It's always hard to get the brain working again at this time of year. I spent half an hour this week arguing with a junior colleague whose work I was reviewing, before realising that I was reading things backward and he'd already done exactly what I was trying to convince him to do. No wonder he was struggling to understand my argument...
Love the the way the city is growing. Maybe put a walking path behind the elementary school under road to connect both sides.

I think a pedestrian path from the foot of the pedestrian bridge over the railway underneath the road to the back of the school would be a nice addition, so the pupils could walk to school without even touching roads.
All those cranes made me feel at home. You can never look anywhere here without seeing a crane. Hell, a guy across the street had one to build his two story house. 2 floors!
I think that you stayed a little short on the buses. That line should've probably gone to the medium density Cul-de-sac via the train station rather than the bus station
On one side the neighborhood should be "River's Edge" and the other side could be "Creak Side"
I just had a biffathon of Kettle Bridge.what a nice little city comin down there. When will we be detailing things and building a nice prison? Can't wait.
Leafing is such a charming town! I do like it. I wondered if you can connect two call-de-sacks with a road under the railway bridge. People could go one or another way.
Speaking of leafs, they burn nicely, so it'd have been a shame if you didn't add a fire station there :P (you didn't add it in the video)
Hey Biffa! Quick thought, in the new Name Me area, behind the new elementary school, you should put a pedestrian path underneath the road way that slopes up to the key way walking path you put in.

I like that you added a cemetery at the end. The model, especially with the mausoleum upgrade, looks beautiful.
I always just use the quay wall option to kill zoning where I don't want it, since you can put it just on one side. Works fine. Only oddball thing it does is it looks weird when you connect paths to it but hey.
I love those European style row houses you put in by the park, especially with that slight slope in the garden, that makes it quite realistic, especially the houses that have that deck with the seating area at the end. It looks way more natural for the houses that have that hilly bit at the end of the garden, because in real life you'd need to install a deck or some sort of plateau garden to be able to get use out of it (unless you live in a wine region where you may actually would like a hill at the end of your garden).

from what i've seen, public transport stations are almost always very close to an intersection, not in the middle of a street.

I got to visit China in 2011 during their building boom. your Anarchy looked a lot like their skyline at that time (Especially in Central China). Ridiculous amounts of cranes.
I seriously can’t wait for this game to come to consoles. I get the complaints people are having with CS2 but there’s so many things I want to try.
Deuclidia can be translated to "Dual keys" or "Two keys" - whatever that means. I think it is a made-up variation to Euclidia (which by chance is a genus of brownish, not very colorful butterflies).

Hey Biffa, Just looking at your row houses at 11:43 mins in.. That street could do with some nice powerlines down it and just add a bit more to the street.. If you select the small power lines and drag down the road, it will add them to it and give that bit more of a look..
I'm slightly worried about this side of the river, there's no fire brigade.
And that walking path behind the end of the train station, well it can stay for now, but just a reminder Biffa, you thought about continuing that train line.

Hey Biffa, if you want to run a road parallel to an existing road use the parallel road tool and use the offset and draw down the existing road
Im curious for your opinion on this, commented it on an Xisuma video and he seemed enthusiatic about it.
I think this game needs a feature (or mod) that's a kind of "blueprint mode". So the idea would be it woud give you an overlay of the city and you can draw on it with ideas plans etc.
I'm still playing cs1 on my xbox and i often use districts to plan different areas e.g "airport here" "forest industry here" "temp xyz" and so on.
It could have filters to show resources, districts, roads etc.
City Planner Plays has been lobbying for this for ages.
I used Skylines Country to get a view of the map including natural resources and terrain height and would draw over it in Canva, marking out district areas, transport hubs, and new highway and train connections. I found it so helpful to plan out my cities before building them!
@@Zoe_C95 exactly. It's why I'm surprised it's not in the base game yet. I imagine it could be quite useful for content creators to explain their plans too

Can you rotate the trees you lay down with the Line Tool? I think they would look much more realistic if rotated. Love the city - even with the wacky traffic direction. :)

That pedestrian bridge is crazy high!
Would it be beneficial to change the order (and side of the road) for the bus stops around the High School? The ones you have seem perfect for right hand traffic, but might cause issues with the one you have here. (I could be COMPLETELY wrong about this)

WHOLLY FREAKING GOODNESS!!! I spent so long on trying to get the zoning figured out on my city last night and it drove me nuts! So glad to see and mod that is trying to sort this out. ADDED!!

