Just bought a modded version Ghost (rebranded as Carbon Oxy 10 pro) from a shop in the Gold Coast, Australia. The 800w motors are upgraded to 1200w each, actual max peak output hits 3600w, mechanical brakes upgraded to zoom hydraulics and battery upgraded from 18amp to 60 volt 21 amps. Top speed was advertised as 75km/hour, but in good conditions have hit 85km/hour as displayed or about 52 miles per hour. Range (in eco) increased from 62kms to 75kms. Hill climb up to 35 degrees, from the original 25 degrees. Rated to carry 140kgs.
The thing has some serious kick!
Thanks Micah, you’re reviews are always honest and on point! Really thought I would be ordering a new phantom but every time I watch this video it makes me realize how much the Ghost packs for a nice price!!
@TheWhateverGuy I got the phantom 😁
Nice! Thanks for the Review!
Just looks like so many other scooters available. Would like to see more individuality from manufacturers and effort in refining certain parts. MTB companies could make some amazing parts for these rides!
Nice video though 👍🏼👍🏼
Really excellent review this thing has my eye 👁 😀
Thanks for sharing another good one.
nice & neat design
Great video!! I've been waiting soooo long for my Ghost (since February 16th) and I can't wait to get it!! Watching your video over and over keeps me from canceling my order (because I've been waiting for so long!!)
Did u get it yet.
@@nickbrathwaite66 oh yeah 😎I love it🛴💨❤👻👀
@@nickbrathwaite66 yup! And I am so glad I didn't cancel!!👻🛴💨
@@shawneeterrito4921 how’s the range and hill climbing
Go with this scooter or the Varla Eagle One? I am also looking into the Apollo Phantom, but that’s not able to order at this time that I can see.
Hit 36mph on mine and then backed off. Crazy that it could have gone faster. This scooter is mental!
Does it have regen? How do you activate it.
Getting mine tomorrow going to rippp

How much miles does your have right now?
Beautiful piece of machinery👻
That key dangling in the wind makes me anxious
how about the bare hands going down the bitumen at 34 MPH when he takes a spill? should be nice for gravel rash
So we have a set of keys? But he only needs one key for his scooter?
@@rogerlane2282 spares duh....
How much miles does your guys have?
I did enjoy this review I typically enjoy your reviews. I would like to see a little bit more detail when you talk about the components. For instance what about the braking mechanism and how does it feel, how responsive is the throttle how does the throttle feel on your hand is it ergonomic etcetera does it come with lighting? How about the handlebars do they feel comfortable is there a nice spacing too close together what about the rake how does that feel?. How do you adjust the suspension.? What's the torque available and what grade can it go up? What about the charging port is it accessible how about the on-off for the key is it not a good location ? I can go on and on I feel that if you're just going to ride around and talk about the speed and handling it almost sounds like a promotional video rather than a true review. Thank you for your time and all your effort I will continue to watch just would like to see some improvement.
Solid!
I'm liking this scooter and the kaabo mantis pro se. Which should I go with? I need power for hills and some off road action
Great review as always. You can get essentially the same scooter from Varla for less money, something I'm happy I did.
Their eagle 1 is 200 more than this
The Pegasus don't compare
@@everythingautomotiveeta5839 i was looking at varla too but they charge 200 bucks to ship to canada which sucks, theres a new ghost 2022 now with 1000w dual motors and more range
Even if you don’t want to blaze down the street at 34 mph the full suspension would make your traveling more safe and comfortable.
Do you think 34mph from the Ghost is enough for a rush and to get somewhere in a timely manner ? I’m debating on the Vsett 10+ for this reason and I’m convinced that the Apollo Ghost 34mph top speed is too slow for everyday use. Thoughts?? Feel free to change my mind and save me money
I'm 190lbs and I get 39mph top speed GPS reading 1mph lower than the speedo
They do have a hydraulic brake option for $100 more. That may have been added since this was posted though.
