@@lorettachin1137 that is SO COOL! What an awesome experience! Well, the Lego House is pretty awesome so hopefully you'll get to play around a bit, too.
Jess, you nailed the pronunciation of æbleskiver! But your pronunciation of tivoli made me giggle - it's "TEE-vuh-lee" but fast. Smørrebrød is a stable for lunch time in Denmark. Not always fancy, for every day we keep it simple, and for special occasions we make them more fancy. A summer roadtrip is a great idea! The islands of Fyn, Thurø, Langeland, and Ærø and all the tiny islands in between are all connected by ferries and absolutely one of a kind to experience, with lots of old old houses and long, deserted beaches.
As a fellow dane I totally second this comment! If you want to experience Denmark you have to go island hopping! It's absolutely magical and my aussie husbands favorite place to go on holiday (Especially Ærø). Try traveling by bike - even if it's a daytrip. You can rent bikes with childseats on them or a christiania bike where you sit in the tray infront. Aarhus is also beautiful and a lot different to Copenhagen, but out in nature is where it's really at, I would say :) Such a contrast to Australia. If you do go to Aarhus consider also visiting the area around Silkeborg and Himmelbjerget. In Aarhus it's worth visiting the old town, Moesgaard museum, the forrest next to Moesgaard, AROS for the rainbow and DOKK1 for the playtime for Hunter.
I usually get really frustrated when I see people travelling to Denmark and only going to Copenhagen. I am Danish and from Jutland and I rarely feel like Copenhagen is a decent representation of Denmark. It’s part of Denmark and therefore a part of what you can experience in Denmark, but I feel like there is so much more to the culture (and its very different) from what you see in Copenhagen. I'm excited that you are thinking of doing a road trip in Denmark and I just want to give you some recommendations. Arhus is the biggest city in Jutland and the second biggest city in Denmark. in general, it’s not that different from Copenhagen, but there are a few things I would recommend. Den gamle by is a museum of how Denmark looked like through the years. You physically walk don’t different streets and experience the different decades. Another thing that people rave about is Aros, which is a big art museum, but personally I don’t care for it. Odense is the city of H. C. Andersen. It has a very cozy center, but not much more. Fyn is in general very chill. The whole west coast from Skagen to the German border is beautiful and I would advise everybody to go there, just be careful if you want to go in the water. There are lots of bunkers as well and museums about WW2. I Especially love the northern part of Løkken and Skagen. Skagen has wild seals and Løkken is an awesome place to surf. There are also lots of different zoos and amusement parks. I would recommend Randers Regnskov, Skandinavisk dyrepark, Djurssommerland and Fårup sommerland. Of course there is also Legoland, which I am not the biggest fan of, but it’s probably different for a foreigner. In my opinion it just sucks that when people think of Denmark, they think of Copenhagen (if they even know where it is) and I don’t think I’m alone in that feeling about my home country. @flyingthenest I get it, Copenhagen Is also an experience in itself and I know that it's hard for people to experience everything the world have to offer. Hopefully you will come back one day and explore the more unknown places of Europe.
I get what you mean, even as a Copenhagen native. I do however thing a lot of it has to do with the simple fact that most international flights land in Copenhagen. So its natural that people visit Copenhagen instead of Aarhus for instance. It's quite a train ride to get there, especially if you only stay for a few days. But yes, there are some really incredible places all around Denmark..

This makes me so happy. I'm from Denmark, I live in a city north of Copenhagen called Helsingør or Elsinore. Its a really beautiful city and we have a castle called Kronborg, the you can visit and hear stories about and stuff. You can also take the ferry 20 minutes across Øresund til Helsingborg, it's a quick day trip and yeah. You should really come to the north coast of Sjælland, we have some beautiful cities and mostly in the summer. If you want I could give you guys some recommendations on what to see and small things that not all tourists knows about.
You all sure had fun with the Danish pastries! BTW, in Denmark they're called 'Viener brod' [Vienna bread] and that's because some Austrian pastry chefs settled in Copenhagen in the early 1800's and baked their fave foods which the Danes quickly learned to love! Thanks for this!
Excuse me, I am an Egyptian Christian residing in Egypt. I am being persecuted because of my religion. Does Denmark accept Christian refugees from Egypt?

I'm so glad I saw this video. It is so beautiful and ♡ warming. I'll be in Copenhagen in November and inspired by this video I looked up when the Tivoli Christmas markets open and luckily for me it is two day before I leave! I'll be able to experience this for myself!

