Nice car sir. Instead of doing a qiuck runner to adjusted the trottle , play with the chokewire. That's how i do it with our 1915 touring. She has her 106st birthday this month Kind regards Blacksmith Filip Ponseele-Belgium

I joke that I have a Model T. I have a crank handle and an Ah-ooga horn. I guess I'll have to get a few more parts.

Hello Great video, do you have any starting advice for Model T when the coil does not spark? We are trying to get our started for the 4 th of July parade.
    Thanks

It could be any number of things depending on if it is a car with electric starter or not. If no starter you need to ensure the mag is working correctly or you have good batteries hooked up to the battery side of the key switch. If it is a starter car you need to make sure you have power going to the coils when starting. If no power going to coils you need to trace back from the coil box pin where the power goes in back to the ignition switch and battery. If you have power there but no sparking happening you could have an issue with the timer on the front of the engine.

      @@MiloFarms Hi,
Thanks for the tips! There is no electric starter just the hand crank. By 'starter car" I assume you mean being built/rebuilt? This is a already built model that has just not been running for about 10 years. I will pass your other tips on to my husband. Again thanks so much.

@@michellemeschi926 by starter car I mean a year 1919 or later with an electric starter. With no electric starter trying to start a car that has been sitting for 10 years you would be well to install the batteries with a fuse to the battery post on the firewall. It is very tough to determine if you do or do not have spark on magneto when hand cranking. If the car ran when parked and nothing has happened to it in the interim the timer should also be checked and cleaned.

@@MiloFarms This is a 1915. We have purchased a fresh new battery. I am not sure about the fuse to the battery post on the firewall part (my husband is doing the actual work). He was looking for a battery 'vibration' when pressing the start, he has not attempted the hand crank yet since the battery coil (?) did not seem to have any spark/charge. I will mention the timer being checked too him.
I really appreciate your advice, I am a little out of my element as I am just trying to help him gain information and am not familiar with engine mechanics. Hopefully your advice can help him. Thanks!
