it wasn’t bad, and i’ve got a pretty average pain tolerance i’d say. it was about a 3/10 and was pretty quick. healing has been good! the first 2 days it was great but then i bumped it and it swelled a little. it was a bit puffy and sore for the first 2 weeks but i looked it up and that’s normal and has nothing to do with me bumping it lol. it’s now been a month and it doesn’t hurt to lay on or touch. btw i stopped cleaning after 2 weeks and went to a professional

@Sydney it Didnt hurt as bad as i thought it would every time i brush my hair i used to hit it with the brush but this month it doesnt hurt at all so good thanks but i cant wait to start changing the jewellery wearing the same earring for 3 months is driving me insane 😭
i got mine done 3 weeks ago, and it didn’t/hasn’t swollen up once. it’s been the least problematic piercing i’ve gotten (i have seven total). i’ve been reading a lot of comments and seeing a lot of horror stories, and i feel really lucky. hoping it stays this way with frequent cleaning and the help of an airplane pillow 🥰💎
My third lobes were more problematic than my helix lol. I had to take my 3rds out the first time I got them bc they never healed. (I was dumb and went to Claire’s) I got them redone at a piercing shop and they’re doing pretty good, but they were out of flat backs for the lobes so I had to settle for butterfly back ones. 🫤can’t wait to change them soon!
My helix healed in 9 months.. like a little baby. i’ve had it for a year now and it’s great. i’ve had my rook for little longer then a month now and i don’t feel anything, haven’t had any compilations yet. just can’t and won’t sleep on it

I got my helix piercing 11 months ago and it still sometimes hurts, you have to get the right jewelry metal. And make sure to get it done with a needle, a gun can shatter your cartalige

Idk how people use the q-tip to clean their piercings 😬 in these vids they always make it seem like it'll hurt by doing that. I just spray the solution directly on the piercing

My piercing keeps getting a tiny bit infected, then goes, then comes back and it never fully heals. I’ve had it just over a year. I’ve started using the cleaning spray again and that seems to help
I used healing disk, people say it’s not good, after 3 years of huge bumbs, i finally got rid of them. And they are great now!!
My helix took over 2 years to fully heal and every so often I bump it/sleep on it wrong it’ll get irritated and hurt. That’s just how they are!

Hi. I got my helix done on the 14th of October this year and it’s healing very well. I’m doing the salt soaks twice a day but just wondered how long to I need to keep doing those ? I can’t ask my piercer at the moment as London UK is in lockdown again and they are closed ? Can you please advise ? Love your channel by the way and wish you were in the UK ☺️

I got mine done about 6 months ago and it’s still feels fairly new, the pain can be pretty rough at times but it’s not unbearable or anything... it doesn’t hurt in the way you would expect it to though, it hurts more on the inside of your ear like a wound... the first week is pretty grueling so if you do it maybe get it done during a week that you don’t have much going on or where your not planning on going swimming or exercising excessively that week, I got mine done during quarantine bc I was worried if I got mine done while at school, that at my drill team practices it may be bumped or hit by someone or something... but with all that said, I also had gotten two upper lobe piercings along with my helix so not only was the helix a pain but I had two more that also hurt almost as much, but in no way am I trying to scare you off from getting one, I’m just trying to be brutally honest that yeah it’s gunna hurt but the aftercare is the hard part... but none of it is unbearable or anything, through my time having my piercings though they do hurt, it’s completely manageable and I absolutely adore them!! I have three lobe piercings and a helix and I constantly get compliments about them, and all of this is coming from a 15yo with a low pain tolerance who also got three piercings at once, but I love all of them and would totally do it again, and I plan to, I want to get a conch later this year on my other ear!
TLDR: yeah it’s gunna hurt but the pain is completely manageable and pain is temporary, if your thinking about getting it you should just go for it, I was so worried about it hurting and all that but it was totally different than how I expected to go through, I love my piercings and I’m so glad I got them, if your thinking about it I would just go ahead and go for it, don’t stress about it too much just go out on a limb and get it, everyones experience is different and you’ll never know until you try, hope this helps at all! A month shouldn't be that bad but maybe put some tape to protect it and wash it afterwards

So- I’m a swimmer and I’m getting my helix done on Monday- so in three days time, and after getting it done I will have about 3 weeks before I start up swim training again, is that okay?
I got mine pierced a few days ago and the piercer said i would not be able to swim in a pool for 2 months...
I got mine done and missed one week of swimming then went back and my piercings been fine

Depends on how high your helix piercing is if it's a mid helix you should be fine but in my opinion you should get your industrial piercing first just so your helix doesn't get in the way
I had to take mine out, it kept getting infected and it started to reject.. that was painful lol
Don’t have a helix piercing if you wear glasses daily , i had to remove mine because my ears get on fire each time my glasses rub the upper part of the piercing ( there is no way to avoid this unfortunately ).
Also you can never sleep on your sides for at least 3 /6 months . Please think wisely before getting one it’s really not as easy at it sounds !
My glasses don't come close to my piercing! I've had it for 15 years now issues

@@leeja-na6463 I actually got my conch like 2 weeks ago and no I didn’t feel anything during getting pierced and with my conch I didn’t have no pain after it was already pierced. I used this sea salt saline spray that my piercer gave me and it helped me so much I haven’t gotten piercing bumps or infections and I’m in love with my conch and it is healing perfectly! But if you do get a conch make sure you say you want a hoop if you do in the future cause it’s pierced a little differently but don’t change your jewelry so soon. And I haven’t pierced my helix yet :)

@@Shopluluave i just cleaned it with warm water last night and the black thing disappeared, it was a a dry blood but now the color is kinda yellowish similar to a bruise. ill go to my piercer if i have a free time thank you :)

I'd say abt a 2.5/10, didn't hurt much and was really quick

Definitely! I got mine done in September. Didn’t hurt at all (but ofc was a bit sore after). I’ve been switching earrings since November so I’m assuming it’s all healed now too!

@@natzpjm oh gurl I feel you!! I got mine 6 months ago in August and I love it!! I was 14 when I got it pierced but I’m 15 now... I already had two lobe piercings before I got my helix, so when I went in I got both my third lobes (one on each side) and a helix! It took me a little while to convince my mom to let me get them but she finally gave in because I offered to split the cash and pay for half of them. You should totally go for it girl I love my Helix and I want to get a Conch on my other ear sometime later this year, it hurts to get it pierced but it’s more of a pain inside the wound rather than out, so it’s hard to explain, but it’s not unbearable or anything and pain is only temporary but your piercing is forever!! If you think you want it you should totally go for it! I constantly get compliments on my piercings and I think there super cute! The after care of your helix is the sucky part, it will hurt for a good week and sleeping around it is a challenge but I also had a harder time bc I got 3 done at once and both ears were newly pierced so I couldn’t sleep on either side but it was still manageable and I have a low pain tolerance, so if I can handle 3 piercings with the pain tolerance of a snail, you can 100% do your helix!