Hey this was filmed on Pine Island Road in Davie, FL am I right? South of 595..
Just bought one used... Got it for a steal. Under $800 .. Hit 39MPH downhill and easily 35MPH on flat ground.. Have not tested the range yet.. But yes this felt more comfortable than the VarlaEagle One which I was comparing it too.. plenty of torque and most importantly. I felt safe with the suspension and how smooth it took turns!! As long is I get at least 20miles range blasting it.. I will say they are a great company!
@stephen wilson how is it going after a month?
@@everythingautomotiveeta5839 I've put a couple hundred miles on it and it still runs strong. No complaints. It just looked and handled better than the varla. Which Is why I was very pleased to be riding the Apollo. Great value!

Anyone know the real world range on this baby? I’m about 205lbs. My guy in this vid is awesome but idk if the 25 miles mentioned is just a guesstimate. Thanks everyone! Also, what do you guys say are the cons? Build quality, maintenance, n safety is huge for me.
Did anyone see how rock solid the fenders are during the suspension test? Other scooters have a super loose, flappy fender. This looks like a quality scooter for $1500.
wotks well but the bolt on mine came a little so i tighten it up and works good smooth ride my ghost came with 1000 watt motors for 1400
what about changing tires on this when time comes is it ease thing or??
I enjoyed your lightweight knee and elbow protectors.
I like how you ride over the grass like it wasn't even there nice scooter tho😃
Micah how tall are you? That scooter looks pretty big
I heard the varla eagle one has a floaty ride feel. Does the Apollo Ghost have it as well?
I'm satisfied with the Ugani electric scooter, price, weight & Mileage is comfortable.
I thought i was satisfied with my ninebot max, until I bought this beast.
@@AM-wi6zo

@@rxonmymind8362 Very comfortable, you can adjust the suspension
I ordered the Ghost, but then decided to preorder the Phantom. The Ghost looks awesome from your review though. When do you think you’ll review the Phantom?
Very soon! :-D
what's the price of the phantom, plz ??
@@hassanelgharbimasc.4192 about $2000 with hydraulic brakes.
I should be able to afford it with the next stimulus check... 😂
This comment right here is why the stimulus check was opposed so much. Unless you need this and plan to drive to work which is understandable but not what the comment sounded like. Irony.. It goes above me. lol
@@MThomasB How do you know it will not be used as a commuting alternative since the car is in its last legs, and used cars and new cars are just expensive these days specially in this economic times?
Very well said your first and reply comment. Yes, lots of stimulus checks coming throughout this year. But don't waste your money on underpowered scooters like these... For $200 less you can get a nicely revised (improved) electric scooter from AliExpress that will get you 50 mph and equipped with Samsung battery here -> a.aliexpress.com/_mtgPo1n
That's 4700w of power, improved suspension arms, and a seat. The scooter has enough power to haul heavy stuff on a trailer (hooks up to your seatpost). The tires are bigger and wider too so you get better control and stability.
@@rockefelleragent1357 Good choice as an alternative. However, with an Aliexpress scooter from China, your customer service is going to be next to non-existent. If you're one of those mechanically skilled people who can fix almost anything, it might be a good buy. Otherwise, if you get your scooter and it has problems, you could be paying $1,300 for something that won't work for you at all. Also, although the Chinese scooter looks very well built, I'm not sure it's a great idea to have a scooter that will actually go 50 mph. That's a bit fast for a scooter. Sure, you don't have to push it to max speed. But who could resist going that fast when you know it can? Haha. An accident at 50 MPH could be somewhat catastrophic. As for the seat, well, anything you sit on, is a totally different ride. We're no longer talking about a stand-up scooter but something more akin to a moped.