So happy you likes it here :D The bakery you went to is actually the oldest bakery in the nordic countries, dating back to the 1650's and still going. I go there as often as possible - and by that I mean when my weight allows it XD For your next trip, off the top of my head, the church falling into the sea at Stevns klint. It is one of the (admittedly hundreds of) churches that has restored murals from the pre reformation period, that is before the 1500's. The place in general is just so unique and beautiful.
I got SO excited seeing you try æbleskiver😆 Jess you were the closest with the pronunciation, you sounded practically Danish! So happy you enjoyed Denmark, having lived there until the age of 5, it was super magical seeing Hunter experience Tivoli and everything else for the first time❤❤
I didn’t get to see a ton of Denmark while I worked on ships, but what I did see was just so cool. I would love to go back someday. Copenhagen was fantastic.
Only found you guys a couple of months ago when looking for Iceland videos, what a lovely family. I really enjoy watching your trips, can`t afford to go there myself, well, not yet anyhow, maybe when I retire? This trip to Denmark looked fantastic and dream of every kid in the world I should think, little Hunter is so lucky to have parents like you. Happy travels.. ATB Dave.
This is one of the coolest videos I have ever watched 🎉🎉🎉 thanks a lot!! You guys as a family are an inspiration and also now I want to travel there , big hugs to you all ❤🎻
Hello.. Dane here.. U should really go to Randers Regnskov. A rainforest in a small City called Randers in northern Jutland. Amazing to see! A must see if u go to Denmark. 3 different spheres of rainforest enjoyment! Besides that, you should really also go see HC. Andersens house in Odense on Fyn. There is a museum there honoring his fairy tales quite close to his home. Else, there are TONS of places to see in Denmark. We also have Skagen, where u can see 2 oceans meat each other at the tip of jutland. Really fun experience and a nice walk on the beach to the spot. Maybe you are lucky spotting some live seals. Well.. thats my take on what to see..
Love it, as always! Why is Hunter starting to sound so English? The way she says ‘yes’, etc. she’s really starting to say those consonants so crisply. I love how her language skills develop from vlog to vlog.
Thank you for visiting my country! These are some lovely places around Denmark: Skagen Blokhus Thy National Park Mols Bjerge Læsø Hvide Sande Fanø Samsø Aarhus Sønderborg Odense Ærø Møn - Møns klint Roskilde Køge Faxe Kalkbrud Stevns Klint - Gammel Højerup Kirke. Sjællands Odde
I can’t believe I’ve been watching y’all since before you had a baby … and know your baby is talking!!! Wonderful episode. My dream is to visit Denmark. Hopefully soon.
If you want to go to a place outside the cities and really get into some small towns, i would say that if you go in summer, you should go to Løkken, in Northern Jutland, they have the most amazing beaches and such a happy atmosphere and Ærø where you will be thrown back in time a bit and experience rural and small part of Denmark, many of their stores is still the same as they where 50 years ago and it's such a special little place to experience. Skagen is also extremely beautiful, you can go to the top of Denmark and see where the two seas meat. It's really fascinating. But in the meantime I hope you'll have an amazing time in Finland, amazing country as well! ☺️
Please do come back to Denmark and visit more of the smaller cities. Because everyone is going to Copenhagen, but Denmark has so much more to offer. If you do come back, you should consider Møns klint, it is really beautiful there😍🇩🇰🐚
@@flyingthenest Hi, I really enjoyed your Moroccan series from 4 years ago. I'm American but family and ethnicity is Moroccan and I know Morocco well as I go there every summer to see my family so I would love it if you ever went back to Morocco because even though you visited some nice places like Marrakech and Chefchaouen there is more to Morocco, I have a lot of suggestions I can give you if you want to know more places to visit. I would suggest if you use the modern bullet trainto get around the big attractions in Morocco as the bullet train is quicker than using a rental car and it's not too expensive in Morocco.
she was SOOO close, to saying æbleskiver (translates in to apple slices, but better known, as pancake puffs) PERFECT, on the first try, and is a LOT better, than any other non Dane, i ever seen try... after she said it the first time, and then they changed how they said it, i was sitting here saying "nonono, stop that was perfect" 3 times in a row...
If you return in the summer you should rent bikes (get a cargo bike or one with a child seat). It's the best way to get around in Copenhagen. Check out CopenHill which is in biking distance from Nyhavn across the bridge. It's a waste facility with a year-round ski slope on the roof. It's free to visit. Take the elevator up, and walk down. Then set course for Reffen food market which is quite close by for lunch or dinner. It stays bright until quite late in the summer.
