matias ignacio catalan garcia I highly disagree. That was the first album of TMV where I couldn’t play from start to stop without skipping songs. Not to say there weren’t good songs but it was very apparent something had changed. De-Loused, Frances, Amputechture, even Scab Dates their live album can all be considered “drop and walk” albums in my opinion. It was even worse with Octahedron and Nocturniquet

Nearly three years since I first watched this video (it was in July 2011, I believe) and three years later, it's still one of my favourite drum videos. I try to imitate Jon's style into my drumming (often failing) and watching this or old Volta videos, it feels me with massive inspiration and passion to jump straight onto the kit (not literally!) sick grooves, great technique and originality.Thank you Jon and thank you Stan for flawlessly covering these songs.
You are fucking insane, I'm having trouble finding words to describe what I'm feeling, I've never seen someone other than Theodore play the Eriatarka chorus and that odd part in Take The Veil like you did, holy shit, what a monster.
The Eriatarka chorus is literally one of the easier complex-sounding parts he created, too. That part in Take The Veil still evades me, though. Eriatarka is really fun to play because of all the ghost notes.
