HM Defense HM50B, review "at home and on the range." Bushmaster BA50 clone?

I seen this down at the local Sportsman's Warehouse, and I took note of the left handed bolt. I figured I better at least try it. Looks like a Bushmaster BA50…. For the most part. Sure like it!
By the way, I incorrectly stated the M82A1 is "blowback operated" where we all know it's recoil operated, rotating bolt. 😉

M82A1 is recoil operated and not blowback operated. Sorry for any confusion. I caught my error when I re-watched this video.

I was questioning if you had enough barrel on that thing. Looks a wee bit short for optimum powder burn etc.
At 500m which all other things being equal is easy kill distance for that calibre the answer is a definite yes.
How it performs at 800 to 1000m plus is going to be interesting to watch.

The other gentleman is correct, 29.25” barrel. My goal is to match my personal best, that is an 18” group at 1760 yds. (1 mile) unfortunately I did that before I began filming UA-cam stuff.

​@WesternOutdoor Good to know. Do you have any vids speaking on this while using a 50 cal? I have a barrett, and have been deciding between a mk5 Luepold or the Arkin.

@@ajflyingatyomouth2831 so, I run a Leupold Mk 4 on the Barrett I have. I’d make it a FFP if I could, that being said it’s a far superior scope, compared to the Arken (in my experience). Is the MK5 a FFP? Just curious.

​@WesternOutdoor From what I've reviewed regarding the mk5, it is FFP. I, too, have the Arkin on my howa .308, but if there's no downside to putting an Arkin on the barrett, since it's 50 rated, I'll begin there before moving to the mk4/mk5
