I have started a spreadsheet that is going to create stats for each player going back to season 1. Tracking who has gotten first blood the most, wins, most points overall, season wins, and most points lost.
I had considered going back to look at how many times Stephen was attacked, how many times he attacked people in response, and how many times he complained about being attacked, just to see how they line up.
I feel I have to point this out for ruling purposes; from the point onward after the Zealous Conscript took Sun Titan, it was no longer paired to the Silverblade as Jeremy had lost control and that nullified the ability
Really happy you guys are back for the 20th season! Congratulations! Has anyone got a list of the season champions? Has Jeremy won it back to back now?
Have they done the commander 2020 decks yet, because I have been loving my Shadowborn Mardu deck with Jurina at the helm. And would love to see what they would build with the Wedge commander options.
@@anthonykalum6956 I have thought this for a while. This would help prevent certain player's styles constantly causing the same problems for the same players, and would change up each game. It would also let players tied for last go 1st and 2nd, instead of one going last, and instead the person in first possibly going 2nd. And I don't feel like it would take much effort.
"maybe I have an anthem effect" "maybe I have it equipped cause mine doesn't have shroud" I know he can't say it on video but he was radiating "Look here you little shits" energy hard LUL
Sun Titan would have been untapped by the Zealous Conscripts and Jeremy could have untapped Mother of Runes as his one creature for turn. Giving Sun Titan Pro Red was still possible. The real problem is Jeremy should have had no blockers on Stephen's turn, allowing Stephen to play and equip Blackblade Reforged (not playing Unstable Obelisk) and have a kill through commander damage (even with John's enchantment in play). I'm not sure he would have gone for the early kill, but it should have been an option.
Hey guys, @Kussler2 here. Will you do some kind of Q&A (-Video even?) in der near Future? If yes, one of my questions would be: what do you actually do for a living/what's your primary job? Thanks and keep it up! And congrats to Season 20 👍
Cryptic Command taps ALL opponents creatures Wildfire Devils is choose a PLAYER (including the controller) Soulbond is broken is you lose control of either creature so many major game-changing play mistakes this game...
I hate to be *that* guy but, could you record the audio separately and sync it to the video so it doesn’t sound like an Xbox 360 chat room? They all seem to have decent setups. I’m not good with editing so please let me know what I don’t know!
Hey, kind of tangentially realted, but JEremy, are you not doing anything on your UA-cam channel any more? I was going to ask Justin the same thing, but I see he posted some new content this week. I would have though that this would have been the perfect time for some new Think Twice episodes...
I really appreciate the irony of Jeremy asking about player vs opponent for Chandra's Ignition when it didn't matter but that difference (or something similar with Cryptic) mattered two other times. It really might help for everyone to stop asking what cards do and read them themselves. It's kind of baffling how everyone blindly trusts Stephen to know what a card does, when it's kind of his MO not to.
Its almost impossible for us to look up a card that another player has while we're playing, so we're forced to rely on the person with the physical card in hand to make sure they know how it works.
Is nobody going to point out the cryptic command taps ALL creatures your OPPONENTS control? Justin's board shouldn't have been the only one affected by the tap mode.
Exactly. They really need to RTFC every time they play a card. 20 seasons in and they're still making basic mistakes. I like all 4 players but it's frustrating seeing things like this...
Dang Jeremy should have blown up Justin's though vessel since he had an answer to an artifact. It would have lowered his card count in hand and it would lower that power on his Commander and Chandra ignition would have sweeped the board
Still plenty of rules error. But overall better than last XX episodes. But you should at least read your cards when you play it. Stephen plays probably his own league when he cant get it right even if he read the card like 10 times :-)
I watched an old video where Jon did that because Justin was playing K'rrick, and Director Kyle was dominating..still, Jon proceeded to sit there and sic the table on a neutered Justin after he did 1 explosive play and got shut down and had like no lands. Made me pretty mad.
@1:09:04 Steven; 6 Mountains (12 red) - 5 red resummon commander - 15/15 (14 justin cards, 1 gaunlet of power), equip black blade 3 mana - +6/+6 = 21/21 Chandra's Ingintion for the last 5 mana - Commander leathal on Justin. "Target creature you control deals damage equal to it's power to each other creature and each opponent" Commander is doing the damage
i am so similar to jeremy in the simple fact that he agreed with justin the fastest about the snow covered lands, all just to get the game moving/get john and stephen to stop being butts. a little jabbing is fine here and there, but constantly jabbing at the same thing gets annoying.
Um, maybe individually. But if you also take into account the other cards that exist in Magic, Id have to disagree. Adamaro is hands down the worst of the four (outside of something like this), but I'd argue that Masumaro is easily better than Kiromaro and maybe even better than Soramaro just due to the sheer amount of evasion that exists in Magic.
Twenty seasons! Kamigawa legends! Truly a Commander VS miracle, congrats fellas
You shouldve seen the 4 player mill episode xD
@@EvilM0nkeyRules that was a episode for sure lol
20 SEASONS! Having watched every episode, iv probably watched more episodes of this than the Simpsons.
Here's to another 20!!!
Wildfire Devils targets a player at random. Stephen you're also a random target but you excluded yourself. Could have been a free lighting bolt.
Typical RTFC
and he even reads that card more than once...
Hey leave Stephen the cardboard cowboy green alone he’s just dumb

