Hi! I have a question for you. Who can take more damage in Halo Infinite the brute or the elite officers? I mean the same ranked brute and elite officers...
Great video, utterly insane that this game is going to end up being almost 2 years old, if not older, before a mode as staple as Infection is added. Kinda sums up the state of the game tbh
343 clearly lives rent free in your head. Tons of us are having fun without constantly complaining about what isn’t there currently. Maybe you just need more friends to play with that are not overly critical video essay influencers?
@@revan5293 it's impressive that they always lower the bar with each halo title. How is it even possible to fuck it up that often? The community is exactly telling them what we want and they still can't figure out what we want.
God, you naming all of the community's social game modes brought back SO many memories when I played Halo 3 back in the day. These days I dont play Halo, but man no game has ever had a great social game experience like halo 3
Idc what anyone says before they can make a good infection gamemode they need to add the propper weapons for it. The classic shotgun is a must and the magnum would much better than the sidebitc..kick yea sidekick😅
While the release of Forge and the winter update have been a pretty big W for the community, I feel like I still need to compartmentalize my excitement and love for forge. Yes, it's been great and has already given birth to dozens of new game modes and hundreds of maps, but looking at this game from a broader perspective, it's still a crushing disappointment. 1 year from launch and we've got less than a quarter of the content we should've had upon release. Still pretty big desync issues, bugs and glitches galore, terrible clunky UI.. The winter update is a step in the right direction to be sure, but there's still a looooong road ahead before we can consider this a full halo game.
They literally had to go out of their way making the stupid core crap. They would have to make a list system which lists what pieces can go on what to restrict what you can equip
Currently spending hours trying to code infection in my map. My mistake was not finding a working infection template to start on. I didn't realize 343 still didn't have infection....
“No one likes being the first zombie” BISH i will throw myself to the zombies if i am not the first zombie, i will wipe all the survivors as a zombie and it’s the most fun aspect of infection
There's a lot of chaotic but wholesome energy in this comment. I wish more people that played Infection were generous enough to throw their life away for the sake of making the game a bit more fun.
@@LaperLarden I love infection but I prefer firefight and it was an awsome way to gain xp without having to be screwed by ninja pro players. But Halo Infnite hates casuals
0:31 - Ah shit, he knows 3:21 - valid point, however, if they're not implementing the bandit rifle into the winter updater (for whatever reason that might be), then I'm not going to be expecting infection nearly as soon 3:51 - okay, imma stop you right there. The leaked version of infection in the file browser has got to be the single sweatiest mode I've ever played on a custom game night. Everyone camps, nobody helps the 1 starting zombie actually play the game, and for goodness sake, the camping is atrocious. Halo 2 players back in the day would not be happy 4:47 - wait, that happens? 5:05 - How hard were you trying to not laugh during this entire segment? 8:16 - I did enjoy the bloopers, very funny Now for my additional notes: For infection maps in infinite, if you want something that plays like previous infection gametypes, I suggest disabling shields, setting health to 140%, disabling the motion tracker and spawning players with a bulldog and mangler. This gives you an infection with a slow firing but hard hitting "magnum" as well as a shotgun that can reliable 1-shot but only at close range. Disabling the motion tracker also makes it a bit fairer for zombies, given the prevalence of camping in infection currently. Halo Infinite's infection needs to be able to work in tandem with the scripting in forge. Imagine a system where if you're infected, you can earn back being a survivor after getting x amount of kills, or for the ability to integrate campaign AI into infection in a way that works. It also needs an optional toggle to disable the ability for survivors the see enemy player outlines, while zombies retain this ability, as this will prove to greatly enhance the experience while playing as a zombie, and while playing as a survivor on maps such as "into the mist".
Definitely gotta agree with the removal of the motion tracker and the player outlines. I'm really hoping that becomes an option you can toggle for gamemodes and not just a personal setting like it currently is. It's not exactly scary getting attacked by a giant red blob of HUD goo that you can see coming from a mile away. It seems like Infinite is just sweaty in general, huh? Regardless of the gamemode being played. Maybe some better maps with less spots to camp would improve the experience. Or even having more starting zombies. Or if we were living in the best timeline, we'd get the magnum and pump shotty back.
@@LaperLarden I do think a lot of the blame for how sweaty infinite is is just because of how games are played today. Nobody wants to volunteer as an infected because everyone else just camps, though I agree with you, in that a lot of maps right now do not support infection very well. Need more soft kill barriers on high vantage points and more movable cover
Honestly with me infection has always been my favourite mode in any game. But even I have to say, the games technical stare Albeit the desinc, lack of servers and general buggyness of the game still ruins any session I have in it to this day. That and the horrible ui and not being able to search a specific mode or map
Can 100% see them bring back infected as a limited time game mode attached to a BS 10 tier event pass and then taken away cause "they read their metrics and algorithm and deemed it necessary"
You could easily script the old shotgun into the game by altering the new shotgun. Lower "rounds per second shot" and increase dmg. That's it. Should be an easy nobrainer for 343.
343 is trying to make a general "mini-game" mode since Infection *became* that in every Halo previously. The idea being that the end-result could give you way more freedom to make things work in much less janky ways.