I would definitely suggest coming here in the summer again. Winter is kinda like Denmark hibernation time, we are alot more alive at summer:) lots of kids run around and alot more is open. But if you do make sure to bring sunscreen and sun glasses, you can never be sure of the weather but it tends to be very sunny
Btw fun ting about words in denmark, you dont say all the letters so Tivovli for example is said more like Tivli. This is not meant to sound rude i just get very excited when people like my country
If you come to Denmark again in the warmer months, you should definitely take a road trip on the west coast of Jylland and stay in a summer house in Blokhus or Rødhus (cheaper). Blokhus is a nice summer city by the coast, where you are near the amusement park "Fårup Sommerland" and near a sculpture park in Hune.
If you had visited the CPH Zoo you would have felt at home. We have an Australian area with Tasman Devils, Wombats and large Tasman Kangaroos, witch we have found out to multiply by changing their year, with lights, to a Northern Standard, so now they experience summer when it is summer up here, and have more fun.
Wow, this place is amazing. I’ve always wanted to go there and I appreciate you showing all the wonderful markets and buildings in Copenhagen. I dated a guy in Canada for a year and a half and his father was from Copenhagen and live during World War II. He was a young child, and he should be pictures of rows of buildings and they were so amazing!
I am so so sorry that I am late but I love this video and love you guys as well and can't wait for the new baby love you guys and hope you're having fun
I really enjoyed your video. A few of places to visit in Denmark: Møn. Mostly famous for the high chalk cliffs, but there is much else to see. Old churches and the town of Stege, for example. Frederiksborg slot. The largest renaissance castle in the Nordic countries. Many rooms furnished as they would have been when the king and his court lived here. They have a small section with activitied for children too. Egeskov slot. A lot to see, and many activities, also for children. Den Game By (The Old Town) in Århus. Old town houses from all over Denmark have been collected here. Some are from he 1600's. Ypu can see how poeple lived in the past. They have a section from 1974, and is working on one from 2014. Don't miss the time machine.

If you ever come back here maybe try to go some of our smaller cities which aren't too influenced by tourism to see some more of the authentic Denmark. But i still have some suggestions; -We got some beautiful beaches in Nordsjælland(Tisvildeleje beach, Hornbæk beach etc.) -Frilandsmuseet (The open air museum) Where you'll experience the countryside of Denmark a 100, if not more, years ago. Heatherhill / Tisvildehegn / Melby Overdrev are all nature areas / forests in Nordsjælland - Absolutely stunning! -Møns klint is also a breathtaking sight, 6km coastline of limestone and chalk cliffs. -Jutland is also very beautiful and we got Vesterhavet(North sea) with a 500+ km coastline. -We also got quite a few old castles. And a dish to try is our national dish Stegt flæsk med persille sovs (Fried pork breast with parsley sauce) 😉
My husband and I did a road trip in Denmark during September, but would love to return to the quaint beach towns during summer! You cannot miss Lønstrup, Løkken and Skagen in North Jutland, as well as the Råbjerg Mile. We fell in love with Denmark and the concept of hygge🤍😍
Glad you in joyed a little bit of Denmark. Jess you almost pronounced æbleskiver Right. Yes, as you said in the video there are a lot more to see away from the city’s and no, we don’t only eat danish for breakfast maybe as a dessert after breakfast and if mostly in the weekends.😊
im over the moon happy that you guys went to Denmark! i come from here myself, and jumped out of bed when i saw this video was posted! next time your in denmark, i think you should go to Århus/Aarhus and see a museum called Aros, with the big rainbow! its amazing to walk up there! ♥
Next time you do a road trip through Denmark there are a couple places that are really cool and worth seeing! Check out the castle outside of Copenhagen. It was so unique with all the museums and peacocks walking around the grounds. Also at another area There is a place you can go in and feed the denmark deer, their stags and others for free. Check out the sinking lighthouse, they expect it to disappear into the ocean in the next 10 years. Also going to the most northern point of Denmark where the two seas meet, you can see where the waves meet in the middle of the sea and crash together, one sea is blue and one is green colored!! We saw a ton more gems while road tripping there for 3 weeks, but these were our favorites. Also the friends restaurant in alborg is worth checking out the carbonara is fantastic!!

It does look great in summer.
