1:37:02 Per rule 702.139c, mutating creatures do not enter the battlefield, but rather merge with a creature already on the battlefield. A 'when this creature mutates' trigger is not affected by Panharmonicon. John is correct that he does not get to do it twice.
First time I ever submitted a point screen, and it made it into the episode. Made my day.
No dude that's mine I made that point screen
@@7ItalianStallion The Spongebob one? No, you didn't. You know they put the Twitter account with the image right? I'm The_Rotund_1

Stephen: I'll let you draw 12 Jeremy.
Narrator: He did not let him draw 12.
Narrator = Morgan Freeman
idk what made me smile more, the end of the video or the REAL end of the video. it was like watching a marvel movie, ends sweet but GOD DAMN the end credits vid has me hyped
Wow that ending. Dont forget to put Lurrus in the graveyard if you want it to trigger cutthroat :) I'm pretty sure the trigger on the stack that Stephen responded to killed Jeremy though??
No, the cycling thing Stephen would have payed for didn't resolve because he was dead first. But, yes, if Justin had put lurrus in the graveyard, he would have won.
Yeah Justin won. They forgot about the last one on the stack. But Justin also counted Lurrus and forgot to put it in the graveyard even though he got the Zulaport trigger, so he deserved it
For fairness sake, Jeremy actually lost. When Stephen did his last cycle there was one zulaport trigger on the stack. After the cycle, Justin sacked his last 3 creatures, killed Stephen and left Jeremy at 1, at which point the one cutthroat trigger should have resolved and killed Jeremy.
Putting it out there despite the fact that I usually cheer for Jeremy.
I'm glad someone else noticed. :)
While it was cool to see Jeremy do over 38 damage in basically one go, this is a mistake I would like to see rectified. When they make a mistake in the middle of the game it can be hard to change, but this is easily fixable.
It is also worth noting that Justin doesn't get any extra points if they change it. He would get 4 for first and lose a point for killing everyone in the same turn, netting 3 points. The only thing that changes is Jeremy would only get 3 points for second instead of 4 points for first.
I think the final damage was correct - he put Lurrus back in command zone which wouldn't have triggered Zulaport.
@@SMTHPFFMB wouldnt that also mean that stephen would have lived?
One of the best Commander Versus episodes ever 👏 Thanks for keeping us entertained through the pandemic guys
Can star city games make Justin Parnell spawn tokens please?
Ending was amazing soooo good loved it wow just wow
OMG Randamonium had me rolling. The memes aligned too well.
I was laughing so hard that Justin got a Kami card :)
Great episode! Justin that lurrus deck looked so fun, I’m going to build it. Gotta say I’m loving Suarez’s deck building this season!
Closest/most epic commander vs game ever. Keep up the awesome content guys! 😁
First up: Thank you for the game guys!! #TeamParnell! The ending was amazing, here I was hoping for Justin to break the black/white curse and Jeremy happened.
Then the random general on Justin was just teerrrrible, I wish him good luck on that.
Take care guys and thanks for the laughs!
Justin won
I feel like Justin is about to flip the table and walk out. Lurrus lost at the last second then gets randomly given a kamigawa tribal legend. Omg my heart goes out to #TeamParnell
OMG what an ending! You have to feel for Justin. A lot of times when he's playing B/W he's in the lead/control. And then just gets got out of nowhere. But happy for Jeremy.
Justin should've won...they forgot a zula trigger
Gamora: Did u neglect to finish that last point on Jeremy?
Justin: Yes
Gamora: What did it cost?
Justin (With a Takeno, Samurai General card next to him): Everything.....
Two small errors. Justin didn’t pay for his sinister concoction the last time. He untapped his swamp to consider it and then didn’t retap it. He wouldn’t have had that mana to make a spawn. If we let that go then Jeremy dies because the lethal cutthroat trigger for Stephen was on the stack when Justin went all in to kill Stephen. They then forgot about that trigger which would’ve killed Jeremy. But commander isn’t perfect. Especially over webcam
not to mention a sorcery is not a 'non-land permanent'...
Really fun interactive game today. No one was overly bitter... That mono white Samurai deck coming soon though... spicy.
T D lol what are you talking about jeremey was so salty
And then he won in the end. Literally acted like a child.
@@blackblooduser5376 Kinda agreed since he was probably frustrated that he was never gonna be able to do stuff with his commander since Justin can easily remove anytime for most if not all the game. He should be lucky that he won.
this was SUCH a great game + ending.
10 out of 10 with rice.
