- this happened in Norway. Sorry about the text in the video, not much I can do about that tbh, but the guy in the Mini Cooper lost his license for 11 months and had to pay a fine.

How about a translation to English, and not ending the videos at the good part? Waste of fuckin time watching this shit.
brake checked a truck and passed on a solid double yellow on a curve with oncoming traffic......4 time loser in one move
I just hope people like this get their license revoked for a long time. Stupid stunts like this can cost lives
'4 time loser' I like that one!
@@dontbememe7364 he got a ticket and lost the license for 11 months
Splash one Zero!
Don't forget he didn't want the truck to merge originally even though his lane was ending. Showed in 1 video multiple times he can't drive
I really hates it when car drivers always assume that semi trucks can stop like your ordinary vehicles🤦
You can`t tell by the video, but the road is going downhill as well. Not very steep, but steep enough to inflict longer time to stop. This happened in my home town, and I know this area pretty well.
My father always says that you should have to pass a class in physics before getting a license.
I like that idea.
Because they are retarded
If they are not able to stop well, then maybe trucks should be going slower?
He's definitely going to miss his nice warm car now that he has to travel by other means for 11 months in the Norwegian weather
@Roy B No way dude
why 11 months and not 10 or 12....EDIT: never mind i found out why later in the comments
R u kidding? Just because your license is suspended doesn't mean you don't still drive. Lol. It's all superficial. I have friends that never had their licenses in their 30s and drive to work daily. Yall are fuckin stupid
@@alexandercameron645 “superficial” until one gets pulled over and has to halt their lives to spend months in jail or pay hundreds of dollars. Sounds like an easy thing to avoid. get off your high horse, anyone can obviously break laws without immediately (or ever) getting caught. No one wants to get caught so they either get the license or don’t drive like shit. Lmk what happens if one of those people you’re referring to gets pulled over, warnings don’t last forever.
@@alexandercameron645 you do realize that this is Norway which probably has much more stringent laws
and then he opened his door towards oncoming traffic
For sure! Stupidity at its finest!
And did not pull over to the side

That is the way a front hinged door opens
I know this may sound wrong but I'm glad you hit him because he brake checked you and he paid the price for his stupidity.
i've seen another version of this video and it shows the dumb guy get out with a "why did you hit me?" look on his face. He deserved to get hit for that bone-headed over take.
+ Bad driving You are obviously an idiot. 1. It is NEVER o.k. to ram someone unneccessarily as a revenge act. We live in a country of law and order not in the stone age. 2. In this case it seems that the trucker took the right of way from the small car, and forced him to brake, what is a violation of traffic rules. So I completely understand that this car driver was angry. He sort of overreacted, but at least he did not cause any damage.
Unfortunately here in the US, that trucker would out of a job, & would have a VERY tough time getting another.
Over here in the UK the driver of the car would be fined and automatically banned for dangerous driving and reckless endangerment on a public highway.
In the UK if somebody brake checks somebody and it goes bad for them, they are liable for all damages incurred. They cannot claim on the other vehicle's insurance as they broke the law.
misanthrop1958 You might want to be careful how you toss around the term idiot.
1. The trucker did not ram the car as a revenge act or anything else. The driver of the car decided to come to a complete stop on the highway in front of a tractor-trailer unit that was significantly heavier and couldn't stop as quickly. That's why the trucker wasn't charged.
2. The car did not have right of way. The video points out the road markings and the sign indicating zipper merge. The trucker appropriately adjusted his speed and had the right away over the Mini at the merge based on positioning.
The trucker did not violate any traffic rules. Meanwhile, the driver of the Mini did more than over react - he drove in a manner that only by chance did not get anybody killed. When he illegally cross the double yellow line, he came very close to a head-on collision with the oncoming car. He then illegally impeded traffic on the highway by slowing to a near stop, which caused the collision.
Because of his moronic choice of places to stop, everybody behind them on highway was then stuck behind them because there's a guardrail on the right and oncoming traffic on the left.
That's why the driver of the Mini ended up with the equivalent of $1450 in fines and an 11 month driving suspension - the judge stated the crossing of the double yellow and the sudden braking created highly dangerous situations.