I can't express how much I enjoy watching your videos! 😭😍 Hunter is just the most precious little girl and your family has a huge part of my heart! Thank you ALL for ALWAYS putting a smile on my face and I'm living vicariously through your travels! I'm praying for your safety and health and I can't wait to meet your little bundle of joy! Hunter will be the best big sister! 💗🥰
Wow. Can't believe I've actually been on here right when you post a vid! That never happens! Been following you for years now. Excited to see where the next year brings you with a new baby and some amazing travels. Love you all!!!
Thanks Mark :)
Great video, glad you had a good time here. Such a cheerful, lovely family. Your little one is too cute 🤗
Hunter is growing up so fast!!! I can’t wait for baby #2!!!!
us tooo!
Does Denmark accept Christian refugees from Egypt?

omg Hunter is growing up so fast, she is so this utube girl........... love it you guys rock this.......... so happy that I found your channel. thank you
I'm glad your like our country.😊🌸
There are so many lovely places.
Every sesson is lovely.
Hope your Come back in the summertime, when trees are green.😊
I'm so glad I saw this video. It is so beautiful and ♡ warming. I'll be in Copenhagen in November and inspired by this video I looked up when the Tivoli Christmas markets open and luckily for me it is two day before I leave! I'll be able to experience this for myself!
I totally love your vlog. With toddler here at home I get so inspired! I would so love if you guys took a trip to Norway 🇳🇴 Fjords, sea, mountains, whales and salmon! But also so much more, and totally child friendly ❤️ I would especially recommend you coming for the 17th of may, our National day!
I also love Denmark can you all try Aarhus
That looks an interesting city!
watching people tasting all sort of food ,cakes, pastries is my favourite. All looked so delicios.💛
it was all so delicious!!
The beanie is cute plus it keeps your head wam, you can use it the entire Christmas season. The baby is adorable and so smart!
So happy you likes it here :D The bakery you went to is actually the oldest bakery in the nordic countries, dating back to the 1650's and still going. I go there as often as possible - and by that I mean when my weight allows it XD
For your next trip, off the top of my head, the church falling into the sea at Stevns klint. It is one of the (admittedly hundreds of) churches that has restored murals from the pre reformation period, that is before the 1500's. The place in general is just so unique and beautiful.
I love this city! Thank you❤
❤❤
Aww thank you so much for sharing this beautiful journey with us
I got SO excited seeing you try æbleskiver😆 Jess you were the closest with the pronunciation, you sounded practically Danish! So happy you enjoyed Denmark, having lived there until the age of 5, it was super magical seeing Hunter experience Tivoli and everything else for the first time❤❤
aww its such a beautiful country! cant wait to see more of it!
I didn’t get to see a ton of Denmark while I worked on ships, but what I did see was just so cool. I would love to go back someday. Copenhagen was fantastic.
Denmark during Christmas >>>>
This video really made me miss it 😔
I love the way she cleans dadyds face. She getting big so fast. It's a beautiful country. I'm happy you had a great time
i know!! she needs to slow down!
You guys as a family are an inspiration and also now I want to travel there , big hugs to you all ❤🎻
aww youre so sweet thanks Laura!
Next time the Viking museum in Roskilde is amazing. Of course, you'll want to go to Legoland, too.
So happy that you enjoyed your trip in Copenhagen. I loved it too. One of my favorite cities in Europe. 🇩🇰
this has been one of my favorite vlogs that you have done recently
Hi fron a Dane,, glad you enjoyed ur place, even in the cold weather. Great stuff you make.
Hello..
Wow! I loved seeing the Danish Christmas markets! Definitely a real-life Hallmark movie. I’m in LOVE!
Great vlog as always! A roadtrip in Denmark does not take very long. A few hours from north to south. Keep up the good work. Be safe!
You are such a lovely family and Hunter is adorable!
Love it, as always! Why is Hunter starting to sound so English? The way she says ‘yes’, etc. she’s really starting to say those consonants so crisply. I love how her language skills develop from vlog to vlog.
Finallyyyyy, i miss this. Thank you so much
Thank you for visiting my country!
These are some lovely places around Denmark:
Skagen
Blokhus
Thy National Park
Mols Bjerge
Læsø
Hvide Sande
Fanø
Samsø
Aarhus
Sønderborg
Odense
Ærø
Møn - Møns klint
Roskilde
Køge
Faxe Kalkbrud
Stevns Klint - Gammel Højerup Kirke.
