Model T Cold Start

The thermometer says 30º, but it's really a few degrees colder. This start takes four chokes and five pulls. The start with cold oil requires one wheel off the ground and the parking brake off. But the point of this exercise is to show how fast you need to "spin" a T to start it. Note how"fast" I pull the crank.

It is good to see someone who knows how to properly grasp the starter crank on a Model T. I have heard too many stories of people being injured while trying to start one.

Nice to see this video. Steve is out of the hospital from his crash three months ago .. but the car in this video is a total wreck. Thank God he is on the mend.