For those who want an English translation of the text:
The recordings are from a dashcam on a truck.
The car behind reacts when the truck drives onto the road.
Later the consequences. Follow to the end.
But what does the Road Traffic Act say about how to merge traffic?
According to NAF, the driver of the truck is all right.
The sign indicates fields with acceleration and merging.
The driver accelerates early and adjusts to the speed of the road.
Road marking specifies merge field.
The merge starts where the marking ends.
The driver finds a big enough gap to drive into.
Both have a mutual duty. One will adjust the speed, and the other will make room.
The driver in the car behind makes an illegal overtake because he is slowing down.
He has explained in Sør-Trøndelag district court that he would stop the truck jumper because he meant he was irresponsible.
The driver in the blue car was sentenced to pay a fine and banned for 11 months.
Wow! Banned from driving for 11 months? These Norwegians don't play around. Imagine if that came to the US...
Thank you
Thank you for the translation. It's good for the driver in the blue car to be banned for almost a year. His temper was out of control and he could have killed somebody.
No Commentz hey ass wipe, have you heard of common courtesy ?
BCMTUK thanks
This is a good example why dash cams are worth it.
What a satisfying video. Good job! It's even better knowing all the blame was set to the mini driver.
Dawid Czerwinski Still makes you wonder if it didn't cause the truckers boss to hold it against him or his insurer to raise his rates.
The only problem with all this is if he doesn't show the video to the police then it's going to be hard to prove a road rage incident and because he was hit the car from behind he's at fault but if he does show the video then it shows him intentionally hitting the car from behind even though the whole incident was from road rage.
Honestly it probably will work out better if he shows the video because at least the other guy would also be charged.
lol
Well, where I come from, when you hit someone stopped in the road, it is your fault. That does NOT mean the person who stopped for no good reason is a nice guy, he's not. But anytime you hit someone from behind, it is your fault. Here in the US, even having a video, what do you tell the judge? "Hey, the guy just stopped so I hammered him", and the judge says "OK, so that makes it his fault". Don't think so
@@jimquantic No it's not. There are plenty of instances where someone deliberately braking in front of a heavy vehicle has been found at fault. It depends on the circumstances and intent.
The smallest car on the road brake checking the largest car on the road. It's really too bad he didn't just flatten him completely - survival of the fittest population control at its best.
c meskee largest car 😅
@@joppekim Bulshit! Not in this country. Before dash cams it was pretty much impossible to prove otherwise, but now that you can show this sort of moronic behaviour it's the brake checking idiot that's PROVEN to be the entire cause and the truck driver is cleared of any wrong doing, as it should be.
@@joppekim You obviously have different rules where you live to here. That seems incredibly unfair to me. She went through a red light so she would have immediately have been in the wrong here. The "blind spot", there are usually several. That is sad but wouldn't completely get him off here, though it would be taken into consideration. I'm somewhat amazed he was treated like that when she ran through a red light to hit him though. That seems very unfair and unjust to me.
@@joppekim: "It is very unfair I totally agree with you, but it is Norway and some of our laws are completely idiotic. "
Wow! That is just incredibly unfair. To guys who drive anything for a living that's just ridiculous. I could understand if they maybe temporarily suspended your license while the (or whatever your equivalent) forensic crash investigation unit assessed the situation to see if there was anything he could, or should have done to avoid the situation, but when the result is clearly that the truck driver very clearly wasn't in any way at fault, especially if he had a camera or cameras to prove it he should absolutely not have to suffer the hardship of losing both his job AND his licence. How long does a driver lose it for there after one like the one you described?
@@joppekim Sorry, I meant to say I absolutely agree you quoted from that "paragraph 3". That's how everyone everywhere 'should' try and drive, it doesn't mean that innocent drivers caught up in someone else s stupidity should be penalised though. It sounds more like very good general advice to all drivers. I don't understand how they can interpret that as "idiot drives through red light and is invisible to the driver of the truck but he loses his license regardless", that is totally unfair to any professional driver, and absolutely disastrous to any poor owner driver trying to make a living AND pay off a rig. I'm so sorry for you guys having to live with that sort of result hanging over your head for really doing nothing at all wrong.
