    Nausicca is my favorite anime, which is probably why I like Symbaroum so much.
    No one deserves murder hobos.

    Just recently discovered Symbaroum and started to read the game books. Thanks so much! This was the best video I have seen on the setting. Well done.

    very nice video. My only minor complaint is that the music seems overly loud - I think it would work better if the music was more subtle.

    Background music is too loud. Please quieter. You are great

    Great video, however at times the music and your voice are fighting over each other making it difficult to hear you, please look into either audio ducking or lowering the music by 6-12 db. Thanks.

    Another elegant display of wisdom, I really do find many similarities between Hegel and Symbaorum philosophy, nature would be the thesis, civilization the antithesis and war the synthesis, the whole economic issue can be analyzed even from a Marxist point of view. You have left me as always with a lot to think about. Thank u Sir,

    Outstanding insights, sir. I am edified.
    May I add that hearing you pronounce the names and vocabulary of Symbaroum is something like hearing Bible verses in Greek or Celtic songs sung in Gaelic. There is something gained that had been lost in translation. Thank you for that.

      Thank you. ☺
      I'm not Swedish or anything, though, I just try to make the names sound cool.

    I just found Symbaroum and was planning a little adventure on the edge of the Davokar. Your video has given me so much more insight and perspective, and I think it will immeasurably improve my little adventure. I spat my drink at murder hobos btw.

    Considering that the creator of Symbaroum himself uses the idea of Nausica as a elevator-pitch I would say there is ALOT more than just your feelings Sebbaa!
    Also it is really good to see these videos, even if I feel too much of a novice to fully grasp everything, it helps me to think on the campaign my players want to keep running.

      Mattias has also used Princess Mononoke to describe it as well... And the links were perfectly described in this video.

    How does one spell the terms you were using for the forces of 'nature', 'civilization' and their conflict?

    Great to see more Symbaroum lore videos. Please keep them up. I know you use AI art in your games, could you consider using such to illustrate the lore videos?

    • @Sebbaasdungeon
      @Sebbaasdungeon  Рік тому +3

      There is AI art in this video. Just not a lot. Martin Grip's Symbaroum artwork is just far superior to anything I can do with AI.

    You don't deserve Murder Hobos. I think the problem is that D&D rulesets have been encouraging it since they got away from gold = XP.
    Anyway, great video! I've been playing in a Symbaroum campaign for about 2 years now. We're using the original ruleset, rather than the 5e version, so I think we're away from that Murder Hobo mentality. Usually we try to avoid fights, especially against things from Davokar.

    • @Sebbaasdungeon
      @Sebbaasdungeon  Рік тому

      I had the worst murder hobos ever running the original ruleset.
      Might have been a problem with how the campaign turned out, but stealth or diplomacy was never an option for them.

      I'm assuming you mean the original rules for Symbaroum? Does that system allow for characters gaining power too fast?

    Davokar can be the last living area in this world if you like to have a more apocalyptic setting outside this area like the animes.