@@Ironfangzu Son, Apollo scooters are made in China as well. True you will have better quality customer service but what if they don't have a shop near you that will fix your scooter? They will have to either ship you the parts for you to replace. You will still have to become a mechanic to work on your scooter. Or have the scooter shipped to them to work on it. How much is shipping going to be, and how long would be the turn around time. It's still going to be the hassle on overpaid/overpriced scooter. The link I posted there, that seller must've done some homework. They made the scooter better with newer batch of motors, underpowered controllers, and the latest batch Samsung battery and not the Chinese battery.. they revised the throttle display as well. Chinese vendors at AliExpress must've gotten a lot of complaints how crappy their scooters have been. Now some of these sellers/manufacturers listened and stepped up their game to make up to us customers. I would seriously consider that scooter I linked here cause God told me that scooter is equipped with the latest gen (21700) Samsung battery so it's going to be dang reliable and effective. The battery is like the heart of the scooter the same way the engine is with cars. As for the seat you DO want to sit on the scooter to improve control and stability. The lower center of the gravity will come handy when you make a sudden stop or accelerate very hard. It's a lot more ridable and controllable going at 50+ mph sitting down and your body tilted.
Sounds good. If anything went wrong with it and your in New York. Is there any place here to take it?
The trash lol
Nice review but what about those mudguards? Rear one looks cool and seems to be well positioned, however position of the front one seems useless?
It is, in fact, useless. But it looks very nice and is solidly mounted.
@@ElectricScooterJuice I hate the design. My Blade 10 has the same type mudguards and the rear one is always rubbing the tire.
@@chrisb.1214 Did it get bent? Our seems to be really solid and have good clearance. I didn’t check rigidity sideways though.
they both work very well
Please do a review on friends bike. 750 watt with full suspension for $1,100 seems like a better deal then lectic xp on paper.
Man, how safe are these things? I can imagine some nasty falls at that speed, especially in mixed traffic where a car is not expecting you to be going that fast.
yeah at 64lbs my rad mini isn't much heavier and that thing has 20" wheels with 4" tires.
Sure it'll only top out at 20mph un-modified but seriously how fast do you want to be going when you get doored?
I can't blame the machine but scooter riders also tend to be more like extremely fast pedestrians than motorcycles so I expect bad things as these get more popular.
Some go 100khr but it illegall over 27khr with law
As safe as the operator uses it. I drive with traffic and as long as I don't do anything risky, it's no different than being on a moped. You just gotta keep a safe distance from cars in front of you because you can't stop as fast as then. Keep it 25 and under and it's similar to being on a bike.
you can have a nasty fall on any of these even a bike just as long as you ride safe and know your scooter just respect it like a car or motor bike but this scooter is built very well like a tank ride is smooth
No different than a bicycle. I've had a nasty spill on a bicycle going 45 because my back wheels broke three spokes at one going around a downhill corner. Thank God I had a helmet because it smashed into the pavement and I slid 25' but walked away with some bacon rash but ok.
How do I order one please ! Info??
Sadly in the UK they're illegal except the ones that are available for rent, plus a 15.5 mph speed limit. To take a privately owned scooter you must get it insured and tested by thy DVLA
Typical British lack of freedom. Sorry for you guys.
Hey Micah hows the stem, is it sturdy or have some wobble.
Yes it has a small amount of wobble, but less than many “big” scooters.
Why the brake is below and not on left handle
does 50 miles mean 30 or 50 at 10mph?
I am looking for power to go up small steep hills in my area....my 350watt Segway Ninebot goes up my hills barely at 7mph, embarassing, how much power is 500 or 800w x2 to get up hills if I am 180 lbs?
The rear footrest is a no brainier...quite unlike most scooters. Very well built. To some, all these scooters look alike. It's when you have and ride then that you know 2hat to look for and what you want to see.
With this I'm seeing a price I'm just not gonna pay, since I've looked hard enough and long enough to get what I need from a scooter at less than half that price.....from either Blaze or Evercross....simply put, with the state 9f the art in scooter engineering construction, anything over $1200 I'm expecting speeds over 40 mph.
