Good coverage! Been trying to spread the good news because these are great red dots, the refresh rate is fixed on the older versions, they should use the XL launch to make it 100% clear that all 3 sizes have a new and improved refresh rate and 10 minute auto-off, they should also advertise the included picatinny mount, great option for offset rifle mounts/offsets.
Vortex seems to have this line pretty well sorted now. If you have Springfield's ear, a 4" compact Echelon with a 15 round sized grip would be nice. Try to make the grip frame as slim as an Arex Delta or Rost Martin, too..
I put the XL on a 556 pistol and the ST on an Elite OSP. I’m a big fan of the larger dot size and the pair have met the expectation. I wish the battery compartment design of the ST matched that on the XL. That’s the only nit to pick IMHO. ETA: I wonder if that “improved refresh rate” explains why the dot outline looks sharper and the emitted light appears more stable than the 407/507 series? Either way, I’m definitely a satisfied customer.
On point across the board. I love my Vortex scopes, but the red dot choice for me is still Holosun. Even with the great and proven Vortex warranty, I'm still stuck on Holosun. The only contention I kind of have is the dot size. 5 or 8 seems really too big for competition shooting for my taste. I like a 3 moa dot best. Didn't know you had this channel, sub'd
Would I exchange a T2 Micro mounted on top of my Ultimak AK gas tube rail for this, or a Vortex SPARC AR…No. But, that SPARC AR works just as well as Aimpoint on a Scorpion S2 Micro, or anything else not AK. That said, with a lifetime guarantee Vortex can’t be beat, & for full size guns this is perfect. Just bought a VP9L conversion kit, & the XL is going on it. Good stuff, thank you.
Nah this guy is a step above IMO. Absolutely no shilling or BS like just about every other grifter in the space. Just good reviews with no nonsense. Just one opinion. He built up his main channel by responding to a lot of comments. That's a guy who is really putting the work in. Just my opinion morgi. Cheers

On Armory Life! Congratulations, man! 😊
The dude is on so many channels 😂
Nice presentation Mike.

Did you have the same issues with the ST brightness getting turned down in the safariland holster ??

Hey brother did you change your channel name?
Love your great gun content reviews!
Keep it up! 🤙🏻🇺🇸
How did you know that I'm shopping for an optic for my Echelon? Now if only it was available with a green dot...
What size screws did you use to mount on the echelon?
Been watching your videos for a while. Really dig them. Did not know I wasn’t subscribing, So I did👍
Fitted mine on my grey ghost slide p320!
Does anyone know if you can get a lower 1/3 Co witness with irons with this optic?
No issues with optic being to close to ejection port?

Dot size is personal preference. Some pros run 3 moa or similar, others like Max Michel run 6 moa (or now 8 with the new Pro)
I would totally use this for a carry gun.
I can’t see past the Echelon long enough to look at the XL 🤣🤣
Did they fix the refresh issues finally
Yeah a while ago
Refresh issues plagued the CCW dot, which they have fixed.

I’m sorry…great presentation but I can’t get pass that amazingly flat shooting echelon!! 😮
All these guntubers starting to look the same…
