I have been a Trivium fan since the beginning of time. I'm 55 now, I remember bringing my 7th grade son to a Trivium show in Portland so many years ago. It was amazing. He took lessons to play "Down from the sky" and we still love everything Trivium brings.

Saw these guys when I went to see Slipknot. I was dumbfounded that this was the first time I’ve heard them. I bought their cd at that concert and was hooked ever since. They’re guitar gods and are extremely talented. More ppl should listen to them. Rock on Trivium!!!
The evolution of this band over the years has been an absolute pleasure to follow. They've come so far and yet, the music the make hasn't lost ANY of it's quality or punch. I remember being 15 years old, listening to Ascendancy for the very first time. It was the portal that opened me into being a huge metal fan. I always wondered if I would be an adult still rocking out and enjoying them.. the answer is yes, so much yes! Trivium is aging so well and I think Alex Bent was the last missing piece of Trivium. Instrumentals sound as solid as ever, the temo changes, complexity, prog-ness, it all sounds so cohesive. But one thing I will say, Matt's Vocals (clean and unclean) have never sounded better in my opinion. Hats off Trivium, keep up the good work! Can't wait to see you all again this year!

this combines all of triviums best sides, amazing. this is the sin and the sentence part 2, in the most positive way possible. they finally found their sound, their kind of way to stick to. keep alex, please. this is what i was hoping for. most anticipated music release since fall 2017, and you did not disappoint once again.
Man, Corey doesn't get enough love. Sure the drums are amazingly good, Paolo did a great job on the bass, Matt's vocals, and especially the cleans are superb, but that solo, while not Corey's best, is sick! Great mixing in general.
Interesting! I like the different vocal approach from Heafy and the fact that he's exploring higher vocal tones - and that mid section with guitars sounds pretty cool too! Getting slight Shogun vibes from it as well but I think its safe to say that this is going to be a continued step in the right direction. Bent's drums absolutely kill it too!

i'm not a big fan of the song... as in, i don't find myself casually listening to this, but i can definitely appreciate it. i'm a long time trivium/matt fan, and i'm definitely biased here lol. there's admirable talent at work here, a killer tone, well articulated structure (which isn't always an aspect i enjoy, but def appreciate), and most of all: a beautiful synergy with the members. all of the things i seem to dislike are entirely subjective, and not worth regarding. especially from a couch amateur like me, LOL. you guys at trivium keep doing as you see fit. enjoy it. the fact that the band has put out content of this quality is enough to make me very happy and looking forward to more.
Tbh I wasn’t sure I liked it at first but then decided I needed to dissect it further. I’ve probably listened to it 14 times since. Definitely better on subsequent listens.
Euan Harrison I’m hoping Paulo gets a NASTY bass solo on one of the tracks. We’ve had a couple good ones but nothing that’s reached Becoming the Dragon levels. Torn Between Scylla and Charybdis had a good one but was shorter.

Its just so tastefully done…a lot to unpack in one track….tempo changes, multi-movement, emotional, guitar harmonies, love the snare and tom tom sound and recorded well, brilliant video, Trivium has evolved significantly over years, and this has to be one of my favorite metal albums.

Interesting! I like the different vocal approach from Heafy and the fact that he's exploring higher vocal tones - and that mid section with guitars sounds pretty cool too! Getting slight Shogun vibes from it as well but I think its safe to say that this is going to be a continued step in the right direction. Bent's drums absolutely kill it too!

i'm not a big fan of the song... as in, i don't find myself casually listening to this, but i can definitely appreciate it. i'm a long time trivium/matt fan, and i'm definitely biased here lol. there's admirable talent at work here, a killer tone, well articulated structure (which isn't always an aspect i enjoy, but def appreciate), and most of all: a beautiful synergy with the members. all of the things i seem to dislike are entirely subjective, and not worth regarding. especially from a couch amateur like me, LOL. you guys at trivium keep doing as you see fit. enjoy it. the fact that the band has put out content of this quality is enough to make me very happy and looking forward to more.

Tbh I wasn’t sure I liked it at first but then decided I needed to dissect it further. I’ve probably listened to it 14 times since. Definitely better on subsequent listens.

Euan Harrison I’m hoping Paulo gets a NASTY bass solo on one of the tracks. We’ve had a couple good ones but nothing that’s reached Becoming the Dragon levels. Torn Between Scylla and Charybdis had a good one but was shorter.

For those who haven't already, buy and download the single, get some really good quality speakers, studio monitors or in-ear headphones/monitors, and play this shit loud. UA-cam does nothing for the dymanics and mix of this song. The downloaded single is legit so so much better and will blow you the fuck away.

Something that captures the essence of those records. We have definitely enjoyed all your albums from IW to SatS, but something in this song (and hopefully album) just comes through. Maybe inspiration, love for music, your souls, well, something! And we are truly grateful for that! Repeat count: 15 and counting. This is staggering, magnificent and leaves audience speechless!
Trivium is a great band. Haven't listened to this song and others in the album in 2 years roughly and still memorable. Trivium has great tracks from all their past albums. Still never saw them live.....

Listening to this track a countless number of times now….beyond epic! Its just so tastefully done…a lot to unpack in one track….tempo changes, multi-movement, emotional, guitar harmonies, love the snare and tom tom sound and recorded well, brilliant video, Trivium has evolved significantly over years, and this has to be one of my favorite metal albums.
