The day Gears of War 2 launched was the same day my Dog Lilly gave birth to puppies, we kept one male and named him Marcus, Marcus just died last week. RIP Marcus German Shepherd.
Sorry for your loss man. I remember my dog Duke hanging out in my room with me while I played Ocarina of Time and listened to Kendrick Lamar. Dogs are the best, they truly do love us and enjoy just being in our presence
Gears of War with the Maria moment made me and a friend who is was co-op playing this game choke up, both said we need a break from playing a little pauze. We where not crying!!! Still one of the most hard hitting moments of my life while gaming.
I’m surprised you didn’t put Mirror’s Edge on here. The games visuals still hold up to this day and the parkour feels more fluid and satisfying, now that you can play it at 60 FPS
The way it works is absolute programming wizardry. It's like taking Macintosh software, throwing it into Google translate and then displaying it properly in Windows for every moment, and every controller input gets translated back to mac. The fact that it exists at all is so cool.
I'd totally buy copies of The Saboteur and Afro Samurai, I've been wanting to play both of those specifically for awhile now, but not enough to run out and take the chance on buying a used 360 that may not function properly.
@@LHC2112 the slim is pretty reliable. The shiny finish ones usually had no hard drive, and the matte finish ones usually had a 250Gb. The 3rd Gen 360 is... Annoying. They changed the cables and the power brick so it's extremely hard to find replacements if they ever pop.
Another wonderful array of backwards compatible 360 game! I love the "Gears" series in particular & I recently obtained "Skate 3" & am anxious to delve into it & the DLC for it!
My brother and I ran through the og trilogy after the E-Day announcement and it is still amazing. The Auto HDR and FPS boost on the Series X make them feel very up to date.
Honestly I don't think it really matters whether or not the games are well known. The fact that any games from the Xbox 360 we're made backwards compatible is amazing. All five of these games definitely deserve to be here. 😁👍. If I had a name some of my favorite games that were made backwards compatible it will be all of the F.E.A.R titles and Prey. I was stoked when I saw those were being backwards compatible back then. Hopefully you'll talk about those one day cuz they definitely deserve more attention.
Beautiful Katamari is a fun and relaxing game that I've played in the past 😊 Gears of War 2 [basically the Xbox 360 GOW Games] are the best and was ahead of its time, and it's still fun to play 😎 Other Backward Compatible Xbox 360 games you should check out: Splinter Cell Conviction Saints Row 2 50 Cent BOTS Spec Ops the Line Bayonetta
Burnout Revenge is a great game. I remember that I liked the original XBOX version a little bit more. It looked cleaner because of that missing bloom effect.
I remember trying to play co-op in Fable II with my cousin but it that tethering thing where we couldn't get too far away from each other and you couldn't bring your character into someone else's world it gave you like a generic character I think. Still a great game though. I loved Burnout Revenge and Gears 2.
The game I seem to be returning to the most on backwards compatibility is Alien Vs Predator. Doesn't have a thriving Multiplayer or anything, I just really like how well it performs on the Series X.
Binary domain (cover shooter) is another great 360 back compat title to check out. Orange box is an essential play too though it's not available digitally anymore though 😢
The 360 version of Burnout Revenge feels completely different from the OG Xbox version. I can't stand it, and I love the OG Xbox version. Crashes and takedowns happen so much quicker in the OG version, which makes more sense at the high speeds you are driving at.
It's a shame because I genuinely want to play the Gears titles but the amount of screen shake that occurs when you sprint is nauseating. Could handle it back in the day but for some reason my eyes can't handle it anymore.
The only one of the games I have played was Gears of War 2. It's fucking great game! Although, saying it is dour is not entirely accurate. It does have some moments of humor albeit mostly dry humor. It also ends on a relatively hopeful note.
I've had my xBox360 connected to the same TV that I have my xBox One X connected to, and some games, like Mass Effect, look better playing off the xBox360 than the downloaded images on the xBox One. (I can also connect the xBox360 to my XBox One X if I so choose to play through the xBox One X.) Unfortunately my xBox One no longer can play xBox360 games, it gets the "getting xBox 360 profile" problem, which has been a problem for many, for years, whether it be the One, One X, or the Series X. The reality is that I now have no xBox 360 backward compatibility. MSG may fix it, but it's too late, I'm moving on. It would have been better if the Series X had an actual hardware chip in it to directly play from the 360 disc instead of having to download xBox360 game images. Me, I've started getting PS game disc copies of my favorite xBox One games, like 2013 Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Mass Effect Legendary Edition, NieR Replicant, Dragon Quest XI, etc. The xBox One would not play the xBox 360 Tomb Raider games because there were XBox One versions. But it also wouldn't install XBox One Rare Replay xBox 360 games. Yeah, XBox Series X backwards compatibility sounds nice, but there are plenty of games not supported on the SX, so it's best to keep the xBox 360 around. After the xBox One "burned me," where discs were just CD License keys, I had no interest, nor have any interest in, upgrading to the Series X. YMMV. One burned, twice shy.
Just want to Mention, that u can play all of these on the Series S too! :) Also cool picks!! :) Also i wanna know what u think about the Original Forza Horizon today :)

Love the reviews on og Xbox or 360 games.
Just of curiosity, are you playing anything semi recent? (Last 10-12 years)
Right now I've been playing UFO 50 and Sea of Thieves!
Burnout Revenge is sick, my landlord and I used to play it all the time on the PS2

Gears of War 2 is the best in this list.
Well it´s no surprise since the Gears franchise, is my favorite XBOX franchise of all time.
Better then ps5 and ps4
What about ps6 or the pro?!?!
no
Awesome list. I like burnout revenge but my favorite is burnout 3 takedown. It’s unfortunate that 3 is stuck on the Xbox 360 ☹️
Paradise wasn't actually the next Burnout game after Revenge, it was Dominator. wasn't on XB360 though, and had a different developer

Same here. I have to disable all screen shakes and view bobs from games these days, otherwise I get nausea. It isn't fun getting old...
