    Always love your playing, really nice feel! Heads sound nice and dry.

    also wanted to ask you - did your bass drum hoops came a little bit oversized? for my kit, stock bass drum heads feel small in hoops, and no matter how i tune them, after some playing, on the batter side there is one lug that will detune due to head ring almost poping from the hoop

      No, my hoops are fine. You should talk to your store where you bought them or maybe contact Tama distributor and adress the problem you have.

      @@westerlu77 can i please kindly ask you to take a look at video i recorded with hoops issue? tama refuses to replace the obviously defected hoops, claiming that this is normal

      can i please ask you to take a look at my video about the hoop isssue? my tama dealer is telling me that the viggle between bass drum head and hoop is ok, which is nonsence. i just want to doublecheck that your drum is different ua-cam.com/video/qoX07i4z5Js/v-deo.html

    thats quite a low end you managed to get on that floor tom! can you explain what type of muffling device you used for the bass drum? you muffle only the reso side? no kick patch? and what would be your favourite bass drum head for this pancake?

      @@alexeykostyuchenko6848 Thanks! I was really happy with my floor tom sound this time. I used just one moongel (a little bigger size on my floor tom. No muffling inside the bass drum but a damper from Stagg on reso side where I have put some velcro instead and I have possibility to change amount of dampening with different amount of felt pieces .No kick patch and I often tend to come back to power stroke clear or white heads with no patch. It always sound fat and natural to me. Thanks for listening! Feel free if you have more questions.

      @@westerlu77 thanks for the reply! im loving my kit and deciding between pinstripes, emperor black suedes and emperor colortone, all sound awesome, hard to choose) as for bass drum, i think ps3 is still the best. Do you use stock wires on the snare?

    • @westerlu77
      @westerlu77  Місяць тому +1

      @@alexeykostyuchenko6848 I use Puresound wires on all my videos on Tama pancake drums on UA-cam. I forgot to say that it all depends what kind of sound you want to achieve. On my jazz tuning video I use ambassador on bass drum and that works very well I think. A little bit of a more open sound fits great to that style.
