@T. L. I served with him in the 185 MICO which is part of the 25th Inf Div at Schofield Barracks. We deployed in December 2007 during The Surge in Iraq and returned in February 2009. We were tasked out to the Infantry Battalions to do HUMINT work because we were both 35M. Man you should really be careful assuming people are lying. Maybe ask questions before you assume? I'm just glad I give this person a new identity, a new family and help them through some of thier issues (person lives with us). I took a human trafficking course in college. It was a course that took a huge toll on me emotionally and psychologically, sometimes our professor would tell us facts and share info that left the class speechless, and no one would even want to talk for the rest of class. I could only imagine what people who moderate Facebook content or see these things often have to deal with. It does something to your soul man… knowing humans can be so evil.

Through this process the one thing I've learned is we definitely need to shine a light on this, it's a huge problem even here in the United States. The woman who's story I'm telling was trafficked as a teenager right here in a small town in Maine, and she was one of many unfortunately. The blinders people have are so tight that even getting funding for this film is a challenge. Keep up the great work and a huge thanks to Glenn for sharing his story.

My grandfather was also a pow during ww2. He was captured by the Japanese on Java Island and was held for 1085 days. He worked on the burma railroad and spent most of his imprisonment in Thailand at TAI camp. He was the toughest and kindest man I've ever known. Legend has it that they called him mud, and his captures actually had a lot of respect for his unwavering ability to be defiant during the worst they could throw at him. He went through the worst that hell had to offer and came out the other side with a heart of gold. Men like him are a rarity these days.

The first time I ever heard about this topic was in middle school when the principal of the school got arrested for this. Since then I pretty much blocked it out and I spend most of my time at work or playing videogames. I am very thankful people go after these criminals.

I have a Sociology degree and a huge driving factor in deciding to pursue this was my desire to help these people. I didn't realize the gap that lay between learning about it and obtaining the skills to do something about it. When I started looking at jobs it was occupations far outside the field of sociology - like law, IT, medicine, etc that were needed. It would be a great idea if we could be honest about this with the students who are following in my footsteps.
I’m a northern neighbour, this was my first introduction to your channel and it hit’s home hard. I worked in an Internet child exploitation unit for 7.5 years. I’ve never heard of the Sentinel Foundation but I know Glens work is important, imperative and the difference it makes to that one child you save is second to noneI! I admire his drive and passion, this work is rewarding on another level and this community is full of amazing people. I’ve been blessed to work with some amazing individuals from US Marshals to HSI and FBI Special Agents and met up with some folks from an NGO called the International Justice Mission while in the Philippines! At the end of the day, I know exactly what continuous exposure to CSAM on a daily basis does to us and how management often see us as disposable tools. Stay strong brother!

So many people doing the Lord's work aren't always special operators. Support your local Child Advocacy Centers everyone. They need funding all the time. Or even donations. In my opinion, the lives of children are far more valuable than drugs. Legislation should be considered to seize any and all assets if you are ever caught with CSAM along with permanent incarceration.
Asset forfeiture is an excellent idea! Along with life in prison for online sexual abuse of minors & solicitation and death penalty for anyone who has raped or molested a child. There also needs to be enormous fines for all platforms allowing CSAM. Fines so big they will be bankrupted. A multi-pronged approach is the only way to stop this. I wouldn’t mind if we took some pages out of the Saudi’s playbook with the removal of hands & public executions.

While working for DOJ years ago had a class from CAST in LA. Nobody was doing human trafficking cases then, all the girls were runaways and that's the way LE treated all the cases. This is hard work and I try to help with organizations in my area but unless you're a cop they don't want your help.
This is so fucking heartbreaking. I have worked in juvenile probation and at a women's crisis house and many other places in corrections and the military. What the children have been through and the stories I've heard are disturbing. We have so many broken systems that are failing our children every day. And so many people have no idea how bad things are, especially how bad people are, right under our noses in the US. My wife and are in the middle of adult adoption of a young person (20yrs) who was trafficked since the were 9 years old. I have heard 1/100 of the whole story and I puked.
I'm just glad I give this person a new identity, a new family and help them through some of thier issues (person lives with us).

I took a human trafficking course in college. It was a course that took a huge toll on me emotionally and psychologically, sometimes our professor would tell us facts and share info that left the class speechless, and no one would even want to talk for the rest of class. Thanks for this interview Andy. I've started pre-production on a documentary of a child sex trafficking survivor. Through this process the one thing I've learned is we definitely need to shine a light on this, it's a huge problem even here in the United States. The woman who's story I'm telling was trafficked as a teenager right here in a small town in Maine, and she was one of many unfortunately. The blinders people have are so tight that even getting funding for this film is a challenge. Keep up the great work and a huge thanks to Glenn for sharing his story.
Glad that he really drove home the fact that it's almost always a person a parent trusts. I see so many facebook posts of people warning about kids getting randomly snatched by a stranger. Far more likely to be a pastor, a coach, a family member, etc.