Evercross only holds 220lbs, doesn't have the best reviews for larger individuals, and is 10mph slower.
The Blaze 1200 is cheaper. However, it is heavier, slower, smaller area for footing, goes fewer miles, and is a less reputable company. Additionally, no hydraulic brakes. So, even though cheaper, you lose a lot of benefits.
Dude, you forgot to mention one of the most fundamental aspects of the scooter...what elevation can it handle? I've ridden so many scooters that can't make it up a 20 degree incline.
You will have no problem with this...
@@PkKingX11 I need to get up 45 degree hills....
@@jtcintl4373 JTC you do not understand the difference from degrees and percent for grade. You are not going up any 45 degree hills you probably meant 45%. No scooters exist that can go up 45 degrees. There are ones that go up to 45% they will cost you 4000usd.
chk out "Alien Rides" channel.... on his ghost review & hill climb test...
@@robozstarrr8930 Perfect! Thanks!
Don't hit a pothole on that jawn
I clocked it to 39 mph. This scooter is way faster than a leopard, so if a leopard chased me, i'd boost off! OMG I CLOCKED IT AT 43 MPH
On a straight away or downhill
i want one where to buy?
My concern is that twist mechanism on the handlebar, it might start loosen up in the long run.
So threadlock it, torque it and fahgettaboudit
Exactly! Goodbye handlebars of death.
Is it front wheel drive or rear wheel drive wheel in single mode?
Rearwheel
Both wheel drive.👍👍☝️✅
Thank very much I'll buying used 2021 ..ghost now with 200km only.
It's a shame that these are illegal in most countries at the moment
Great
What’s the next upgrade for the Apollo? Can we get 1000 W dual engines?
Apollo phantom ;) was just revealed
The Pro has that. Phantom will have dual 1200w. But expect to pay >2k for that one.
i mean...super cool. but man scary on the streets.....
Scary? How so?
A base model Yaris with the small engine can do 180Kph. It's not scary.
@@MrWilliam.Stewart the closer to the ground, the faster you feel like.
Also, car has its protection while scooter has not. I think with that speed, everyone should at least wear Full gear.
My e-bike goes 15.5mph and that’s fine with me, so I’d be very content with the same speed on a scooter. It also concerns me that all of these scooters look exactly the same. It looks like badge engineering on one single Chinese made scooter.
Yep that's pretty much how it goes. Although they also get to choose the materials and batteries. Apollo tends to picks forged aluminum for the frame and Dynavolt batteries.
@@PkKingX11 Cheap batteries get bogged down in cold weather🌡️☁️⚠️🤪
Its a rebrand from a VDM-10

Okay people, please pray for me. I have one of these on order, and am probably a little past the age where this is a good idea. I am imagining flying around on this bad boy. I will check back in later with a fantasy vs. reality report if neurolligically capable of doing so.
I too have one on order!! Can't wait!!
Same here...have one on order that was supposed to be for March 1st shipping but they contacted me and said shipping will be delayed until 15th. Hope it ships by then.

I have the phantom on order so mine is an even poorer decision 😬 We need a scooter support group, lol.
@@marlisajemison3694 Seeing all the panicked people desperately filling plastic bags with gasoline makes me think that maybe it is not such a poor decision. My Varla is on order, expected in late May-early June.
Can you swap the tyres for other 10x3 "off-road" tyres?
I know you can put the wide and hybrid on the Explore, don't see why you wouldn't be able to on the Ghost. There should be enough clearance with the fender. If not you can get different fenders for it I've seen a few for sale on Alibaba. Revrides has a more expensive tire hugger fender that will also work.
yes you can
This is a good electrek scooter
nice . . . i like it & i'd buy it . . . if i didn't have so many friends selling me boosted scooters for a few hundred! Cheers
Be nice if you get run over
How much is the oil change on this??
