I still could not fathom the fact that this band is no more. I believe that the songs from PT are remedy to most of psychological issues people are facing in today's era. I wish that they be back and bring back these beautiful memories of infinite bliss.
Porcupine Tree died after Lightbulb Sun imo. Their newer stuff just pales in comparison to this. I just saw them in Montreal a few days ago, and although I enjoy the new stuff, it's just not the same without Colin and Chris. It's a different, still very good band, that just happens to have the same name.
My first ever encounter with the porcupine tree has happed in train, and was exactly this album, 10 years ago and i realize that we aren't the only creature in this nature.
It's pretty annoying how there are so many different versions of this song, there is the original one, the short US one, the improvisation, the coda, the EP version, the full 40 minute improvisation and the live version.
just outstanding! It was my first meeting with PT. And the best.
Check out the 40 minute version of this song, with headphones on if possible. You will come out of the trance feeling great.
