Dave brought metallica back to the way they sounded back then, and then some. Dave is a beast of a drummer.
I once saw James drum for Metallica back in September 1989. Am I Evil? was the song. Lars was singing, Kirk was playing bass, and Jason was guitarist. This was at Irvine Meadows Amphitheater.
Thats the best version of Battery, i just cant listen to any other to this day.
Dave is top 3 all time.
As a drummer myself,Dave Lombardo is the best double bass kick pedal genius and his technical work with Tom toms and cymbals is a absolutely joy to watch an absolute icon with any metal band👍👍🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Gene
@@robertwalker3357hoglan?
Lombardo is Lombardo otherwise - king of thrash drumming
Absolutley a brillant DRUMMER simple as that@@Bumbaclot213
Thomas Haake enters the chat....
Lars' kit really took a beating that night. lol
And when we think that Dave never took drum lessons and it s a self thought drummer .....the word genius is the most appropriate 🤟👍🤟👍🤟👍🤟❤❤❤
Como que no tomo clases?, el fue pupilo de Gene Hoglan
@@elguaperas4639 he took lessons but for a very short period of time ....
The self taught as always the best
Robert and lombardooo uffff 3:36
So beautiful, it makes me want to cry
No Words Man... The Great Dave
I would like to see Lars trying to play Slayer's "Silent Scream"... 😄😄😄😄
He’s legs would fall off 😂
@@robertwalker3357 stop acting like Lars can't play fast or has never played fast yall must not have ever seen their 80s gigs.
Lars is lower then lombardos skid marked jock strap
Ja
I would not 😅
Dave getting things properly done! That double bass it's just obscene 😂 the day complete Metallica struggled to keep up
Same thought, they weren't used to this, I recall back when this happened it was like an inevitable life line for the band at that time cuz they were fucking baaaaad in the early aughts, like shitty bad,
bro, the ending riffs of this were awesome! they need this dude on the drums, no questions asked.
Seeing Rob rock out like that at the end... makes you remember that Metallica was once a thrash metal band. It took Dave to bring that out in them.
Lars is experiencing his own music being played right.
4:35 the heaviest moment ever caught on tape
Absolutely 💯 correct mate
Rob is in the best mode ❤
Sin duda, Dave está en otro nivel , mucha pieza, mucho baterista el grande Lombardo ¡!!!!!
Metallica needs Dave Lombardo !!!💪🥁
DAVE LOMBARDO the best 💥🪙🥁
Dave is the real thing man! No triggers, no special pedals. That's pure adrenaline fueled metal drumming. Still my favorite drummer!
Credit to Lars for writing the music and getting the band going and all that but this is another level in terms of live performance, which is nothing to be ashamed of.
I've been drinking this evening, and my liver performance right now is off the charts.
Yes, truly, I think I hear a beep.
Yep. No Metallica without Lars, but they would sound amazing live with a more powerful and consistent drummer. It's just a fact. Lars is legendary, but he's never been the tightest.
@@gringochucha this wasn’t tight at all, what?
@@Ibanez527 Of course this wasn't tight. I don't know if they even rehearsed and Dave was playing too fast for the rest of the band. Who said this was tight? Read my comment, dude.
Lombardo es una bestia tocando! Que ejecución tan perfecta y thrashera se aventó 🤘🎸 Brutal versión de Battery! Yeah, gracias Dave 😎
Lombardo : king of Metal drumming !!!!!!
Metallica had never been heard before, even James smiles at how good and comfortable they feel with Dave Lombardo on drums.
My god, what a beast! Lombardo's kick was both fast and so strong at the same time. I love this version.
Esa velocidad del doble bombo es brutal..!!!🔥🔥🤟🏼, Dave un maestro, el mejor baterista, el padrino del doble bombo 🔥🔥👌🏻🇨🇱