Luckily the truck driver has the video as a proof. Without it e.g. in my country the driver of the Mini could have said it was all the truck driver's fault. :S
Dia Péter it is the truck drivers fault you fucking tool
beardedvillain0
- were you even watching the video? Truck needs to merge into lane and is ahead of the car in that lane, car doesn't let the truck merge hence the horn (because the truck takes whatever opportunity to get there). Then the mini driver says "I'm not having this" and proceeds to overtake when he shouldn't, endangering completely innocent people in the process.
And yet, despite the need to hoot the horn AND overtake the truck, he had all the time in the world to slam on the brakes resulting in the collision. Incredible, right?
Don't know how you can side with the Mini driver and the fact the ruling got that person banned from driving for 11 months kinda' tells you who was in the wrong.
you will struggle to find a lorry without a dash cam these days.
beardedvillain0 well your one dumb fuck arnet ya.
eh, it was m8
Even if the Mini had a case initially, the move he pulled against the oncoming traffic was fifty times worse than whatever happened to him and therefore he deserves everything he gets.
The mini never had a case. The truck was in front of him, so he had to let the truck merge. The truck had nowhere to go. Instead, the mini probably tried to overtake the truck.
NO law requires you to let someone merge in..... If it's not clear, you don't merge and wait.
No, the Mini had no case... the Mini is *required* to give the truck room to merge there. They did not and blocked the lane for the truck.
The Mini then goes on to do an overtake, over a double-line...
...with obscured view...
...against oncoming traffic, barely missing a vehicle...
...and then tries to block the road for the truck, playing traffic police.
That is five different violations. The Mini has never in the right here.
+jcsjcs2 I don't know what country you're from but most first world country the responsibility to merge safely is on the person in the merging lane. If you have to make someone slow down or brake YOU are in the wrong and you would get a ticket for failing to merge safely. He should've slown down before and anticipatted the taffic better... He waited until there was no more lane ad he cut the guy off.
@@tiramisu1p4pgoat6 I don't know what country YOU are from, but in most first world countries, it is everybody's responsibility to drive safely and there re rules for how merging works and the lorry did it exactly according to those rules. The Germans call it zipper principle. ;)
Back around 1971 I was driving a semi with a refrigerated trailer. I was based in Florida and mostly ran up and down I-95 to New York and Ontario hauling produce.
I-95 wasn't completely finished yet and you still had to run short sections of 2 lane that ran through small towns.
Once there was an accident that I didn't see but came upon shortly after it had happened. There was a car that was mostly flat that had what was left of its occupants still oozing out what was left of the windows. Very gruesome. The story goes, there were a couple of older ladies in a car with a fully loaded semi behind them bypassing a part of the unfinished interstate. They were approaching a red light when it turned yellow. Apparently the ladies slammed on the brakes for the light unexpectedly. The semi couldn't stop and as he swerved to miss them he only got over far enough for the wheels of one side of his tractor trailer to run right over the center of the car rear to front. I can promise you that you are playing with fire by brake checking big trucks. It is a very stupid thing to do.
You see this with people trying to make a left turn across two lanes from a driveway. The first lane is stopped for a light or something. They pull out far enough to see the next lane has traffic coming in hot and fast. Rather than punch it to complete their turn, they stop, right in the lane and just wait to get T-boned. Slamming on your brakes isn’t always the best response!
No one with sense believes you.
These kinds of videos are always the best. I love when people set themselves up for this 😭
The guy in the blue car was a road rager and I'm glad he was banned from driving for 11 months. But most of these accidents are with people running a scam because they know trucks cannot stop quickly. Can any truckers out there tell about how their dash cams saved them from these criminals?
Imagine being that incompetent you try and brake check a TRUCK
I had similar dtiving a 40 foot artic on M1 .Teens in a car brake checked me twice .On their 3rd attempt i completely lost the plot and speeded up to ram them .They accelerated off like a rocket when i was about 2 foot off their rear.
