This was a wonderful video! Please don't feel bad about it in any way! You're generously sharing beautiful and interesting parts of your life and your country - it doesn't have to be "perfect", whatever that means anyway. It's honest and comes from the heart and that's all that matters!
Now I’m in a very complicated point of my life, but your videos help me to distract myself from depressive thoughts. Thank you for your efforts and beauty you share in the videos. Hope to visit Norway one day!!
...not as epic and beautiful as the first video...?! are you kidding Maria, it was so so beautiful and gorgeous! while watching I was thinking "this is actually the best video to promote Norway for the holidays. I now definitely want to make a tour through Norland!" Thank you so much for taking us through this beautiful and magical country 😍tusen takk!
I've notice how fixer can be a little journey alone. It's magical. Never lost your authenticity and spontaneously, those are virtues. Thanks for share a beautiful country with us!
Car camping in Northern Norway sounds like an absolute dream! 🚙🌲 Visiting Vega and exploring the region must have been incredible - the landscapes up there are just stunning. Thanks for sharing your adventure - it’s definitely inspiring me revisit Norway soon! Have a great day. Cheers, Simon - Tales From Abroad
Hello beautiful Maria, we absolutely love and enjoy being part of your life and travels ❤❤❤❤❤ Love and well wishes from Kenny & Michelle, Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸❤❤❤❤❤
Dear Maria I enjoyed watching your video as always. Thank you for all the beautiful vistas of your beautiful beautiful country. Would love to visit Norway, but i am old now 😊. Greetings from Switzerland. ❤
This is exactly what i did this summer. Drove about 8000km across norway, sweden and finland. Was great! Wish i had someone to do it with next time though.
What a beautiful country Norway is. There is just something about the North that seeps into one’s soul. Both episodes were thoroughly enjoyable. Takk skal du ha!
❤ I don't think you give yourself enough "credit" Maria when you say the video isn't epic or as epic as the last one. This one is again so beautiful, and meaningful too. You share your thoughts , share the gorgeous nature you are in, and that is epic in its own right . Trust me, 😊 I know about the perfectionist inside complaining that it isn't well enough but please tell it to keep quiet for a while, and please keep filming and sharing your videos, just like this one.
Thank you for these kind words Maureen ❤️I felt a relief reading this. Will try my best to not let the perfectionist get the better of me. Sending you love!
This was a wonderful video! The authenticity of what you were experiencing came through and that’s what always makes it interesting. Also, meeting some of your family, so nice that you got to visit them! Thanks for sharing your journey with us:)
Aww Maria, this was so beautiful! I felt so much heart and soul in this one - it was so interesting as a fellow UA-cam creator to hear what you said at the end. A testament to how, when we get an idea in our head as artists about what is "good", not only can we be so hard on ourselves, but we lose sight of the magic that our different expressions can meet in people. Sending love from my little corner of the world to yours! ♡
Thank you Gabrielle ❤️. Yes it gets so confusing sometimes, but I guess with youtube "finished - not perfect" is actually something to strive for? Like you say, often it might just be we who stress it too much and loose sight of the magic. Lots of love to you too!
Oh Maria, you may not think this was a "perfect" video, but it was perfect for me. It made me cry. I don't know why, but you help me feel so much more connected to my mother's homeland. And for me Nordland IS Norway. It's the only Norway I really know, even though I don't know it all that well. Most of the time I spend there I was a teenager. Did I tell you I went to school in Trofors for one semester when I as 14? That was decades ago. Your footage was really beautiful and makes me want to come again for a visit. I never got to spend a Christmas there, but I would love to. You look quite radiant once you got back home, so I hope this journey was a very good quest for you. So nice to see your family, and your cute little cabin! I hope you don't mind me mentioning it, but your English is so good, and how can we learn unless someone helps? English is such a strange language for pronunciation. "Archipelago" is one of those words like "architect" and "archetype" where the "ch" is pronounced like a "k"...and in eider duck and eiderdown it is pronounced like "eye." Jeg skulle ønske at jeg kunne snakke norsk så godt som du snakker engelsk! And I am at the end of the Duolingo Norwegian lessons after doing it for 4 years! So I do need to come to Norway for practice! I hope you are doing well and that Bendik's show went well. I hope you will show us some of that! And wishing you a great end to summer as well, a feeling of being refreshed, and with renewed energy for life and the future. Klemmer fra Canada.!