Wow, what a close game at the end there. Jeremy held on by the skin of his cheek
Love seeing Terraforming Mars on Jeremy's game shelf.
Justin getting the samurai legend was one of the funniest things i ever saw in this series XD
your sadness feeds me Justin
This
Just an awesome episode! :D
A god damn good episode, yes sir.
Man I was laughing so hard that Justin is forced to play a Kami card next week :).
Now technically Justin forgot to put Lurrus into the graveyard which I'm sure was the intent considering Stephen died. If that is the case a zulaport trigger before the slide was missed and Jeremy was actually dead for his turn
Shouldn't have the final cutthroat trigger resolve and kill Jeremy?
Seen a couple people saying Jeremy should have died to the final zulport trigger. However Justin untapped his swamp for sinister concoction and never retapped it. So he shouldn't have been able to make two spawns at the end step. Therefore the life totals would have been the same.
I was laughing at the end, but I have never felt worse for Justin. It is one thing to lose but another to get the only stinker out of the random commanders. Also it is mono white to boot.
This episode goes to show every single point of damage matters in the end...lol
Tilted Justin is best Justin :D
Will there be an episode with commander 20 but with your own upgrades added to them ?
Can someone make a pointscreen when Darth Vader tells Luke that he is his father and instead of Vader and Luke put in Takeno, samurai general and Justin instead? The long nooooooooo he made just made me think of that.
I just want to say I love you guys.
Such close wins, not to mention from nowhere, make Commander so much fun!
Justin won. Punch jump start was an illegal play due to not having the Mana
You guys should change seat order soon
"Khyle, did you get me a spawn token?" "I didn't get you anything." Classic.
@1:48:00 Justin did not pay for the Sinister Concoction enchantment he cast from Lurrus.
I’m glad I looked because I was going to comment the same thing lol
best game ever. keep up the good work
So good, down to the very last wire.
Jeremy went out like a true Izzet Mage. Rielle is a beast.
Yooooo what an ending
I've got a Jegantha/ Mutate deck that's really fun and can be a big killer.
next time y'all do viewer decks I hope you'd pick mine.
39:45 Flip cards? I didn't know Ixilan was part of Kamigawa!! :p
I don't know whose salt I love the most - Justin or Stephen!
:3
I gots a feature~♡
My points screen made it~♡
Is Stephen Green going to buy the Mountain, Go (Lightning Bolt) Secret Lair?
It feels as if that Secret Lair was made for him.
TEAM NOELL! What a roller coaster. From Stephen's horrific betrayal to double galvanic punch. 5* would watch again.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but Justin won. Gravitic punch says pay additional costs including Mana and Jeremy didn't have the Mana
So Steven I think I haven't noticed the obosh in action but I feel zirda is a better companion for 5 color cycling
But then you can't play Astral Slide
Is that the older one? The new one works but the old one doesn't you're right
I thought when you mutate onto a creature and the creature that was the target of said mutate dies from like a lightning bolt, the spell fizzles and both creatures go to the graveyard?
You think that...why? Even not knowing the rules on it doesn't make sense.
On the last turn, don’t those two spells count as commander damage because Rielle is doing the damage?
Commander damage is only Combat damage.
Thats my reading too, both instants cause the creature to do damage, not the instant does damage.
Probably the reason they were on someones decklist.
Upon further reading, it has to be combat damage in the combat step.
Rather weird but thats MTG for you.
Question, since those cards said creature deals damage, would that count as Jeremy killing justin with commander damage?
no commander damage only counts in combat
Commander damage is only combat damage.
This was amazing in so many ways....Justin got rekt twice!
#teamgreen
Justin won. Gravitic punch says discard a card plus pay cost and Jeremy didn't have the Mana
Is Stephen playing from a doctors office? Cause that wall is bare!
Isn't having crux of fate in the deck illegal according to the jegantha companion, there are 2 black in its mana cost?
So... um... did you guys forget the trigger that kills Jeremy after Stephen dies or....?
Stephen was dead before it happened if Justin woulda put lurrus in the graveyard and since Stephen woulda been dead there would have been no trigger
@@narvack the trigger from Justin.
Stephen was at 3, Jeremy was at 4. Justin sacrifices. Stephen triggers Faith of the Devoted. Justin does 3 damage in response. Jeremy lives at 1, as initial trigger before Faith of the Devoted is forgotten about, or am I wrong?