The mod he's using seems.. a work in progress. You can also achieve similar results by using the road tools mod to add a quay wall on the side of the road you want to remove zoning from. It generally works better than messing with paths to change zoning. It also doesn't accidentally change the road type as happened to Biffa a few times in the video
This one was nice. However, I think the incineration plant is still disconnected from the high-voltage grid.

The new area could be called Teamouth as the river meets the sea next to the town and the river could be called the River Tea
Looks absolutely lovely. Such a pleasure to look at it. But i'm still here with one-way roads in and out of district. When it's time for skyscapes, please make streets one-way from collector to collector. Let traffic be a rope. Only slide exits, no crossing. At least no right turns. Just u turns on a left side. They will handle it just fine

That part with the train tracks dug into the hill needs to be a tunnel instead. Tunnels are cool.
Biffa, just a little tweak you could do, the last couple of episodes (basically the ones that came out after the New Year) you haven't numbered or even named the Kettlebridge episodes.
They're in the playlist, but I find it just much easier when it's numbered. (I had been sick recently and tried to get caught up with the episodes so no numbering made it difficult.)
Unfortunately numbering episodes isn't a good idea on YT. I tried with a few and I was right. But they are all in the playlist and Kettlebridge is the only CSL2 city I have 😉
@@BiffaPlaysCitiesSkylines ah ok. Well, I'm finally caught up now, but I have to say, if the cranes and the power plant episodes hadn't been in the playlist I'd have not thought they were Kettlebridge content by the thumbnails.
But now that I'm caught up to regular schedule I'll probably be able to tell them apart. (I always prioritise to watch the current city build episodes, that's why.)

You should build an area that consists just of high density stuff and like the biggest services and for the rich like dubai downtown. And name it downtown biffington. It should look amazing. With like bigger roads and stuff. That's an idea.
Or name it downtown kettlebridge
And it should be on a separate island a little far from the center
It might look good at the end of the bridge with one way four lane roads both sides.

Great stuff Biffa. One thing you may want to change in your settings for the line tool is clicking on the dice icon when planting trees: it gives them a wee twiddle with each tree so that they aren't identically rotated. I think you're using Yenyang's Tree Controller too so in the same line tool you can add different ages of tree (probably don't want sapling or dead but the other three make for a nice mix).
Very nice campus area too... just needs a footie pitch to add to it, since its Kettlebridge.

I have ordered a gaming PC for the express purpose of playing this game. I played cs1 on ps4 and loved it. I've also been play cs1 on switch while I travel but between biffa and cpp I can't wait anymore to play cs2

Great video man. Btw those trees on the roadside look weird without grass because they don't even have small dirt patches under them to make sense.
I like them. Adds a bit of variation. Almost like this isn't a grass area and more pavement type look. Usually use it more at commercial areas, and the grass on the suburbs. I just imagine they have a small hole where they go in.

the Tornado 'physics' needs to be reworked for sure. As someone who lives in a tornado-prone area, I can assure you they don't 'spawn' on a blue-sky day.

I think the highway should go over the train track and further sink the train track under. I just think it would feel more natural.

Can't believe how gruesome this game can be. I saw a dead body from a massive traffic accident. You can hover over the body and it says "deceased." Also you gotta raise the Grand Bridge! A suspension bridge really should be much higher and this partiular one would look much better. Need at least 30M for boats which I hope to see. Great new development!

I think you could easily improve connectivity around the elementary school. You could either connect the road under the bridge to the other side of the rail road or with a small bridge to the other side of the river
Also I think there should be a path connection behind the elementary school to the sports courts and the walking bridge. It would fit nicely unde the bridge also.

Perhaps you could rename it to Leafing Town? Sounds more 'complete' and may be a bit of a nod to the likes of Kentish Town, Camden Town etc :D
Laurel and Cozy street should be connected under the train station, so people don't have to go on the main highway to get to the clinic or school