Oil change?? lol
34 mph max is a good speed if you’re going uphill, which will definitely vary while trying to attempt to contain that speed. After going through two scooters already, I’m better off jumping on the eBike train tbh.
this scooter does hills like a champ i got one with 1000 watt motors at 1400 it was only supposed have 800 but i got 1000 two of them motors
Looks like the kugoo G booster scooter
i swore i would never buy a canadian product because i still have bad experience with after sales service, it is not flexible
It would be illegal in NYC the legal limit is under 25 miles an hour.
The speed limit is 25mph. This is totally legal to own in NYC. If you go above whatever speed limit you risk getting a ticket just like driving a car.
1499 is a decent price IMO but I'd like to see a 21Ah option on there.
Wait for the price reveal of the phantom.
That's what originally held me back. But then after riding my Explore for a few months I realized that I never go more than 10 miles on a single trip so I decided to preorder one.
@@benjaminm5232 nice I have an explore as well but my next scooter I’m going to drop some big bucks on it because I want a premium ride, then I can give my explore to my gf so we can ride together
@@Alextheskater91 Once the full specs are out on the Phantom I'll decide if it's worth waiting. It's going to be bigger and heavier which is why I might not get it and just keep my preorder on the Ghost. The Ghosts' suspension and quicker acceleration is what is drawing me to it.
@@benjaminm5232 I just can’t get over how flimsy the stem looks, all of the reviews I’ve seen of the ghost the stem looks slightly bent unless that’s how it is. The phantom has a new design and the integrated screen on the handle bars won me over
So smoothers in Canada can go faster than Ebikes? SMH
How much would it cost for the insurance and tax for one of these scooters?
Depends where you live, however in most countries this thing is illegal. Most countries have a max speed limit for e-scooters between 12 and 15.5 MPH
Most countries also regulate them in the same way as cyclists. So no tax or insurance.
These are looked at as like riding a bicycle here in California.(no insurance, registration, etc) I’ve ridden mine without a helmet past a cop before and he kept driving. Helmets aren’t required here if you’re over 18 years old.
@@Alextheskater91 Im in cali too and just bought a 40mph capable Mantis Pro. Screw the 15mph restriction! And screw the no riding on sidewalk law too
@@Alextheskater91 I was riding at less than 15mph when my front tire unexpectedly caught a seam and threw me off. I landed on my shoulder, causing my head to whiplash and crack my helmet hard on the concrete. I would be in the hospital now, or worse, were I not wearing it.
I'm scared to ride this in CA. Too much strict laws
So cool can I have it🥺
DualTron is still better??
yes it is but this wont break the bank Dualtrons very sweet rides
Straight to jail if you use this in Norway :D
That's insane.
I will use it in Norway! I have a motorcycle and have no driving licence. But I don´t care as long I know how to avoid police. And I will kill anyone, who try to put me into jail.
That's a bit excessive...30 mph max in florida but most of the rentals are no where near that...30+ on a scooter takes big balls and I used to roadrace motorcycles 😉
That is bad ass! Good job. I’d probably kill my self on it now but 20 years ago watch out!
Varla Eagle One is better imo
Edit: Same cost.

Greenscreen technology...nice!
I want a scooter not a billboard....First thing I would do is repaint the deck at least if I got it....
I thought if off road scooter it is illegal on roads

Horrible after purchase customer service. I have got issues with ghost right out of the box, their customer service is polity and caring but they will send one reply per day if you're lucky. They refuse to replace my scooter on claims it is not unused as it registers 1 in the meter, which is impossible not to considering they instruct you to do a test for the wheels and brakes during assembling, so right there and then you lose your claim that the scooter is unused as the mileage will be registered. They say the scooter depreciates when it leaves their warehouse, but the fact that i paid full for the scooter didn't seem to bother them on sending me the item with muliple issues, they simply do not care about customer rights.
these look convenient but super dangerous!!!
