More Symbaroum lore - love it. Free League has the best current original settings in the TTRPG industry, full stop. Coriolis? Forbidden Lands? And then Symbaroum? No wonder they get deals with AAA-level intellectual properties like Alien, One Ring and Blade Runner.
i got into Symbaroum some months ago. in my opinion they did a wonderful job, but another comment i saw in a Symbaroum video expressed my thoughts exactly : DnD is Hero Fantasy, Symbaroum is Epic.
Interesting to see more Symbaroum! I have watched this video 4 or 5 times by now and it always invokes a spark that regular lore does not. I actually have a really hard time to get inspired for Symbaroum, and understanding its lore and trying to understand it's depths that isn't spelled out is often making it harder for me. Always a pleasure Sebbaa!
I found your channel through the Symbaroum videos you upload. After taking a look at your channel and the way you present things you earned my sub and my support. Thanks for the work you put in!
Background music, although tasteful in itself, is a bit too loud to my taste, it takes the attention away from your lovely voice. I'd tune it slightly down. Otherwise a very well written commentary on the Symbaroum lore. More!
They do. But in typical Symbaroum fashion, they are different from Tolkien dwarves. Dwarves were created in ancient Symbar as a servant race. Since then, they have thrown off their shackles and established a mountain kingdom in the Ravens. The dwarves you meet in Ambria, however, are members of the ousted royal family and their retainers, who have fled after a revolution, and now life as a powerful crime-family.
@@Sebbaasdungeon from what I have read this really seems like the absolute best grimdark fantasy setting. It has a far more gritty down to earth feel to it than Warhammer
@@suggiethames9870 I had not considered Symbaroum grimmdark, but now that you mention it. You are completely right. It's dark, it's grim, and it is without the whimsical parts of Warhammer.

I really loved listening to this lore video. It was nice having it all put together like that.

Thanks for the comment.
Inspiring others is one of the best things a creative can do, and something I always aspire to.

Thx for this information, really strong culture design of the game designers!
I'm curious to get to know more about Revina and Donkey 😉
It's up to you m8. 😉

One fo the most creative, and perhaps accurate, description/lore about those creatures. Interestingly, the "Goblin Slayer" manga tells the same story.
Do dwarves exist in this setting?
