Beautiful! Pontos have hit the mark with this one but it needs your level of skill to maximise its qualities! 👏🏼👏🏼

I'm glad I watched this. I was thinking of buying it; but not now, I am not skilled enough.
I wouldn't even pay to have someone make it for me; too much work involved. This kit is on a different level.

One trick i learned gluing very small photoetch parts. Use a toothpick or a pin that has a little wax on the end (barely enough to make it shiny). The wax is sticky enough to pick up and manipulate the part - but it will let go when it touches the glue. Sometimes i just make a bit of wax into a fine point and use that the same way. With tweezers i too often end up dropping the part or getting glue on the tweezers - which can ruin the fun too :)

Truly impressive… you make the impossible look easy. I spent hours yesterday on Infini models HMS Monmouth detail set. I was ready for insane asylum at the end of the day . That was a 1/350 scale simple modern frigate, and not the most detailed and complex battleship ever made( in 1/700 scale)! She is a beauty… your skill is inspiring . Thank you.

This is my favourite class of battleship, and have two Fujimi Next Yamato, and Aoshima's version as well in this scale. I plan to convert them into her sister ship, Musashi, in her original configuration.
I own a few books on both, and have the 2005 film about Yamato, and that new feature, 'The Great War Of Archimedes'.
Now, back to finishing watching this video.
Take care, and all the best.

I am curently doing the Tamiya/flyhawk (13 sheets + many brass goodies) and though to myself, ''Wow it's gonna be so very detailed'' but after seing your model, I can see that the flyhawk kit is missing A ton of details still....
Also the pontos dont look so frail compared to the flyhawk.
Too late now...Thanks for sharing, i will look into pontos model for future builds.
