I was looking at everyone's hand to see if there was an ace ring I didn't see one on the actual asexual until she pointed it out. Also I love that she educated people on being ace and that being ace doesn't mean that you don't have sex. It's difference for everyone but for me it's the same as hers 😊

I clocked her IMMEDIATELY. The relatively modest, comfortable clothing to me just screams asexual because I dress the same way
Being a girly lesbian can be really hard sometimes. I would say I am not as girly as her, but I do wear dresses and skirts pretty often so I also don't fit into the stereotype of what many people think a lesbian should look like. It kind of sucks, because women usually don't hit on me, because they think I'm straight and I am very shy. So dating is honestly very hard. But I totally agree, I would never change my style to fit in.
Not fitting into a label at all makes it hard too. I dress and act very plain, mostly jeans and shirts, and I have long hair instead of short. A lot of lesbians love the traditional fem+butch pairing, but I am not butch, so the fem girls I like tend to ignore me ):

Feels like all asexuals I see in media and hear about irl still have sex. Where’s the representation for asexuals who don’t have sex?
As an asexual who previously had sex with people and was insistent I was sex neutral, I feel really icky about those incidents looking back. I just wanted to please the other person and was glad someone wanted me.

Not trying to invalidate anyone and their experience, but this label specifically is the one I can’t wrap my head around, even though multiple people have explained to me that I’m probably demisexual myself.
I have trouble understanding why it is categorised as a sexuality, as opposed to a psychological sexual preference, since those who identify as demi obviously still have a primary sexual orientation, be it homo- or heterosexual, bi, pan or anything else. You can extend it to everyone one the spectrum except to those who are aromantic, and I’m pretty sure that this is one of the major things people struggle with when trying to comprehend asexuality in general.
@@emilyk1109 I’m hetero Demi and how I describe it is I have little to no sexual attraction until I meet someone that I connect with emotionally and mentally, and even then sex drive and attractions can be iffy at best. Basically everyone’s a grey blob except the person

As an asexual who is sex neutral, I love the girl in the white cardigan. I get told all the time "you can't be asexual if you have sex." Like. Not how that works. I don't feel sexual attraction but I'm not repulsed by the act. (Some people are but not all.)

Then white liberal students who weren't on the flag or didn't have to feel oppression wanted to be able to join the pity party of society. Hormones fluctuate throughout life, and that corresponds with sexual desires. That doesn't mean we need to create a special label for you in society.

Plenty of ace people "get off" just because it's a bodily function even if they have no attraction while "getting off". Ace people often see sex more as an obligation or a necessity than something they actually desire or want.