If you ever visit for christmas there is apparently a very cool event in Mosjøen where the whole town makes a long table through the street and eat porridge together. I would love to do that some time 😂. Thank you for the input on the English! I do not mind some help, but can also not promise to be perfect 🙈. It is actually practical with so many native english speaking people in my audience though, helps me learn. Klem fra Norge!
In British English, an "eiderdown" is a smallish top-quilt for your bed, filled - logically! - with Eider down! It used to be used as an extra, warm layer over the tradition sheets/blankets type of bedmaking in Britain... rare to find them today. A couple of years ago, we sailed into the (beautiful!!) river Eider in Germany on a day like this in June and I was looking out for the ducks, but they were probably up in their Norwegian summer home lol!! Those ducks obviously have good taste in landscapes, as the river is like an 18th century painting of tree landscapes, and in summer have a breathtaking landscape of islands up there in the north :) A wonderful trip, thankyou for taking us with you!
I see, so it must have been an important resource in other countries as well then! Interesting. Just the name of the river "Eider" sounds very poetic in my ears so I can imagine it a beautiful place to sail ❤️
Norway is still one of my top travelling destinations I've been to after travelling through Europe and you've shown us the beauty of it so well. Thank you for 25 minutes of authenticity like always ❤ Every video you make is perfect the way it is because you show us your unique life and life is always beautiful in its' diversity. So you definitely shouldn't feel bad about uploading. We're always here to watch everything you decide to share with us because we're here for you. ❤ For how many days were you on the trip eventually? I remember from my car trip that the vacation extended a lot more than I anticipated because stopping in every beautiful place took so much time. 😂 And I also got the same wave of homesickness when I for example drove to South Europe and started to drive back through Hungary to Estonia after 10 days. It's like you're finally facing home again and are reminded of it every second. I don't know about you but for me it is actually really exhausting to live in a car for more than a week. At some point the body and mind start to look for comfort and security when you've gotten used to the feeling of freedom. Where did you go swimming in the beginning of the video? Would love swim there too someday. 😍 And your family seems so fun just like you! I didn't know you have so many siblings 😊 Sending so much love and I hope you have a great rest of the summer! 🌻
Thank you so much Reet, glad you liked the video even if I myself did not feel sure about it ❤️. I was gone for about 13 days! It was exactly like you say very hard to get moving because everywhere was interesting and beautiful and I just wanted to stay longer everywhere (at least after the sun came out). How interesting you felt the same way about turning back home, maybe it's just a thing that happens. I agree too that it can get a bit tiring after a long time in the car. Bad sleep, no showers and in my case no dinners or proper breakfasts. But I still would do it again any day! Like you say, there is also the freedom. I swam at a place I found on the way up to Skjæringen (that mountain top where my last video ended). You will pass it on the hike up there. Glad you liked my family too. I would love to have them in my videos more but they live a little far away. Wishing you too a great rest of the summer!
nordland and finnmark are my absolute top tiers and i cant force myself to go south again... possibly one day coming back from the north thru norway and not sweden like usually cause its way faster...
Aye I am actually early this time. Thanks for the video that just seems like such a wicked interesting way to see the country. Just park near anywhere and just take it all in.
It is not unfortunately, that was a little out of our price range when we bought a car. But I believe it is not a problem with an electric one in the north as long as it has a decent range.
@@Mariaandtheforest Thanks Maria, I have no judgement over your fuel source. I'm just curious as to how people in the remote areas do long distance and remote EV trips (I am Australian where EV is still just beginning and very expensive).
Finally, the long-awaited part 02 of Maria's adventures in one of the most beautiful places on Planet Earth has arrived. It's impossible not to like the video. The two songs are perfect, I loved it. I loved when you showed the flowers and the butterfly. The landscapes you showed are beautiful, did Van Gogh know about this place? Just one detail, your health thanked you for going 03 nights without dinner, because all doctors who are experts in physical health recommend intermittent fasting for 12 hours every day, in order to avoid diabetes and obesity. Your sisters are very nice and by any chance you don't like dogs? I've only seen cats so far. Later, make a video showing the Bendic exhibition... See you
So glad you liked it ❤️. I don't know if Van Gogh visitied, but it would not surprise me. I think with all those long walks I went on my body would have been happy about some more fuel, but I was fine without the dinner for a few days😊. I have recently learned that the science on fasting is very based on the male body and not necessarily as health promoting for female bodies. Seems like there are different opinions on it in the health world, but it is very interesting! We like dogs! Just dont have time to own one 😊