This is really interesting! Always wondered about who the season champions were, they don’t seem to tally them up
I had considered going back to look at how many times Stephen was attacked, how many times he attacked people in response, and how many times he complained about being attacked, just to see how they line up.
This is a very ambitious project to embark on! I wish you luck on your journey, sir!
how is the project coming along btw?
I would love a link too it
Game starts at 18:05, but honestly watch the intro bc it's great!
guys Jon reiterates "tap ALL creatures" @43:30. Jeremy just needs to pay attention
That's true, also they should all know Cryptic Command by now
Justin casting spirits and arcanes is 👌😍
I never realized that Maro was in all of these hand size legend names but now I can't forget it!
Thanks guys for the short break between season this really is what I look forward to each week .
When Steven stole
the sun titan it was no longer bonded with doublestrike. So the rest of the game he shouldn’t have had doublestrike
When Jeremy said he didn’t think he live past 20 and now he is almost double that I felt that lol hardcore man I understand no matter what they say
Not to mention cryptic command “ • Tap all creatures your opponents control.” so jeremy’s creatures should have been tapped down when steven attacked
Yeah Jon even said all creatures out loud weird that he didn't tap them.
I thought I read that too.
Thank you for posting this as I was going to have to.
Congrats on the 20 seasons...love you guys
Thanks for taking such a short break!
I can't believe you've been doing this for 20 years already. What an achievement!
I feel I have to point this out for ruling purposes; from the point onward after the Zealous Conscript took Sun Titan, it was no longer paired to the Silverblade as Jeremy had lost control and that nullified the ability

When the post-game salt was geysered all over the conversation, I couldn't help but think: "Keep talking, boys. It's just meme fodder."
I was wondering if you could announce when you'd like people to send in their decks for viewer submission
You can send the submission at any time during the season or off the season and they pick eventually.
Do people normally DM them on Twitter or @ them or what?
@@Batterypowered7 yes to both

You guys should change seat order soon
I think the seat order should change every match based on point rankings. Last plats first, third plays second etc.

Love the videos guys... but the rules misses on this one made a big difference... Devils, Cryptic, and Sun Titan.
Sage was summoning sick, Justin could not attack with it. @1:05:00

Watching old videos are fun!
I want a "Commander Vs: It's at least OK" t-shirt
20th season, great, congratulations!
I'd love to see slightly longer seasons tho
I never thought I'd live to say the day Justin Parnell plays a Kamigawa Legend.
YESSSSS season 20 hype!!!!
Jeremy technically saved Stephen with the swords to plow, team parnell but have to point it out.
The 20th season in 2020!
"I have extra planar lens and the Director gave me half snow covered forest and half normal forests" Whelp my sides are in Orbit now.
Thank goodness

Stephen could've won, blade blade commander, swing for 25(3 gets blocked) for 22 commander damage
After a rough season for #teamparnell we're back!
I love nobody catching wildfire devils even tho Steven reads it quite literally 4 times out loud during the game lol.
Justin finally won a game POGGGGGEEERS!!!!°°
I did not really found information about this so I may just ask this here: Where can I submit a Deck for the Fan Episodes?😅😁
@ Director Kyle West or any of their twitters. You tweet them and send a deck list or mail it to Starcity games
I read the title as Season 2! I've got some catching up to do.
jeremy seems so happy, good
cryptic command tapped all opponent's creatures so jermy couldnt give sun titan pro red cause mother of ruins should be tapped down

so many major game-changing play mistakes this game...
Why don't you guys ever change up your seating?
They did. Stephen used to sit next to Justin. They moved things around a while ago. I think it would be fun if they did again
Looks like all the Kamigawa cards won it for them this time! Maybe Justin won't hate on Kamigawa quite as much. :D
Just want to say I'm pretty sure Multani would be affected by meishinn as it doesn't "Target" it's ALL creatures.
Man that could have been a team green win if jeremy popped his aura, could have taken a point from justin
Seems with your commanders' names, it would be a TRIBUTE TO MARO theme. :)
Holy crap, I thought there were two Justin's talking at the intro.
Shut. Up. Steven.
edit: Glad to see Justin win one this season already!

what? not sure what you mean, looks like he drew one card.
The rise of Darth Parnell Kamigawa is nigh
Does Jeremy get a point for saving Stephen?
2x speed binged ✔
Devil can target their own player as well he could have scored the bolt back!
Steven Y U NO EQUIP!? You had the mountain that tapped for double and the unstable obelisk ... Could have done it brosef
MaRo would be proud.
No one else is playing green, so Justin could just replace the snow-covered land with regular lands. Everyone's playing a different color.
How fitting, the player who won
MasuMarkrosewater v. SoraMarkRosewater v. KiyoMarkRosewater v. AdaMarkRosewater. MaRo themed episode.
