Thank you pluto for reacting to my request to me this performance is one of my favorites, you can feel the passion when he sings this, i also love elvis gospel music its one of my favorites... yes yes yes please do a full concert.. I love the sound of the band too you just dont hear music like this anymore,, Have a lovely week 😊😊😊😊
Thank you Cathy for all of the support🚀💛 Great request, this was absolutely beautiful. I agree the essence of good music has been watered down, unfortunately. That’s why we have to keep great music alive!! You have a beautiful week as well!
I grew up in "Little Dixie " as a child...I picked cotton alongside my parents, grandparents , blacks, white and others. We sang, laughed, shared lunches and worked alongside each other. There was no division! It wasn't until the "Government " got involved that there was animosity! DIVIDE AND CONQUER!
Thank you for reacting to Elvis! The more Elvis the better! You'll quickly see why he IS the "King". Thank you to the fans who requested that Pluto react to this performance!
I must have seen this clip hundreds of times but it gets me every time. The master at work, such soul and passion. I'm sure you know that this Aloha concert was the first ever to be beamed live by satellite to many countries and was seen by over a billion people. The whole concert (and the rehearsal show from two days before) are superb. Anything from Aloha, the 1968 comeback TV special or the documentary film 'That's the Way It Is' is fire. Elvis forever ❤
THAT VOICE. BARITONE. The man saaaang with a vibe THAT WAS leGIT. and REAL. That's why people connect to him so well. He will be legendary for THOUSANDS of years. His gospel was superior then and its untouchable now. Pluto ... you aint alone man.
The full concert is just Amazing. I watched the full dress rehearsal the day before, where people could see the concert for a donation at the door, thus opening it up to so many people who would otherwise have not been able to afford a ticket, or had been too late to get one, as both were sold out performances to huge crowds … & this concert was the very first live concert to be beamed around the world to 36 countries, via satellite. I saw it in New Zealand when I was 21, along with my wife, & we just thought it was incredible to think that he was on stage performing as we were watching. Love this Trilogy.
If you going to review a complete recorded Elvis tour, please review the Elvis On Tour, 1970 movie. I believe it also includes some ‘72 performances. I believe that this is even better than Elvis In Hawaii. This was the beginning of the end for Elvis. After he died, it was and still is hard for me to watch it. He was much less energetic than he was in ‘72. Saw him in person from ‘57 through ‘74, except for 1958 and ‘59. I saw him once in ‘75 , only because my girlfriend wanted to go. I knew what was happening to Elvis, and we were both shocked at his appearance and performance compared to the other years. I will always love Elvis, and listen to him everyday!!!❤
I love this whole concert ,Elvis looks great ,and his vocals got even more stronger and powerful as he aged ,and that belt he is wearing ,after this song he threw it out into the crowd ,god gifted Elvis to us
Trilogy is a medley of three uniquely American pieces: “Dixie,” (dixie are the states down south in the U.S.); “Battle Hymn of the Republic,” a marching hymn of the Union Army during the American Civil War; and “All My Trials,” a Bahamian (people of the Bahamas) lullaby related to African American spirituals sung by protesting folksingers of the 1950s. THAT RUNWAY from the STAGE: Producer/director Marty Pasetta told Parker (Elvis' manger) that he wanted to build a runway for Elvis to walk out onto & Parker said no. Pasetta explained that it would be 8 ft. wide & Elvis could stay in the middle or go to the left or to the right if he wanted to because Pasetta knew how important the audience was to Elvis, but Parker still said no. Fortunately, Pasetta was able to meet w-Elvis & he explained exactly what he told Parker. Fortunately again, Elvis overrode Parker & told Pasetta to build the runway. Pasetta told Elvis he wanted him to lose some weight & Elvis lost 25 lbs. Elvis then hugged Pasetta & said you are one of the few people who has been totally honest w-me. Without that runway the concert would have been very different if Elvis did not have the option to get in close touch w-the audience. This concert was A BENEFIT TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE KUI LEE CANCER FUND. It raised $75,000 & Elvis bought his own ticket for $1,000. The amount of people in the audience was said to be approx. 8,800.
