22 year-old community college student, Jasmine Pace, had plans to spend Thanksgiving 2022 with her family. To her mother’s surprise she sent a text message last minute cancelling those plans. On Jasmine’s Facebook account there was a new post. It read: “Enjoying Thanksgiving with my baby.”
Except the photo accompanying the post was not from Thanksgiving. In this photo, Jasmine’s distinctive tattoos were missing. The photo must have been taken months before.
Concern turned to panic as her family realized the implication: No one knew where Jasmine was and someone was online ... pretending to be her.

And that still made us feel sad and a little guilty for not even knowing she was pssed away. Just there all by herself. I had a friend go missing after my birthday party. She was my best friend and she was leaving with a guy there, he was my cousin’s roommate but I didn’t know him. She didn’t go home that night and her mom hadn’t heard from her so she called the cops to report her missing. I feel like they didn’t do much since she wasn’t missing for 24 hours yet. I was freaking out, I cried, I felt guilty and so scared something happen to her. She ended up going back home after 2 days!!! She decided to “disappear for a few days to see if anyone would care”. I was so hurt how could she even fathom an idea like that?? I ended stepping away from that friendship cause her choices were questionable. But some people do make choices that are out of character. I’m glad she’s still with us but I think cases like her definitely take away from the cops caring too much about an adult not returning home right away.

@kaverirozoseua3459 That's cruel to say. She's devastated and shocked by his behaviour. No one says, yeah, I knew he would do something like that. She, as his mother, KNEW him as her son, not as a monster. Please use logic and reason for the human condition.

A very strong reminder to NOT behave like the Neighbour! Makes me really wonder what her explanation was to not call 911?
And to the Mother of "the very good person" Jason - her begging for mercy comes across as a very bizarre grimassing without any tears. Pathetic. At the very least, she could have (and should have) express some words of guilt and shame to the loved ones of the victim.
Another senseless crime. Another bright and kind woman robbed from us.

I'm pretty sure he was subpoenaed. Especially how he answered the questions and gave the defense attorney attitude. He never implicated his ex-wife. "We remember things differently." He said he doesn't have an opinion when asked and the attorney said, "You don't have an opinion?" in a really snarky manner. I'm betting he was pissed he couldn't get the answers he thought he would. Yea, don't force parents to be witnesses for the defense/people who killed their children.

With dating apps the creeps can pretend to want to get to no you first, instead of approaching you on the street. Usually I'm not totally opposed to parole, but this guy has such a malevolent, entitled mindset I'm glad he was setenced to life without parole.

From the sounds of the police response I can understand why the neighbor didn't call them. Some law enforcement is not about actual truth seeking but bullying and power. In a lot of cases the people that call are the ones harassed, it's happened to me and it's unbelievable. Just a thought. I still call though if I think it's serious. Why do some grown little boys do this? Sick violent predators need to never be out in society.
