    But I'm gutted it's a better bike, I have to wait to change, if you think I'm just advertising GO AND RIDE IT, then you can agree with me, doesn't make the older Bikes obsolite, just don't ride it

    Very nice bike and a natural update to yours. Don't like the indicators on like that, dangerous if someone thinks you're turning. You're 100% right, should have a centre stand as standard, but they all seem to cheap out on that. I'm a VFR man but always been tempted withone of these, especially DCT. Cheers bud.

    Mine arrives in March, I’m trading in my 2021 version with 23,000 miles on it. I’m totally converted to DCT now. As a lightweight rider I’ll probably have to modify the front forks again and I’ve ordered a centre stand as part of the deal. Can’t wait!

      @ I’m 63 kilo. I changed the fork oil to 7.5 weight and increased the air gap by putting in 30ml less than standard. It’s given me a much more compliant ride. At the rear I just reduced the pre load to its lowest setting. The handling is fine for me.

    I just wish dealers would let Joe Public have decent test rides and not just UA-camrs. My local dealer that I dealt with for 30 years had sadly gone recently, and I had a 220 mile round trip today to the nearest dealer that had one for test ride. After 3 hours to get there (and 3 hours back), I was told they only allow a maximum of 30 minutes for a test ride. I never even got the bike warmed up (especially as I had no idea of the locale or roads) by the time I had to have it back, so I walked away without buying. May be a great bike but without a proper test ride I"m not shelling out. If had been given a couple of hours they may well have had a sale.

    • @birchwoodbiker
      @birchwoodbiker  22 години тому

      Hi Darren couldn't agree more I am lucky Youles let me try these bikes, but I am honest BMW dealer now won't let me ride there bikes, In2moto again the same unless it's demo day, But dealers forget customers change there bikes and I would be reluctant to by a bike without couple of hours riding, The sad thing is dealers are really struggling now, they also try to keep milage down on there demeo bikes that don't belong to them, they purchase them from the manufacturer when they hit a milage, I always say you have to ride it to buy it, hard thing to give advise when you have so far to travel😒👍👍👍

    I'm not upgrading, my 21 model has everything it needs, added cruise control, driving lights, brake light modulator, Givi crash guards, Garmin XT2 navigation with music playback controls.
    The front brakes on my 21 are also more than sufficient and I also like the looks of the 21 better than the 25.

    Are you riding with your hazard light on? You might like to review your review. In the excitement you seem to have lost the plot a little. The first thing you got excited about was a black piece of plastic instead of silver on the previous model. Then the gearchange! Its a brand new bike. Try a reset on yours. Then your brakes have a bit more play. Well try a brake service, 2 calipers have the potential to create more play. And on it goes. I havent even got to your test ride yet, you are still on the way home. Yes its an improvement and i would like one but not enough to change my 23 just yet

I realise we have to have ABS ,to comply with daft Euro directives , but I don’t have any need for the tech I don’t require & never use . I find bike models tend to improve at the the mark 2 model as most little niggles get ironed out . The newer models don’t aways look better , sometimes they reach a point where they get the look just perfect , only to mess up on the next version . I reckon the bike looks nice & lot better than some of these grotesque mechanical monsters they are producing these days & more practical too for real world everyday riding . 👍