@@ChefBarb58 Thank you so very much. It's very difficult to really know what is & what isn't. I always say the only one who knows the truth left this earth on Aug. 16, 1977. There's 3 worlds worth of information out there, a lot of it untrue or incorrect & I have gotten caught up a couple of times w-bad info. Even when it comes to information, interviews, etc., from "his people" who knew him & worked for him for 20 yrs., sometimes have contradicted themselves or told varying stories. A very few I do tend to believe, everyone else I doubt. I always take everything w-a grain of salt, but still, ya just never know. Thx again -- have a great day/evening.
Dixie was the song of the South during the Civil War, All My Trials Lord was a hymn of the slaves, Battle Hymn of the Republic was the song of the North. With this gorgeous rendition he is uniting us. Sooooo powerful!
Jane H commenting …. This is one of my favourite Elvis songs. I would love you to do a Reaction on Steamroller Blues in the Aloha from Hawaii 1973 Live Concert.
Pluto please do the Aloha 1973 concert.& when you do 1) What now my love .... Please do the rehearsal version of the two performances. All his songs are wonderful in this concert 😄 Thank you
If you want some Beautiful Gospel, then check out Elvis & his daughter, Lisa Maries "duet" of "Where No One Stands Alone" AND Elvis' Final performance on Ed Sullivan... He closed this show with "Peace in the Valley" (make sure to listen After the song to what Sullivan says "to Elvis Presley and the country"....❤❤❤
He's something else ain't he if i could go back in tine id go back to this piece of world history as it was the first concert show done via satelite all around the world and was viewed by over 1•5billion individuals.TCB&TLC
Second time I heard a review of yours. Just great! Nice to see a young man enjoy Elvis. A life long Elvis fan since’56 , a blues fan since ‘54 and a rap fan since Ice-T. First real “Gangsta” to whom I was introduced. Would you please review some swamp blues? How about Slim Harpo’s Rock Me Baby? It’s a song I wish Elvis would have performed. He would have been arrested back in those days, but I would have loved it! Great reactions to Elvis! Thanks again!
Besides Elvis' normal band members he did have a 20 or 30 piece orchestra directed by conductor Joe Gercio. During one of his Hawaii performances he introduced everyone individually by name to the audience & announced Joe Gercio & the Joe Gercio orchestra & they all stood up to take a bow.
Another great Elvis reaction! The back-up singers were The Sweet Inspirations, Kathy Westmoreland, J.D. Sumner and The Stamps Quartet. I would love to see you react to the whole Aloha From Hawaii concert. Another idea: a reaction to his very first album "Elvis Presley".
Hush Little Baby, was for Lisa His little girl, becuase during this time, he was going through a divorce.. His life and health was taking a down spin, very sad, it stil makes me cry when I hear it. I know Elvis like the back of my hand. Plunto, when His mom died, a part of him died, play "momma likes the rosses" you will hear him cry.. ty buddy
If you do a reaction to this show, you might have to break it up to 15 min at a time, but before you do, bring up "The Making Of Aloha From Hawaii", it will give you a little insight on how it came about, I'm all for a reaction to it, if you are interested in Elvis's Gospel music? do the same with a documentary called "He Touched Me, The Gospel Music Of Elvis Presley", It is hosted by Sander Vanocur, Thanks Pluto. 🎉🎉🎉

thank you Pluto for this beautiful video of our precious Elvis the back up singers the band and the orchestra were the best ever anywhere
Many could probably write the music but only Elvis could really tell the story! Forever the King 👑
With Elvis, you feel the passion, hear the passion and see the passion...he's unlike any other.
Thanks for the reaction.
The legend lives. WE❤U ELVIS.
Elvis was , and still is , and always will be THE MAN ... TCB forever !

THAT VOICE. BARITONE. The man saaaang with a vibe THAT WAS leGIT. and REAL. That's why people connect to him so well. He will be legendary for THOUSANDS of years. His gospel was superior then and its untouchable now. Pluto ... you aint alone man.
That has to be one of the ALL TIME GREATEST gospel performances EVER.
Elvis was the first to use a full orchestra; he also directed them as he performed. He's really amazing.
What an incredible performance... goosebumps and tears ❤
👑✌️
That truly was magnificent. Elvis is on a different level.
Elvis had so many great performances, but this one is his best 💕💕
