Neither of my helix’s hurt but one did get infected. All I did was use a cloth and add it to boiled water after it cooled down so whatever was inside wasn’t solid when I pushed it out. Turns out the one that got infected that bad, and it was really bad, ( I had a Smurf ear) ended up completely healing 3~5 months later 😂
The other one has yet to finish healing.

Stud Earrings is the best to put replacement of a newly healed pierces, like mine after a month it’s been healed already my helix pierce, I just don’t rub it all the time, I make sure my hands are clean
Ive got double helix and i got my first one higher and that hurt on a scale out of ten like 7/10 and then the other one i got below it where the cartalige was thicker and it was like 8/10 but it depends on ur pain tolerance i guess!
Do you recommend the initial piece to be the banana type on helix? I went to my piercer for a double helix and they put me that kind of piece. It's been 6 months, i have smalls bumps and I was thinking of change it for a straight shorter stud. It's ok?