If everyone would hit brake checkers, they would dissapear from existence
Crossing a double yellow line on a turn. Make it 11 years.
Last time I saw a little car do that to a truck, it ended up in the weeds.
I only wish we could see the rest of the video.
he almost killed that motorcyclist, should never drive again.
When the driver of the mini got out you should have just pushed it down the road
Good reading the description the mini driver lost his licence for 11 months and had to pay a fine that dashcam came in handy for the court case.
Bet that guy in the car is gonna love the video replay. In court.
He didn't, but the judge did. He was banned for 11 months and had to pay a big fine.
@@alexmorgan3435 oh, happy day! :-)
Is the double yellow line a no passing area? The mini driver is very unsafe!
It was so satisfying to see you hit that ignorant driver. Thank you!
Mini drivers, basically BMW drivers without enough money to buy an entry level BMW
Would love to have seen another couple min.
Yes, why cut the video just to save his identity? No, we all need to be able to recognize this idiot as a matter of public safety!
Well done. Up goes the Mini drivers insurance.
Mini people are a special kind.. they think that they have are a gift from God because they have a "trendy" car.. it was trendy 15 yrs ago. And then overtaking on double full line.. stupid.
It’s not even a real mini, they are yuge.
a mini was trendy 50 years ago not now . he over took on double yellow lines not aloud then braked in front of a lorry
So glad you got him on Dash Cam.
That mini brain over took on a double yellow line ...I believe in Norway against the road rules !!!?
Break-checkers get what they deserve, but maybe a spell in prison might be a good bonus prize!
I suspect that the truck could have braked a little harder if he had wanted to, which makes this footage even better 😃
Oh no, never 🙂
They say: "You can't fix stupid"
I think you found a way.
Not really. If I had to bet, I would say that once his banishment is up, he will go right back to being one of the entitled "important people" on the road.
he thought hazards were gonna save a blatant brake check dead stop in the MIDDLE of the lane... lol
Oh, I wanted to see the jerk that got out.
Looks like he has dark hair, so no senile senior here! Just a stupid egotist.
The rules are clear. Every driver here in N'way has got the necessary education to be able to follow the rules. The court made his decision in accordance with the law. There are too many of these drivers as the one in the blue Mini who believe they have inherited the right of way, no matter what and when. Only idiots need a court's decision in order to accept common rules and laws. Unfortunately there are many of those, too many.
Possibly an attempted insurance scam-didn't count on the dashcam
Maybe it was time for the insurance company to buy them a new car?
Got to love dash cam's! They spoil so many plans.
This is one of the funniest videos I've ever watched.....seen it dozens of times & I still laugh my ass off. Laughed so loud I woke the whole house up.
Good to see that mini driver get fined and lose his licence.
It's very decent of the lorry drivers to brake in these situations. I'm not entirely sure that I would. A few more people would die, sure, but, on the plus side, those actually dying would all get a much-deserved Darwin Award.
Arthur Pewtey, you tosser, you would kill someone for a bit of silliness, you really are a fucking idiot.
Yep, and thankfully for the rest of society, forfeit their ability to breed.
Jim Coyle no you are the idiot, these types of road ragers should be banned for life from driving as they will eventually kill someone with their behavior....
You reckon driving like that is a "bit of silliness" do you? Well, each to their own but, from the other comments on here, well, you do seem to be on your own.
Perhaps you're the sort that would try to swerve around that moron, are you? Good luck with that. Usually ends up with entirely innocent people getting hurt or killed, and the guilty party drives off into the sunset, no doubt to do the same again tomorrow. But perhaps you think that's OK too?
By the way, Jim, you don't drive a Mini Cooper by any chance, do you? ;o)
11 months relax...
I would have at least thought about pushing that piece of trash down the road for about 50 more yards.
First the car does an illegal lane change and illegal overtake crossing wide solid line and then he cuts in front of the truck and brakes heavily to cause collision! Looks like road rage to me!!!
When your ego is bigger than your car
LOL wonder what the cowardly mini car driver did after he got out 😂
Yeah, I would have liked to see arms flailing and feet stomping! Hahaha!
