Not only is this performance absolutely amazing all around, from the shredding to the vocals (and even Mitch's shirt), what's more insane is that these guys chose to play this song right as the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan started to gain some momentum. And they were high schoolers. Talk about making a metal f'n statement. Glad I was there to see this ish live.

Dude - from what I can hear this is pretty tight. The drummer and everything is tight. I could only wish to have been able to play this song in high school let alone sing with the complex rhythm guitar line. WOW! Pretty great! I was into metal in my hischool also and I also had a band but at that point I was mostly just learning the basics, I was learning lead guitar licks and was the lead guitar in some sort of a punk, thrash, hardcore hybrid band. Now I did get technical later in early 2000s and I had a legit thrash band that got signed to a label, but that's another story. What I wanted to say is that this is AWESOME!

Thank GOD - or SOMEONE that these kids are learning what real music is and not the shit passing itself off as music today!!! The head banging is what made me give this a thumbs up. This brings back so many memories. The best part is that this is KIDS playing this song! ROCK ON LITTLE BROTHERS!!

The least metal thing in the world is conforming which sadly most metalheads do. Wearing a suit to a metal performance is metal as fuck. Takes a lot more balls to do that than to blend in with black shirts and jeans.

I couldn’t make out most of the sonics of the song due to the recording, but it sounded like you guys were - for the most part - playing it well. For your age , to play this type of music AND be able to sing ….. RESPECT!!

Used to have that exact ESP V-350 with EMGs-81 and replaced the bridge with an original Floyd. Miss that guitar! Great choice with the Carvin head!

Well done! Back in the 80’s I was playing in bars at the age of 12. I Missed out on playing in a high school band. If I could go back I would have played with kids around my age instead of guys in their 20’s.

My sophomore year of HS talent show featured three thrash bands lol, never before and never since. we weren't allowed vocals though, 1986 wasn't so liberal.

This one actually isn't a Dime signature. I got it in 2000 when he was still playing Washburns. So this is just a Dean ML but yeah it does have a slim/fast neck. I still have it.

Great performance. My theory is the bass player is the best one at the school and he's not a metalhead. He's there to play a classical number later. The metal trio had been practicing for this night for weeks but couldn't come up with a bass player. The night before they decided to present the gentleman with the bass tabs to Holy Wars and begged him if it was possible. The bassist scoffed and said "I'll see you on stage".
