I just started working at an Amazon fulfillment center as a picker and I like it there. I do feel like they hire so much people that sometimes we are doing nothing or are offered VTO.
Here’s my main motivations: 1) lose weight 2) great benefits (medical, 401k) 3) 5 minute commute 4)great OT pay extra pay bonus etc 5) plenty of opportunities for advancement
I like to hear stories like this because when I worked in Southern California at the warehouses I remember these slave type rules. My Latina sister you need to educate yourself and get out of that warehouse work as quickly as you can before you get used to the slavery
Im so blessed to be in shipping but my feet are in so much pain I didnt anticipate it to be this bad, so I cant Imagine the pain of the packers. Me and my friend decided to check up on them and I swear to god the first thing I saw was one dude leaning against a window looking like he was abt to cry and another dude sitting down staring at his hands as he clenched and unclenched them in pain. I felt so bad but I just burst out laughing
I started two days ago and literally had a break down because I never wanted to quit a job so early sooo bad. I’ve always did at least a year at a job. I really like the job but my feet can’t handle all the standing and stairs 😭 imma keep trying my darnest though
@@TupacShakurr First day was pretty chill because they were a little unorganized, so didnt do much besides training and tour of the building. Second day we finished up training and did hands on, it was another pretty good easy day. My third day we shadowed one person for 1 hour, then they pretty much said we were on our own. I did stowing for 5hours and its no joke. Had a lot of heavy packages and did a lot of bending over. My body is not sore, because i was already hitting the gym, just not use to working hard at 1am. I plan on staying here, because i need this 2nd job to pay things off, since covid really destroyed my career plans. Sorry overall this job is alright. Rate it a 6/10 so far. 1 being terrible, 10 being great.

thank you so much for these videos!!! i greatly appreciate you. i have a question for you love. i signed up for 6:30pm-5:00am. is that a bad shift???? im scared. am i allowed to ask management to switch shifts completely to mornings or better yet the 3 day shifts 6:00pm-7:00am? please helppp sis what’s the best shifts should i switch?
Hi .. you can switch after 3month. I’m part time and double shifts at same day w 30m break it’s killing me but full times usually works 10-12hours 4days.Talk to HR they might help you better.Good luck
I’m not sure if they are giving 200 at all centers. Mine wasn’t 200$ for the vaccine record and apparently the 1000$ bonus wasn’t for my location. At least that’s what HR told us. Tried talking to someone other than HR. Apparently nobody has any idea😤
@@jacklyn3469 thank you so much and is it tough jobs in amazon Because I'm new in America and started working in fedex Package handling and got job in amazon fulfilment center edison

it depends but many people feel less awake doing night shift as our bodies are meant to biologically sleep at that time.
I work 6:30 -5am I love it! The time flies

Ok so amazon is giving 200$ on covid 19 card and 1000$ is it true? In fulfilment center why they told you to load the trucks(Package handling)???

The loading trucks was only for training. Although you can choose to do that on the regular depending on your department.