The driver of the mini car crossed a double yellow to overtake the truck. Is that not illegal in this country ?
the whole time i thought he was honking at the merc , now i see it was that mini. bongos
you did everything right you merged in like you suppose to. The driver just shy because he not driving a truck like you... Plus I understand he got a ticket and was arrested.
I love to see arseholes get what they deserve.
I guess these fools don't realize that their constant insurance scams have resulted in nearly all of you having dash cameras. Ah well, I'm a firm believer in "stupid should hurt".
"stupid should hurt" - very good.
With an addition - "the stupid person".
ie not someone else.
People please don't think a driver of a truck can stop 80,000 pounds like a SUV! If you wouldn't stop in front of a moving train, why a truck? I've driven for 42 years. luckily, never hit anyone!
I never knew how 'North American' the roads in Norway looked. Solid double yellow lines and all...
theyre heated underneath too with the snow
Norway is the most Americanized country in Europe, in my opinion. Very car-oriented, suburban and an there is an emphasis on easy parking and big box stores. Some like it, some hate it.
Roads in America are approaching Europeans standards.
Steve Jones What do you mean?
The safest roads are in Europe, esp. Sweden and Britain. America's standards are improving, but more slowly. US roads are about 4 times as deadly as British ones.
What I want to know is why on earth did the truck driver slow down.
He didn't. He was just remaining at a safe distance from the cars in front of him. What you fail to think about is that a truck needs a lot more distance to stop.
People these days DO NOT want to be polite and use their brakes. I mean how hard is it to brake and let someone in, even if you don't have to? Just be nice. I do it all the time. I'm never in a real hurry to risk something unpleasant. When I'm merging and a semi goes over into the middle lane I will wave thanks to them. How hard is that?
Agreed! But the truck driver didn't cross any line. This was a mutual "zipper" merge. The sign at 0:29 shows this.
He did what was expected of him and the Mini driver lost his license for 11 months.
Love the fading car horn (2x). Priceless.
They put all their mental capacity into honking the horn instead of steering their car clear of trouble.
Bloody short slip-road if you are expecting trucks to match speed and merge in that distance! (IMHO),
but it ends as one lane , truck is in front, Mini should have yielded without complaint, and not had a hissy fit ,
THEN overtakes over a double line - on a bend just missing oncoming traffic, then pulls that stupid brake-check , could have resulted in the truck pinging him into oncoming traffic,
11 months with no licence GOOD, should have crushed his car as well
This road is being reconstructed to freeway standards.
From the sound of the horn, the mini was right next to the cab, I wan't whatever you're smoking..
In a forced merge scenario, the vehicle in front has the right of way. Clearly the mini was behind the truck, and the truck had no options or reason to stop in the middle of the road to let mini morons thru.
How is it clear the mini was behind and not besides, can you hear a flipping mini horn 40 ft behind you?? NO! That mini was next to his cab, and the trucker forced him off the road, like all the other dumb ass truckers out there. They have this mentality that since their bigger, people will move.
I will never understand why people see a lane ending and instead of allowing merging traffic to move over they decide it's a great time to pass.
Because people like that assume that wherever they are going is more important than where anybody else on the road is going, and God forbid even one additional vehicle gets in front of them and delays them another 2 seconds.
And if it's not that, sometimes drivers go on a little "power trip," like, "I'm not letting you merge. You can wait for me to get past you."
he didn't pass, he was next to the truck already as the truck came down the on-ramp where he's supposed to give way to traffic on the main road; But he simply forced his way through as he's larger and heavier
That combined with the people behind you who merge on to the exit ramp you're taking, then speed way up so you can't merge.
why cut the end off
I don't know how it is in Norway, but here in America when your lane ends it is up to you to make sure the lane you are merging into does not already have a car moving along side of you which is the case with that Mini Cooper. The truck drive was at fault for squeezing out the Mini. I would have also been as pissed as that Mini driver, but what he did after the fact would get him a ticket here in the States because it is against the law to Brake Check anyone on a freeway or anywhere for that matter.