A Japanese documentary taught me children move about freely because all adults protect them. It is known children are the future and to be protected can cared for.
This has been a very eye opening interview. I shall inform more people about it. Flat out going to say that that people who hurt children in such heinous ways should not be allowed to live in society. They are the ones who belong in cages and much worse.

Got to say Glenn is a man. At about the 52:00 minute mark Stumpf asks him about his faith in humanity - is the glass half empty or half full. Even after seeing the shit humans do to each other he is a half full glass guy. Getting jaded and despising humanity would be so easy but to reject despair and pursue hope speaks to his values, what he holds to be good and true. The world would be better if more people were like Glenn. Thank you sir for cleaning our gutters.

Here in Australia if you blow the whistle you get harassed, home invasions, tailed and tagged, and in my case bashed up and shot at. Then, "This isn't happening, you are mentally ill." Bring your guitars, fiddles and banjos etc and go to some bush folk festivals, where even the parents are controlled. God knows, they need cleaning out! Police and Mental Health all involved in cover-ups.

My grandfather was also a pow during ww2. He was captured by the Japanese on Java Island and was held for 1085 days. He worked on the burma railroad and spent most of his imprisonment in Thailand at TAI camp. He was the toughest and kindest man I've ever known. Legend has it that they called him mud, and his captures actually had a lot of respect for his unwavering ability to be defiant during the worst they could throw at him. He went through the worst that hell had to offer and came out the other side with a heart of gold. Men like him are a rarity these days.
Fantastic interview. Sex trafficking is terrible and growing. I've assisted with church and several programs to help. I personally was molested for 3 years of my young life and done my best with awareness, financial, and physical training for these people to help stop the madness! 🙏☝️

The first time I ever heard about this topic was in middle school when the principal of the school got arrested for this. Since then I pretty much blocked it out and I spend most of my time at work or playing videogames. I am very thankful people go after these criminals.

I have a Sociology degree and a huge driving factor in deciding to pursue this was my desire to help these people. I didn't realize the gap that lay between learning about it and obtaining the skills to do something about it. When I started looking at jobs it was occupations far outside the field of sociology - like law, IT, medicine, etc that were needed. It would be a great idea if we could be honest about this with the students who are following in my footsteps.

I’m a northern neighbour, this was my first introduction to your channel and it hit’s home hard. I worked in an Internet child exploitation unit for 7.5 years. I’ve never heard of the Sentinel Foundation but I know Glens work is important, imperative and the difference it makes to that one child you save is second to noneI! I admire his drive and passion, this work is rewarding on another level and this community is full of amazing people. I’ve been blessed to work with some amazing individuals from US Marshals to HSI and FBI Special Agents and met up with some folks from an NGO called the International Justice Mission while in the Philippines! At the end of the day, I know exactly what continuous exposure to CSAM on a daily basis does to us and how management often see us as disposable tools. Stay strong brother!

So many people doing the Lord's work aren't always special operators. Support your local Child Advocacy Centers everyone. They need funding all the time. Or even donations. And if you are having a hard time in our economy they can help

I worked under a gang initiative program (prevention, intervention sometimes re-entry) and we regularly had to attend yearly conventions on Hum-traf. 2011 was the last of the conventions. They just stopped and along with them…the conversations and awareness. Sad. They just cut the funding to silence people.

In my opinion, the lives of children are far more valuable than drugs. Legislation should be considered to seize any and all assets if you are ever caught with CSAM along with permanent incarceration.
Asset forfeiture is an excellent idea! Along with life in prison for online sexual abuse of minors & solicitation and death penalty for anyone who has raped or molested a child. There also needs to be enormous fines for all platforms allowing CSAM. Fines so big they will be bankrupted. A multi-pronged approach is the only way to stop this.
I wouldn’t mind if we took some pages out of the Saudi’s playbook with the removal of hands & public executions.

While working for DOJ years ago had a class from CAST in LA. Nobody was doing human trafficking cases then, all the girls were runaways and that's the way LE treated all the cases. This is hard work and I try to help with organizations in my area but unless you're a cop they don't want your help.
This is so fucking heartbreaking. I have worked in juvenile probation and at a women's crisis house and many other places in corrections and the military. What the children have been through and the stories I've heard are disturbing. We have so many broken systems that are failing our children every day. And so many people have no idea how bad things are, especially how bad people are, right under our noses in the US. This is the fight we all need to be in, no matter your politics, ideology, we all need to be aware and take a stand. Thsnk you for going back ❤