Jynxed yeah because Stephen is dead but since Justin didn’t put lurrus in the graveyard actually Stephen was supposed to be alive and jermey dead but if you do it the other way Jeremy lives and Stephen is dead
The Todd McFarlane Spawn comment 😂😂😂 bless your Mr Green
2x speed binged ✔
I'd like to thank Justin for ignoring the haters and playing Orzhov decks when they appeal to him. As a big Orzhov fan, I'm happy someone in the group will play them @_@
Justin is the hero we need #TeamParnell
with illuna just run one combo with all permanents and everything else just ramp, land, and disruption
Fun game but so many big misplays in the end. Jeremy should have died due to cut throat triggers in the same turn as the other guys because there was a trigger missed when Steven cycled. But also Justin untapped a land at 1:48:14. He should have had 1 less mana and 1 less spawn token so 1 less damage which is really big in this game. Just wanted to mention it. I am a huge fan and yall are human. Keep up the good work.
How do you submit point screens properly? I made one last week and may have submitted it incorrectly.
According to the outro you just tweet at Director Kyle
Ha, Jeremy was the villain for 200, and the hero for 201. Great game. Great teamwork actually. I was thinking you should have swung at Jeremy, but I understand why you swung at Jon. Jon is usually full of tricks. Have fun with the Bushido, Justin. Deserves gots nothing to do with it. 😉
Stephen keep calling it Jengatha, but it is Jegantha
Sir Redbeard 404, RTFC not found.
Epic!
Perfect finish
We miss you Justin
This episode was funny,
Nice punches.
Wasn't legal. Jeremy didn't have the Mana
How do they have multiple commander’s w/o parter?
Companion
Wooo, gotta try that Illuna deck out.
Wow I almost turned it off after an hour and a half of it not being eventful. But that finish! I'm glad that I stuck it out to the end to see it.
First thing I said when seeing the thumbnail. “God dammit Parnell another orzhov deck 😂”
Poor Justin now has to play with a Kami card next week :)
jon always builds the deck that i planned to build but not have built yet. even the same companion
Watching after the companion nerf announcement, not sure lurrus's days are as numbered anymore.
wait, you ca play companions that are off-colour identity? nvm, missed jegantha's ability
? There was a trigger on the stack left... jeremy should be dead, anyone?
Star city games, how do you plan to rectify the last turn cycle, since justin technically won?
So how does the hybrid mana work with jegantha and obosh? Should he be able to play obosh?
Jegantha has wubrg in its text box so its 5c
Also, playing Jegantha as a Commander means you ignore the companion requirement, so you can run cards with duplicate colors in their costs. Stephen’s actual restriction is Obosh’s of only running odd cmc’s. I haven’t looked at Justin’s decklist, but I’m sure he went with 2 cmc permanents just to maximize Lurrus, not bc the deck had to be built that way.
Pretty much. It was why Justin was able to drop the Utter end mid game
Imagine having the job of keeping life totals, and 1 damage is dealt to someone at 1 life and you forget to put them to 0...
Nice.
I wish oko goes up in price it’s one expensive card I have
Idk when this episode was recorded but technically there is no longer sideboards in EDH therefore no more companion slot. Dont mean to be rude just trying to clarify considering I didn't see it mentioned in the video
I can't believe they went the whole episode calling it Jengatha, when it is Jegantha lol
I thought companion wasnt allowed in commander? I'm pretty sure I've read that somewhere but I might be wrong
companion is allowed, as the commander or the companion. Currently there is one companion card banned in the format, it cannot be in the deck or serves as the companion or commander and that is Lutri, the spell chaser
that was a hell of a punch. or, two punches I should say.
so, no bojuka bog, but rest in peace is ok right? :)
Gotta love winning at 1 health in edh.
game starts 18:18
You are my hero. Why do I still watch these guys?
@@criscofields7242
Because the salt from Justin and Jon is just too entertaining.
JEREMY POG
Didn't win.
Poor Justin. He kind of deserved it with the way he had the game locked down. Well done Jeremy! That was an excellent game.
Justin won. Jeremy didn't have the Mana to recast punch
How are ross and corey at the studio but you guys arent?
I am kinda surprised Ross and Corey is still allowed to do the same show despite the COVID-19 problem.
@@shawnaustin9437 the only thing i can think of is theres only 2 of them?
Rough one for Jeremy
i really hate Stephen saying Jengatha instead of Jegantha.
Lurrus probably won't be banded in commander so no rush with playing it here
I hope he doesn't gain banding in commander. He's already too pushed, no reason to give him more power.
@@jokerES2 Well played good sir, well played
Dunno why but I kinda want Justin's and Jon's screens flipped haha
will there ever be a companion+partner game
Bearded JEREMY!!!!! Bearded JEREMY
i just play Lurrus because its op
