Just watched this most beautiful, emotionally filled, true love story of a movie again...this theme takes my breath away. If it was the very last piece of music ever to hear, that would be ok...❤🎼 Thank you for putting these most heartfelt scenes together...it's perfect.
I have viewed this unforettable film many times and always find myself weeping at the ending, The theme by Clint Eastwood alone brings a pang to my heart. Only one other film has this effect on me tho not as Bridges is Brief Encounter w/Trevor Howard. Bridges is a once in a lifetime film that will be with me forever.
And to think that Clint Eastwood is the author of this magnificent song only reinforces my conception that he is a legend of the seventh art.... No words to describe what I feel.
Clint in the rain, more emotion than all is movies together, the rain hiding his tears, and the despair, longing, and cruel reality, all come together in the longest 4 seconds, bringing tears to us all, they dont make them like this anymore
Thanks for putting this together, good Settani. The music & images reminds us of the enduring power of love in the sum of our years and yet -- -- just how _fragile the human heart is_ ... D.A.
I have to say that I prefer the book, although I love the movie. Francesca is much more indipendent and reckless in the book. She wears jeans and hoop earrings, and also she has her hair down. She's more free and laidback, whereas in the movie she's portrayed as a provincial, kind of desperate constrained wife who never unties her hair or wears trousers. Eastwood only allows Francesca to wear jeans and have her hair down when with Robert, but in the book she's much more of a hippie like Robert. And the book is written very well, it's very deep, one of my favourites.
Un filme majestuoso, extraordinario, que convence al espectador de la capacidad única y sin igual del verdadero amor. Podré verlo muchas veces, y para mí siempre será como disfrutarlo por primera vez y conocer el significado de amar por siempre.
OK as much as I love this score, and it is an exceptional score ,I still struggle with the fact that this is not so much a love story ,but a story of lust, anadultery, and fornication, let's not forget, This woman met a man, and what they within a 4 day time span he was allowed the same access to her that her husband was allowed, let's not forget this man had sex in another man's house, with his wife!!!!! while the husband was away With he and his wife's kids, I think we let our heart strings get pulled on ,and we call it love ,but there is no way that they could truly know each other within 4 days, also think about this she was actually thinking Of leaving the family that she had built with her husband,-to-be with a man that she really didn't know, on a deep level ,what they had was an 4 day infatuation, because both of them were probably vulnerable people at that particular time ,but it wasn't love all !!!!!!!! that being said the music is beautiful.
Never judge other people and what they feel inside, things like this may happen to anyone, including yourself. And honestly, a 4 day love can be more deep and meaningful than a 50 years one.
@Prizzy999 No, that is the problem, It is called a lack of discipline. We are gonna stop giving people passes on fortnication and adultery, Pre marital sex, Out of wedlock children. That's what's wrong with society. Today and the sad part is people want to keep perpetuating this foolishness
"Fornication" ... that's the thing with being on a "religious" high horse ... lack of compassion for humanity. You don't believe in love at first sight. But it does happen. To the lucky ones among us. You condemn her, but she actually gave up her own happiness for the sake of her family. She loved her husband but was never in love with him. She married him to escape the ravages of WW II. For four days of true happiness, when she truly lived just for herself, she lived the rest of her life - 25-30 years - of loneliness and longing while taking care of other people's needs. And at the end, she wanted to be buried with the love of her life. That's not what you call "lust". When is love real? How long before it's valid? Some people live together for years and don't know each other. Some don't even love, or have stopped loving each other through the years. If you want to assert only time can prove true love, then Francesca did just that. She carried Robert and the four days they had in her heart until her last breath. Yet she stayed to care for Richard and to raise her kids.
You have a point, but she didnt search for this,it happend by accident, and unless one has been in such a situation, one should be slow to judge,it can happen in a split second ro anyone, but the power of the movies lies in the fact, that she stayed denying herself but for the good of others
I'm intrigued why you watched it in the first place. Observe the buttons on your remote control. You'll be amazed what they can do....change channels, on/off etc. 😂
My favorite movie. I related to it so very much. Thank you. 💕
The last moment they see each other in the rain is so magical that I cry and cry and cry. This kind of certainty only comes once in a lifetime!
Agree 100%...😢

素敵な一日になります様に💛
Es para mi la mejor y única ❤
Long time has pasesed since i read the book and saw the movie i understand the plot now they where twin flames
Watched this film many times and still love it.Why oh Why didn’t she go with him
Because if she had , she would end up regretting it for leaving her 2 kids and a husband that needed her.
Big sacrifice
If she left with him,the regret and longing for her children and the guilt of betraying her husband would have been torment to her conscience.

Film per eccellenza sull' amore maturo.
Watching this after 25 years of marriage has a completely different feeling.

In reality this 65 -year-old man would have had a pot belly and he would have been bald.
She cheated on her husband and we're expected to feel pity for her adultery. The entire movie makes me want to vomit.
It's a movie get over it
