Other reviewers really really like this KB. Namely, for what you get in this price range. Even from my own early-on research, you get A LOT for the money. This review, he says he doesn't recommend it at the end. When he gives his reasons, they are limited and he uses "bro gamer" talk that is really hard to take serious. The problem here is, he is the odd man out from the other reviews I've seen so he automatically has to be discounted and tossed from the pool of reviews. Do you listen to one person or do you listen to the other 5 guys that did recommended this KB? Also, why doesn't he talk about Bluetooth or the fact you can add new cases or any number of other mods. I understand he doesn't want an hour long review video but I think he could have done a bit more on educating his viewers. He also rushed his mods. Takes 10 minutes to go the hardware store to get the can of protective sealant for his paint job, which I thought was nice. Why didn't he wet sand the finish? I dunno, people who don't care, or, care enough and don't plan ahead are not doing themselves or anyone else any favors. If you're a DIY keyboard manufacturer, this is probably not the guy you want reviewing your products and, for a lot of reasons. I am fairly disappointed in the review because, I and others know better. I thought the paint job was great. Clearly, this was the highlight of the video and he missed an opportunity here. Clearly, this is a strength of his. He could have expanded on the processes he took, went into a bit more detail to not only show his skill set but to educate his audience with know how, tips and tricks which would have only added to word of mouth, views and subs. He himself even knew he should have sealed his paint job as he admits this. Taking shortcuts in front of viewers like that. no, don't ever do that. People end up with less respect and admiration for what you do. I actually buy these exact KB's myself and heavily mod them, but, professionally which I then resell for $400 to $500 depending on the mods. Depending on the month, and time of year, I sell maybe 8 to 10 keyboards. But when I say professionally, I add in LEDs, laser cut designs with paint inlay, automotive grade paints and sealers that I apply in a small ventilated paint booth. I use cut foams, custom guitar knobs and custom one-off artisan ESC keycaps along with my aluminum brand name badge. Plus, other secret sauce mods that make my KB's highly desired. The point being, there is a lot of value here for me to use this as my base KB. This guy had a diamond in the rough only he didn't realize it. With all due respect, I do not mean to be critical, rather,, I hope I can plant a seed with this guy so maybe the next time he takes a different approach to his reviews and really thinks out his thoughts and his review. I'm going to ghost-sub his channel and hopefully he does some more really cool paint jobs in the future. Always play upon your strengths, remember that.
It wasn't quite clear if you've built with this or not, and I was wondering if you have did you have any problems with putting the switches on? I watched another review and the guy apparently did, so I was wondering if this is common with the board or perhaps just shipping damage.
For real this dude really complained about a $100 keyboard and kept saying there are better out there, but at what price point? Doesn’t even tell us a good comparison
@@Anthony-rl4ok I agree on that, I just bought this KB as my first mechanical, and I was about to start to mod, but this review doesn't say much about it. NEXT!
I just bought this as my first hotswap board, as a gift to myself for good midterms- I think it’s AMAZING for the price. I got the Monet with Budgeriar switches, and with a coupon, it was $85 brand new from Amazon. Not only does this board sound actually kind of okay stock, it’s a solid base for mods!
I got my first TH80 Pro last Feb. Been using it stock all this time. But for Black Friday I saw some deals on the kit version of this, so I decided to try it and do some modding. My original board had the gateron pro blacks. But this time I went with Akko Creamy Yellow V3 Pros and some attractive shine through PBT keycaps (which may not be all that great - but they were cheap and my budget is really tight). So all I'm waiting for is for Amazon to deliver the second batch of switches.. I've already installed some PE foam in the bottom, but didn't do the Tempest mod because I didn't want as much pop. After this board is up and running I'll paint the case on the first one, and add some foam. But it will be used for my second computer.
I got mine with gateron pro blacks, they’re so smooth. I changed the knob to a blue one off a guitar and am looking for some cool caps. I also added a layer of pe inside the case and put switch pads under each switch. It’s my favorite.
I ordered one that looks the same and is the same price, but its marked as TH80 Pro. I don’t know if they fixed any problems. I am used to mainly using my old happy hacking keyboard but I got it for the wireless features and I like it a lot. i went with their Pink Flamingo switches.
I’m so happy I stumbled Upon this video because it can be sorta my guide bc I bought this keyboard (I’m still waiting for it to arrive) but I’m really excited and maybe I can mod it
Hey man, Great video! I am currently waiting for mine in order to mod it, hope it will turn out quite nice. What other alternatives would you recommend considering the same layout with knob? Cause honestly I think that nobody beats this, considering all the features it has
How was this stock? I'm thinking about getting this instead of the tecware phantom but idk about the weird keycaps and the price difference. Any opinions or other boards at this price?

Full CG build vids never disappoint
Nice colors, Can you share with us which paints you have used please ? Thx
man that sounds good
the stabs are so clean bro nice one
Hey CG! great vid! I was wondering which one is better. Boba u4t or Gateron Ink Black v2
This is a really clean build! Taking custom keyboard to a different level 🔥

Im in love with the switches
yea agree with ya man looks good the color. I have the Th66 Need to mod it soon change out keycaps. Gave a like man sorry I am late lol.
What do you think is better for the price?
More mech companies need to offer 2.4ghz like epomaker

the akko pc75b plus is really good too
Is the foam that separates the PCB and top plate now glued on the TH80s?
Great build and great video 👍 ur da best
Again, you nailed it with the video. And the sound that you are able to make is just absolutely insane!
Can you change the knob? I ordered it recently and I haven’t got it yet but if you can change the knob where can you buy a replacement?
you should try out the combo of long pole switches on a half plate
Nice 👍.
Knob is life
This board for whatever reason is an absolute pain in the a** to mod
what are thocky keycaps to get for this keyboard?
Idk if they changed the key caps since this video but I just got the keyboard, if those key caps could be any thicker they’d be BBW
does it matter if you put the tape mod on before or after swapping switches?
Hey! Is the knob on the TH80 removable and replaceable with one of a different colour? I'm completely new to custom keyboards
Yes you can remove it
Would you recommend building the feker ik75 or upgrading the TH80?
I really like the IK75.. but if you just wanna buy a keyboard that you don’t have to build then the TH80 is a great option imo
Okay then im just gonna get the IK75
So I just picked up the “skyline” version of this and it says it’s gasket mounted. So maybe that’s why the mounts were there ?