We don't know how long the truck is or where the Mini was exactly when he blew his horn at the truck, so any evidence presented in the video only shows the Mini driver brake checking the truck. In America I believe that truckers know better than to just squeeze out cars riding next to them. In Russia that is a different story, as their truckers apparently do not have any compunctions against just driving wherever it pleases them regardless of where the cars are.
Neither driver has right of way in the states, a truck is going to merge either way and would not receive a ticket. You would be mad? I bet that mini sped up so he wouldn't be behind a truck. Move over for the truck you fuckhead.
Maybe you don't understand the rules of the road Powe300. Any merging vehicle to a lane they are not in does NOT have the right away even if they have their blinker on. You may not like that but you might avail yourself of the law. Even if that mini was just a little bit ahead of the tail of the truck where he could not see the blinker, he still had the right away and it was up to the trucker to look in his rear view mirrors to make sure is was safe to merge. Your bit about the mini speeding up is pure conjecture you use to make your argument seem legitimate. I sure hope I never meet you on the road my friend, because it is idiots like you who believe they can drive anywhere they like just because they put on their blinker that make driving hazardous.
CAPICHE ?
You are so full of shit.
And my fine feathered friend, it is morons like you who ACTUALLY PROVE MY POINT !!! If a driver wants special attention about his or her intention they put on their turn signal. It then become a question of access. It does not give the merging driver any rights over the flow of traffic of the "through lane". If you want access, you ask. It is that simple. Switching on your turn signal is not a demand as most people such as yourself believe. While it might be moral to share merging efforts on congested road ways, it is not written in stone that through traffic must give you that access just because you have your turn signal on. Trucks are a special issue because of their length, but it still does not give them rights above everyone else on the road.
This argument boils down to our legal rights, over moral and ethical considerations. CAPICHE ?
In Norway, where this video is recorded, you have to yield to the merging vehicle if it's ahead of you, so the truck driver did nothing wrong in this video. He adapted his speed to the other car, then blinked and merged. The minidriver is at 100% fault in both situations ;)
An honest question tho about this situation in the US: Do you mean that the truck driver would have to wait until it was all clear in the lane he was merging into? So he could in theory sit there for hours given the cars in the lane he wanted into never let him out?
So the car driver
1- lost license for 11 months.
2- car probably written off, so lost car value.
3-insurance company did not pay out in repairs.
4- paid a $1450 fine in court.
5- had his name all over Google with idiot attached to it.
5 will have to pay more money in future car insurance
6-probably lost job & any future promotions
While the trucker just kept on trucking. What a result.
Hi Phavela, hope you're well! May I have your permission to feature this clip on my channel? Thanks for your consideration.
The not giving way to a merging truck was just stupid but the overtaking in traffic over double lines into oncoming cars, then braking in front of the moving truck is suicidal at the very least!!!! Take away the license now!!!!!!!!!😵😵
not sure about this. who was beeping when the truck merged at the beginning? was that the blue car, unseen, behind the truck? looked like the truck was closing too close to the white car at merge, but maybe he was trying to fit between the white and blue car? blue car had to slow down to let the truck in, that's why he's pissed?
Too bad the vid cut when it did, i would have loved to see what he/she/it looked like
Truck driver did pull out straight in front of the mini, as truck drivers always do.
Rules of the road over there...merging vehicle has the responsibility to match speeds with the flow of traffic, and the vehicle on the highway has the responsibility to make room for the merging vehicle.
Your defense of the Mini driver tells me that you're another one of these "important people" who throw a fit if anybody dares to merge in front of you.
Does the dashcam footage actually work in favor for determining who is at fault for that type of collision. Despite minor injuries from some rearend collisions. I hope the car driver's insurance costs spike for a few years once it's proven attempted fraud
I read some of these captions out loud and my glass of water turned to ice.
This video was in my UA-cam recommended page...
What! No resolution? Where’s judge sentencing this guy to drive in NASCAR for a year, against a D8 Cat...
Isn't the lorrydriver a little close to the silvery Mercedes, as he merges? The Mini driver almost made a frontal, as he overtakes the lorry. He belongs in prison...
