Not everyone is as rich as they are. And being brave and showing your voice off to people is what matters.
The guy with the guitar was brilliant and I love that song! And the last guy was Sooo good too!
I agree with you that some timing techniques were improvised, but not all improvisation is pleasant to the listener if done incorrectly or overused.
You clearly haven't listened to Joey's new song or Ingrid and Luke's version of 'Somebody That I Used To Know' because then you would realise that every single one of the judges has amazing voices.
People complaining on Luke's judging: Remember part of the prize is a collaboration with Luke. He's truly looking into full technicalities because he is an artist & he has to collab with the winner so they have to be sing with good technique.

The point of this series is the VOICE. And helping these singers progress. So the equipment really shouldn't matter. Sometimes the judges forget that they said they would only judge based on the singing voices. There is so much talent on UA-cam!

They got over 800 entries, so they are obviously not going to show them judging all of them. They are just showing the ones that they said "yes" to, and the ones that stood out.

THANK YOU to everyone supporting me, the "Call Me Maybe Girl" as most of you have put it haha. And I think it's sort of exciting to see that the two top comments are contradicting each other, I'm excited to prove to you I can sing, and not just talk sing like Ke$ha haha, it probably wasn't the best choice to showcase my voice but it got me this far...further than I thought I'd get! Thank you everyone again, I never thought I would bring such an outstanding response...good or bad. :)

This second girl represents something that on my mind is "the hipsters way of making music"- if you can't really sing, just creak and squeak, for full effect put your nerdy glasses, wear some baggy sweater, grow a beard and you good to go! She definitely perfectly mastered the first part, but she may have some problems with the beard though.
This is not just about the best voices, the truth is that they are very popular on youtube and they could help others rise and get as much, if not more recognition than them :D They all have grown up with music, and you don't need to be a great singer to judge them. And after all, it's not just the best voice it's the most unique and 'sell-able' voice !
Jessie was good Eric was REALLY good and Danielle's friend was A-MAY-ZING!!
I find the call me maybe girl's voice really interesting. I actually had to go back and listen to it again. There is a really unique edge that I like...

I love this show so much, but I don't think you guys should focus on the mic they have at all. Look past that, because the two with the bad mics are the ones with the greatest voices so far in my opinion. Can't wait for the next episode!
