Max F how about some pallet wood serving trays?
Awesome project!
Thank you John!
Nice job as always
Thank you Thomas!
You could also use the same color palette wood and just torch the red/blue parts and not torch the white stripes and stars.. I would suggest metal star cutouts..place them and torch over them. Just a thought. I don't know if the torch would move them. Possibly angle the torch directly above the Union and slow Bern it to reduce heat flow that may move the metal stars. Love your channel and content.! Or
Dremel out the stars lightly just to remove the torch char.
Amazing!! Love the videos, definitely going to make one.
Damn Max Another good one, who would’ve thought no stain or paint a pallet flag would look that good. Great idea!!
Thank you so much!
Best Flags on the tube!
Thank you very much I really appreciate it! 🙏🏼
Great video Max. I'm jealous of your weathered pallet wood. I haven't been having much luck getting matching, intact pieces for most of my projects with pallet wood. I would probably have to rip 5 to 6 apart to get enough pieces. Curious if you have any suggestions for keeping the nail heads from falling out? Not that nail holes by themselves would make the flag look bad, but I really like how yours came out with the nail heads staying in.
Thank you Shane! Yea it can be difficult when so many of the pallets are busted up and have so many busted pieces. I think i just got kinda lucky, a few of them did come out but most stayed in. I used a Milwaukee torch blade on the sawzall and that seemed to work quite nicely
Outstanding every one of your builds inspires me to make them. Also as a combat veteran I love the Patriotism God bless you young man. Stay inspired and inspiring. Well done.
Thank you very much for the feedback and more importantly thank you for your service to this country. I will do my best!!
Now your cheating with the stars....lol
Flag looks very nice even with the cheater stars 🤣🤣😎👍🇺🇸
Do you have Facebook page or any other that you use I would love to ask you some questions if you wouldn’t mind
Nice work. Maybe should look into a clear dry wood glue. Last flag I did I used stars like those but just used the clear wood glue
Thats a really good idea ill check it out, thank you!
Do a shop tour
I really want to start making these, thanks for the great video! I think its perfect the stencil is a bit bigger than the actual stars so when you pull it off you dont risk pulling a star with it
Another awesome concept, man. Since you asked, it might be cool to make some crosses with pallets like this. Layering different shades, cutting out patterns, or something. Keep up the good work, bro! 🇺🇸
Thank you bro!! Hey thats a really good idea! With wood being so expensive, pallet projects would be cool to make so i appreciate the idea! 🙏🏼🇺🇸
@@MaxF01 Yeah man, I’ve seen some cool layered DYI wood crosses on UA-cam but none made with pallets. And the possibilities are endless with cutting out different patterns. Definitely a smart move on your part since wood prices (and everything else…) won’t be going down anytime soon.
@@__seeker__ thats a good point, thanks again for the idea man I really appreciate it!🙏🏼
@@MaxF01 You’re very welcome man, love your content. Just had another idea for you - dunno if you’d be into it or not, but dog tags. Wooden, wall mounted dog tags. For someone who would want a replica of one worn by a family member, perhaps who gave the ultimate sacrifice for his country. Maybe not as big as some of your flags, but I dunno. Just a thought man. Seems like something you’d be into. Now those I have never seen on UA-cam or anywhere else. But maybe there’s a reason for that. I dunno lol
Or maybe American flags with dog tags burned/carved/painted into them. Like how you did with the USMC flag you did.
@@__seeker__ dang thats another really great idea!! Definitely something worth thinking about, i think they would turn out great! Thanks for another idea! I really do appreciate it🙏🏼
Would LOVE to see you make a tutorial for a Challenge Coin holder flag! Your stuff is awesome!
Love that 3D and rustic looks, great idea Max! ✌🏼❤️🙏🏼
Thank you Mark!
Max, this one is great! I wonder what it would look like to add some burn effect and stain?
And, have you tried using a wood burning tool, or possibly, a star pattern branding iron?
Once again..a great build and video!!
Thank you very much! I did do a pallet flag with burn and stain a while back so it probably wouldnt hurt to do another! And i have also used a burning tool in the past but have not tired a star branding iron, that would be kinda cool! Thank you for the feedback and ideas!!
@@MaxF01 no worries!!
Wow, who would've thought this would look so good? I am impressed Max! I agree with Garzaaa. A shop tour would be fun! : )
Thank you so much Kerry!! Haha i would have to do some cleanup and organizing its a little bit of a mess in the garage 😂
Pretty awesome, Max! I'll have to give this a go! Love your projects, keep posting! :)
Thanks a lot man! I hope the build goes well!!
Looks amazing great work 🍻👏
Thanks a lot man 🍻🙏🏼
Eautiful Max F!!!
Thank you so much!
Gorgeous!
Thank you!!🙏🏼
Wow-looks awesome!
Thank you very much!
Bout how much would these sell for?
I sell them for around 100, 80 if its a slow week.
@@saprious5273 what are some good options to list them? Etsy? eBay? FB? 🙏🏻🙏🏻
@@caseymorgan2112 I do FB marketplace and etsy but I barely get any sales from etsy since there are a lot of these on that site. I never considered ebay so your mileage may vary.
@@saprious5273 what is your typical total out of pocket cost for one?
@@caseymorgan2112 Im so mad, I typed out my reply and right when I was going to hit reply, the page crashed but I always like talking about this stuff so I will rewrite it!
So I never really calculated my overhead cost but with some quick math it is around 25 dollars for a gallon of wood glue, the stars are about 15 dollars for a pack of 500 and the red and blue stains I u are are around 12 per color. With the method in this video you wouldnt even need to buy the stains so thats a choice you would make. The pallets are free from the side of the road so no cost there. Lets say the stain and glue lasts a year so thats roughly 50 per year and then 500 stars is obviously 10 flags. 100 flags at 100 a pop is a 1000 dollars and if you sell locally then you arent paying for shipping which I average around 15 dollars to ship each flag.
Looks awesome!! ❤️
