@ActionJackson842 Actually it's bad to rev any engine when it's cold. But diesel are told to be more sensitive to that than petrol engines. I have 1.4 petrol engine in my car, and in winter I always let it run for about a minute or two before driving.
I just ran into this video at random. I seem to be having a similar problem with a Corvair. Fuel is coming out the new gas tank through the sending unit, but is not traveling through the fuel line to the engine. Fuel line is clear. I'll figure something out. Good luck with your project as well.
It's like, "Ok I'm gonna start the Bus... Bus: PPPP-kchunk. Aw crap. Ok this time I'm gonna do it... Bus: PPPP-kchunk. Crap. Ok gotta try harder. Bus: wiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrrrrrr...! Kchunk. Dammit. Ok this time I'M GONNA DO IT. WIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRRRRR (Engine Hum) VVVVVVVVVVVVvvvvvvvvvvvvv
Lol....sounds like you're ready to be rid of it. Lol. Don't blame you for not wanting to store it forever. If he leaves it TOO long maybe you can take possession of it for rental fees. Hahahaha. Is it a sedan deVille or a coupe??
I want to hear that baby run! Nice old bus!
Very stylish bus, nice cranking sound to go with it
That Cadillac at 0:04 😍😍😍
ALWAYS the best way to acquire something so amazing.

Maybe a bad sending unit, or needs a vented gas cap
Hi what's that silver car inbetween the bus and the pickup? I'm from the UK so my knowledge of American cars is crap.

That's a scarying hell of a bus...
@feedingfrenzy123 That's a Chevy Monte Carlo, looks like 1983-1988 model.
What about that 1970 or Cadillac back in the background? Does it run?? Sure would be good to see that one fired up.
Just watched the other video..... That IS a cool old Caddy..... Did you figure out why it wasn't cranking at first??
Why does it make a knocking sound?
Does diesel fuel go bad after sitting for some period of time the same as gasoline?

Maybe your friend would do a start up on it or maybe he'd be glad you cranked it up.....After all, it's not good to let a car sit tooooo long... :-))
What kind of motor did that bus have?
427 Elevating Productions Probaly Detroit, and it would have a 4-speed non-syncro manual.
how the hell did you get a bus in the first place?
