My mom has this piercing (for 20 years) she sleeps the way she wants, never really gets caught on anything and she used to wear helmets all the time to ride motorcycles. It hasn’t bothered her. When I had mine a long time ago I was the same. Unless this is like a can’t do this stuff while healing the it makes since but I feel like half these are kinda wrong.
From exsperiance I can say the longer you have it the less it will happen but it definitely is nearly impossible to do anything at first without snatching it and tugging it everywhere.
And your physiological also has a huge factor from how big your ears are to how well your body heals and how your immune system responds to metal
Just like some people can only wear gold and some people get keloids but some people only get keloids on cartilage and some people get them everywhere
I stretched my ears to 12mm and then are now not even big enough to fit regular ear rings, it's all up to your anatomy
I think it's just for healing, the sleeping thing
Get pierced with a stud, not a ring. Yes, the rings are cool af BUT studs are much easier to heal and LESS likely to catch on things.
You’re so right! 🙌
Do you need a special stud or if I wanted to bring in like a good stud I could for a helix one day at a piercing shop? I have one that my mom she lost her other she passed and when I’m 18 my dad says I can get the helix of it a peridot.
Hey guys I'm 13 and got my helix piercing yesturday on both sides. I did use a ring though, but only because my ears are shaped funnily and my piercer recommended it. She was really lovely and patient. Overall though I think that the pain was like a 4/10 but it will be less if you get a stud because I did it with a ring. Sleeping is quite easy and you can go swimming without pain or infections, plus it doesn't get caught on anything. After about half and hour of getting my done, I couldn't feel it and it didn't hurt. So I please recommend getting a helix piercing. 😊
Thanks : )
noo!! I got one In October and It Healed in like 2-3 weeks! and There's no Problem With Sleeping or anything! and It Doesn't get Caught on Everything!! Not even My hair! (unless you're wearing that type Of earring which is Stucky and all)! everything Is Good! tbh Go get One Its cool!!!
Does it rlly not affect sleeping bc I’m thinking of getting one but now idk bc of this video
@@Marikabbynah i got one n it does effect sleepin tbh but i got mine on da right side so i js sleep on my left side now but u should get it its fs worth it😂
@@fwtx.malachii Oh but would it be possible to take off every night or do you need to keep it on?
@@MarikabbyU gotta keep the earring on for 6-12 months to fully heal then you can change it
@@Marikabby It really depends. I do experience some issues with sleeping on my ear.. I had helix piercing done on both of my ears five weeks ago, I suggest to start with one side first..
I got my helix piercing 2 months ago and it’s perfect healed now
I have a helix piercing and it’s actually not bad at all! Firstly it looks great, the sleeping thing is only for the first few weeks/days, and the piercing pain is probably a 6/10… I HIGHLY recommended this piercing 😘
I got a helix piercing for my first piercing (other than lobes got those done as a baby)
1- Healing took about Four months for me
2- I just slept on the other side
3- If you get a standard hoop they’re honestly really cute anyway
4- Honestly it never got caught on anything for me
5- I use earbuds not headphones, you can get some at a local store for cheap. Helmets will hurt but just take some advil before
6- I got mine done in january so never had to worry about swimming
Thanks for sharing! You’re part of the lucky 🍀 club! 🥳
OH NOT THE SLEEPING,I JUST HELIX YESTERDAY AND I CANT SLEEP ON MY SIDE ANYMORE,AND WHEN I HAVE TO DISINFECT IT OW!BUT ITS SO WORTH IT❤❤❤
the sleeping is just extra pressure when it’s fresh can irritate it
I just got mine today I’m abt to learn about the sleeping stuff,
Actually my helix piercing idk if its fully healed but its been about 4-5 months and I change it everyday. It was hard at first but then its fine now. It only pains when I touch it.
You’re part of the lucky 🍀 club 🥳
I got a double helix piercing on my right ear a little under a year ago and its finally healing for me, im just able to sleep on my right side again and i dont really notice it getting snagged on my hair anymore (pro tip for the hair thing- pin it away from your ear w hair clips, its cute and functional!) I think im a slow healer but still y'all should be ready for long healing time
My friends mom got her helix piercing back in 1987 and she never had problems with it she said she got it caught on a shirt a couple months ago and it started hurting and got a bump on it.
0.15 I'm sorry but it's funny the way she does the swimming 😂
Gotta ❤️ her
Tbh..after getting helix pierced, I used to sleep the way I want and nothing has changed! :)
For me sleeping same i change it even though its not healed and i didnt know the swiming thing so i still did it and it does get caught on my hair and i still wear headphones 😅
I told myself I regretted getting the piercing everyday for a week after getting it but I love it now two weeks later
Oh dear can’t wear headphones
I did helix piercing on both of my ears a month ago.. my advice is do not wear your headset/headphone as it would disturb the healing process and may cause some infection or tenderness. 🥲🥲 My right ear seems to take forever to heal.
Just be extremely careful
I just got my second helix done yesterday
Hi want to ask u I want to get helix piercing
but I saw some videos and they are saying it's really painful, hard to sleep etc
so since u done it can you tell me how painful it is and stuff
Please thank you
Only problem I have with my helix is it catches on my hair 24/7, other than that no problems, can sleep on it and it doesn’t hurt, took like a few weeks to heal
I have 2 of these peirceings and I am a competitive swimmer and had to swim sence the very first day I got it up to now.
Are u okay, because I swim as well and I want one but im scared my ear will get infected!
@@SiimplyBasic well you can’t swim for several months after you get it
All wrong except, the healing depends on your body
I sleep fine and I only got mine 3 weeks ago 😂
Oop I only waited a week for my industrial
POV you never had any of these issues and continue doing them all
Shes cute. I would.
Mine healed within a month.....
no swimming for 3 months and I swam at the beach 3 days after 💀 oops (don’t do what I did kids)
Okay I wont having any
Get a stud helix not a loop
You can swim after two weeks of getting a piercing
Don’t recommend it but if you do you need to make sure you clean it asap
READ THIS IF YOU GET A HELIX ⚠️⚠️⚠️
While getting a helix, do not get it from ages 10 and under. You cannot sleep on that side, swim or dive, and touch or play around with it, in the meantime ponytails are a must, INTENSE cleaning, and yeah
Trust me everything on this video is 100% accurate dont get it
🤣🤣 i have helix and forward helix so i can understand 🤣🤣🤣
Yessss