The subtitles read like an IKEA shopping list.
What’s the brand of this dash cam?
so you are merging into traffic and you think they should yield to YOU? no, in reality, all traffic that is merging must yield the right of way to traffic already present, even if it means coming to a complete stop in YOUR LANE and waiting for traffic to dissipate, under no circumstances is traffic required to LET YOU IN!
Thanks for the follow-up in the description box.
The text on the video reminds me of the opening credits to Monty Python and the Holy Grail
I can’t read the language, but plainly selfishness, impatience and stupidity are universal
truck driver was driving respectfully, even got very close to the car in front during the merge to make visual inspections clear and obvious
Love to see how they explain that one to the magistrate.
Why did it stop???
I see one mistake that the truck driver made and that was not to indicate left ánd move over to the left lane earlier, seeing that the right lane was ending. He waited a bit too long and then moved over left quite fast which then, in all probability, caused the Mini driver to think that the truck was giving him space to pass him before the two lanes merged. You can hear the Mini hooting just as the truck moves over to the left lane.
My Rosetta Stone has failed me once again.
The mini driver has deliberately caused this problem and deservedly had damage to it by childishly causing you to go into the back of him by braking for no other reason than playing the fool.
Serves him right , he should receive a fine plus driving ban too.
He almost hit a car and a motorcycle when he overtook him over a yellow line. Then opened a door into to upcoming traffic's lane. Well deserved his 11 months license suspension.
merging lanes can be very confusing, it should be treated as a give way line, a broken line means we give way to any vehicle BUT no lines shown means the other vehicle MUST give way to merging lane vehicles!
Ended early, where is the next part?
The dash cam video will exonerate the truck driver.
The goal is to not be involved in an accident. Your car gets screwed up, your insurance goes up and you spend time and money on the side of the road doing things you never want to do.
Why did the blue car stop in the middle of the highway?
"Now, go back and tell the others..."
and now, he's on camera making this truck driver's case for him.
the trucker has also on cam how he himself didn't care about giving way and just merged ...
not sure on the laws in Norway, but in USA you're requeired to yeild to traffic that's coming into the main lanes
It's the same the world over.
Unfortunately there are a LOT of assholes the world over as well.
Where is the mini in the beginning?
did the truck force his way in front on the mini cooper on the merge? i couldn't tell if the truck even tried to stop....looks like another case of 2 wrongs don't make a right....even if the mini cooper should have allowed room for a merge, when he didn't, the truck shouldn't have forced his way in.
All of the commentary is misspelled
My goodness, Norway is very beautiful!
And VERY expensive.
The truck driver clearly has zero concept of how merging works.
Neither have you. This was a so called "Zipper" merge, look at the sign at 0:29.
Dude, that sign doesn’t exist in Canada.
@@pukefacetoilet Which was my point. The truck driver did excactly what he was supposed to do, meaning he had full concept of how this type of merging works. Your comment on the other hand was fully out of ignorance, as you comfirmed👍
In most parts of USA, drivers involved in minor accidents are obligated to pull off of the road if their vehicle is capable. You can't block a highway just because you're having a temper tantrum.
What happened next?
Utter ridiculous of the mini driver. When the lorry was going to have to merge in to the main lane he or she should have just backed off and let him in. Just pure pathetic driving...
The truck causes a very mildly uncomfortable moment by merging into a close gap. Mini wants to teach you a lesson by crossing a double yellow line on a blind turn, narrowly avoiding a head-on collision, only to slam on the brakes and give you no room to stop.
The only way for the mini driver to get ahead of the truck at the merge would be to accelerate and get too close to the car in front. If they had looked to the right they should have seen the truck and anticipated that they would need to slow down to allow room for the truck to merge.
The fact the mini driver immediately gets out before pulling in to the right further illustrates a lack of concern for their own safety and that of other road users.
Firstly, whats the double yellow line mean ?? Where I live, such double lines mean overtaking is forbidden. The merger move, where I live the vehicle in front, either in the lane, or merging has the right of way. So in this video, the car on the main road, being in front of the truck, has the right of way.