Sjællands Odde
I can’t believe I’ve been watching y’all since before you had a baby … and know your baby is talking!!! Wonderful episode. My dream is to visit Denmark. Hopefully soon.
aww thanks for staying for so long :)
Bornholm is a island were you see small towns and shops really cool place and have some of the finest sand in the world😊
If you want to go to a place outside the cities and really get into some small towns, i would say that if you go in summer, you should go to Løkken, in Northern Jutland, they have the most amazing beaches and such a happy atmosphere and Ærø where you will be thrown back in time a bit and experience rural and small part of Denmark, many of their stores is still the same as they where 50 years ago and it's such a special little place to experience.
If you do come back, you should consider Møns klint, it is really beautiful there😍🇩🇰🐚
No place as magical as tivoli at christmas. Glad you enjoyed it here :-)
Wow! Such a magical video! Thank you sharing with us 😊
Your videos are so fun to watch, you make all the countries you visit interest me to visit them in the future as well.
Yayyy
ありがとう❤こんにちは! I'm from Japan. I love Copenhagen! I want to go to Denmark someday. Copenhagen is very beautiful city. I like viking history and culture.
Thank you guys 😍 Just amazing 🤩
I live Denmark. Copenhagen is the BEST!❤️ Christmas time is on my list now.
Another great video!! Thanks for sharing your Denmark experience with us!
Thanks for joining us :)
We are going to Copenhagen this summer! Can't wait! Thanks for this video!
It should be so beautiful in summer :) have the best time
Wow, this place is amazing.
Go to some of the coastal areas in the summer. Bornholm is also worth a trip
Love seeing people loving life❤
I really enjoyed your video.
A few of places to visit in Denmark:
Møn.
Love your videos! Keep up the great work! :)
Thanks so much!
Ahhh finally in my country! hope you enjoyed your stay guys
hehe so glad to finally have made it!!
Brilliant video! Thanks for sharing, sending love!❤
Thank you so much!
Great video about Denmark. It looks like a great place to visit. It also looks cold in December. Thanks for sharing...
Super cold but it was still fun!
Cool Disney fact and yummy food
A well done travel video and a splendid example of good parenting.
Wow such a colorful and beautiful city! I don't think I have ever craved hot chocolate so much after watching this video. LOL! And all that warm Gleuwein, you guys must have been feeling it. You guys are so festive. Hunter is living the best life!! Looking forward to Finland!
So happy Cleo is back on the road with you guys. Lots more giggling with all the girls 😜
My favorite video of the year so far!
yayy
@@flyingthenest Absolutely! 💖 I LOVED every moment of this video and keep re watching it! I love when you guys are doing ANY type of winter adventure as those are my favorites! I hope you guys can make it to many more Scandinavian places!
I am 100% into watching you guys experience winter since you lived in such an opposite climate for so long.
I am so excited to see the Finland adventures that I wish I so could of been a part of 😓🥰
Precious moments between everyone on herr as well for sure! Missed Clio (hope I spelled her name right) being part of the action! Hehe
Loved this - so happy and warm xx
Thank you so much!
Looks amazing! I've always wanted to go. Your channel inspires me to travel like no other.
10:30 æbleskiver….you totalt nailed it!
Yay!!! Cheers!!! 😍😊🍻🍺
We love Copenhagen! Unfortunately haven't been there in the winter, but it looks magical!
If you ever come back here maybe try to go some of our smaller cities which aren't too influenced by tourism to see some more of the authentic Denmark.
But i still have some suggestions;
-We got some beautiful beaches in Nordsjælland(Tisvildeleje beach, Hornbæk beach etc.)
-Frilandsmuseet (The open air museum) Where you'll experience the countryside of Denmark a 100, if not more, years ago.
Nordsjælland is translated to Northern sealand - The northen part of the island where Copenhagen is located 😄
My husband and I did a road trip in Denmark during September, but would love to return to the quaint beach towns during summer! You cannot miss Lønstrup, Løkken and Skagen in North Jutland, as well as the Råbjerg Mile. We fell in love with Denmark and the concept of hygge🤍😍
oh wicked thanks so much for the suggestions!! need to start planning a proper road trip!
Omg stop it! The little binoculars! ❤️😍
Beautiful Enjoy much love and blessings
im over the moon happy that you guys went to Denmark! i come from here myself, and jumped out of bed when i saw this video was posted! next time your in denmark, i think you should go to Århus/Aarhus and see a museum called Aros, with the big rainbow! its amazing to walk up there! ♥
yayyy hope you enjoyed it :)
Beautiful city, interesting travelogue. Nice to see such a high quality video!
