This video reminds me of my childhood. My father has a '71 18 hp Evinrude that was my family's main boat motor for many years. It is in his storage building and is a good candidate for a will-it-run video. I had better remember to haul it home. Thanks for the reminder.
It is wonderful to seeTHE Chrysleroutboarddude back on UA-cam, along with Pepper. Your videos keep me going through the winter months Ben. Thanks for posting more.
I can't wait to get my 18 Johnny going. It needs a new exhaust housing and upper gear case housing. The bolt holes were drilled all the way through and it was put back together with counter-sunk machine screws and bolts. Talk about a hack job!
Just working on my 73 18 hp. It would run in a test tank for about 5 min then quit and I would lose spark on both cylinders. Once it cooled I would get spark for 5 min then it would quit again. I am putting in a new driver coil am I on the right track? Thanks Jim

I'd did get EVERYTHING out there. Good to see it and you on the water again.
Good to see you back!
Glad to have your cellphone showing speed. It's how I watch the three I have, two 9.9's and one 15. 9.9 seems 26/27 km/h and 15 about 33/34 km/h
Same exact motor that's on my Dads old Monark Jon Boat. Planning on rebuilding it if I can find the parts I need.
