Porcupine Tree - Live at the Garage 1996 (Full Show)

- Porcupine Tree in performance during their Spring 1996 tour.
Performance is complete save for the first section of Idiot Prayer and a tiny section missing during Radioactive Toy.
The Spring 1996 tour was a chance for PT to road-test new material such as then unreleased Idiot Prayer, Sever, Waiting (Phase One) and Signify
The tour also saw the band dust off two cuts from the little performed first album, On The Sunday of Life. Sound quality is beyond excellent for being an audience recording.

This is an absolute Gem!
Hi Jim, I like this too. Happy Holidays Brother. Shane
I like how the bassist's appearance didn't change much in the decades to follow.
Colin.

Early Porcupine Tree was the best.

Radioactive toy is just mesmerizing 🖤
This is so cool! Interesting to see them way before I discovered them.
Linton Samuel Dawson 😀👍👍👍
My first PT show was two days earlier.
Great quality, massive props to whoever filmed this. I bet a cam that could catch footage and audio like this in 1996 would have a) cost a fortune, and b) been hecking massive!.
The audio is most likely taken from the desk.
@@dinamho Definitely! And mixed - live stage audio requires a totally different mix than a recording which is to be played on a stereo.
Stationary camera suggests an audience member but that sound HAD to have come off the board the mix is too awesome... OK... The sound guys buddy and or girlfriend took the video and was able to snake the audio off the board?! (Scientific Wild Assed Guess)
I think maybe it's filmed by the band from the foh desk...?
Anyway, amazing footage, thanks for sharing!
Wow. This is my fabulous period of PT and watching it, not only listening as on Comadivine for example is a mystical experience 🙂. Thank you for sharing this masterpiece 👍
This truly captures their early brilliance and command of challenging time signitures.
In hi-def🤙
Wow
My favorite era of the band, saw them live back then 6 times in Athens...glorious nights

Porcupine Tree, MASTERPIECE!!!!💯💯💯💯💯
I spent years sanding my log home so I could re-stain and reseal. I don't knot how many times I listened to this album. Many. I had only recently discovered Porcupine Tree and then Riverside. Love them. And now Lunatic Soul. Thank you for posting this recording . It is quite good.Peace. A 63 year old Polish Grunk
Merci beaucoup pour ce magnifique concert.
I have never heard SW performing LSD live, thought it was forbidden :D This set list is what I always dreamt to see PT as live.
I don’t believe I ever saw them perform The Nostalgia Factory. Awesome!
WoW! Wow! Wow! Thanks for uploading. Especially relevant since PT IS BACK!
Absolute goosebumps… wow
Unlike many commenters here, this is not my favorite era of PT, but this is a great video! You can really see how much Wilson's live singing has improved since.
О да,его вокал сильно прогрессировал.это очень здорово
Starting with idiot prayer! Fantastic!!
One diamond at collectors library!!! A bit low in volume but sounds amazingly good!!!
I loved being able to actually see them play moonloop!
Thanks for posting this. I'm a long time PT fan but I've never seen video from this period. Steven never fails to impress. Not to mention Richard and Colin.
Since then they had a magnifiscent performances...
Pretty shocking for a VCR tape to have this kind of quality, thank you so much for sharing! It's a real pleasure to see the band at a time when they were very much unknown outside the more underground circles, still brilliant, of course.
Pretty much unknown outside of the UK and just barely known inside of the UK, I was fortunate enough to be a big fan of a few bands that they were the support band for which is where I discovered them.
Thank you so much for sharing. I love this era of Porcupine Tree.
Fantastic, cheers!!
I’m new to PT…..while I’m listening, at first take, sounds like an amalgamation of Pink Floyd and Yes…..and to me, that’s a very good thing….
Thanks for uploading this gem :)
Dream set list!
Unbelievable!
I like this shortened live version of Always Never, it starts in the best moment.
Fantastic! Best PT era IMHO. Hope this would be available on DVD one day ...

I saw them in Northampton I think in 1996, purely because of R B and been hooked eversince, I wasn't sure I would see them live again!
Voyage 34 live is soo rare
I was at this gig,so glad to find this......great performance!!!!
I'd love to listen to Idiot Prayer live once in my life. It was my favourite and most played PT track for a few years. Highly unlikely I'll ever get to though. Thanks for uploading this. :)

This was my PT, i saw them before this when TSMS came out, at Windsor... What an amazing performance and reminder of happy times.
