Well now, this head option really makes the pancake kit sound great! And you do a great job of playing brushes on the smaller than 14 snare! I don't like this kit with the more rock-intended heads, but this setup is wonderful. I'd be curious to hear coated Ambassadors because on a normal kit I prefer their clarity to Fiberskyns. edit: I found the video with the Ambassadors. Excellent.

These are the best heads for this kit i have heard. I have had my tama club jam pancake for around 2 years and use powerstroke fiberskin on bass reso, coated emperors on toms, and coated ambassador on snare. Could not stand the stock tom heads , they rang and rang. The powerstroke sounded like paper when I tried it as bass batter. Tried EMAD and did not fit either bass hoop. Next heads will be fiberskins all around. Just hope i can tune them as well as you did. Thanks for posting these videos with the different heads.

Are those heads " vintage coated " emporers and Ambassador.
Is the fiberskin head much different than the vintage coated?
      Shell material?

Thanks for great videos!! Sounds amazing! Thinking of buying to my home-recording studio. What genre do you think these drums could be use for? Rnb/Soul, Pop?

Thanks bro! 🙏 Small venues and also when you not want to carry a lot of weight;). I think they are ok to a lot of genres. Of course not to metal and more heavy stuff.

Nice grooves. Were they recorded with a room mic, because they sound amazing.

No room mic, just some reverb.
