Hi Arielle, my favorite video so far on this part of your PCT hike. We lived in Bend and loved it while we were there. Loved the trails there so to see you and the group hiking them brought back some great memories for me. Safe travels on the rest of your journey through WA. Hugs from Utah

Love it! Glad to see you enjoyed this stretch and how you made the most of an unusually difficult string of circumstances and logistical challenges.
Thank you!! It's def been a wild ride but also a beautiful one :)
Arielle, congrats on finishing Oregon (Sisters, Mt. Jefferson and Hood!) despite closures and other issues! I’m excited to see your reactions to Mt. Adams, Mt. Rainier, Goat Rocks, Alpine Lakes, North Cascades, Mt. Baker! Keep on truckin’, girl; you’re doing so great! To be honest, watching your vlogs from Mexico till now has brought back nostalgia for my past mountaineering trips, but they have made me literally feel younger as well watching your interactions with your companions-which is definitely a good thing ‘cause I turn 80 on 10/10!
Aww thank you!! Happy belated birthday :)
Nice video. Looks like you had a cool trip out there ;)
It was awesome! :)
Got hooked on this journey, when you saw the rock slide on the north side of Mather Pass, and so openly shared your tears -- your great big, wide open heart. That same sensibility runs through all your posts, and is no doubt a big part of what binds this awesome tramily traveling with you on your glorious pilgrimage to the Canadian border. Stinger and Spice freakin' rule. And your soundtrack blows my mind. How on earth do you find all these songs? So good.
Anyway, keep crushing it. You all have such beautiful, life-affirming attitudes. Sooo looking forward to the upcoming chapters.
Wow, this message made my day! Thank you so so much for all the kind words. They mean more to me than you know
@@ArielleShipe Thank you for putting yourself out there and sharing this brilliant adventure with us. And major kudos to your husband for everything he's been doing with the edits and the music. So great!
Please stop at Thunder Island brewery when you guys reach Cascade Locks, I paid for some trail magic for guys or other PCT hikers to enjoy a pint of beer, be safe!
What happened to episode 22? I have really enjoyed your videos.
I've been watching your videos all summer, and just now realized you're using a Jetboil pot with the heat exchanger but a more traditional stove. Does the heat exchanger help with that stove?
When are you going to be in Cascade Locks? Stop by Thunder Island Brewing Company when you get there. They have trail magic beers. Less than a mile from the trail. I am one of the brewers there.
I was there for trail days! We lined up our hike to match it perfectly. Had a couple different amazing meals at the Brewery!! SO GOOD! You guys crush it :)
I love that phrase you used. The break allowed you to 'soften your grip'. Very nicely put. On almost every hike I have ever done I find myself (despite my best intentions) getting caught up in getting the miles. What is the name of that coastal camp place. I may take a break there myself when I do my through hike? Fair winds from Ireland.
It's called Beverly State Park! I highly recommend the little getaway- such a magical place :) And so glad it resonated! It's been a constant relearning practice for me too! I totally feel you!
@@ArielleShipe I was just at Beverly earlier this week, it's such a beautiful place on the oregon coast!
Your friend is limping 😢
18:13 Too bad you didn't just duck under the sign and hike through anyway, like everyone else was doing. It looks like they reopened it just four or five days after you were there.
How did you guys like the Oregon Coast?
Loved it! :)
