Against seasickness, try to stay as low as possible and as much in the middle as possible! When we went Copenhagen to Oslo, we had a suite at the front top deck, which was fun, until the storm on the way back 🤢
cutest family ever !! seeing koa and hunter grow up together is the cutest thing ever !!!! can’t wait to watch all of the fun things planned for the kids in next weeks video, so excited for the europe content!!! ILYY the cutest family ever 💕
So funny to see Koa’s fascination with the farming machines😍 I know one cannot generalise, but with three sons and one daughter I so recognised the eagerness for watching wheeled machinery in Koa, while Hunter explored other things🤩😂
I've been watching you for 9 years now and I never get tired of watching you. I hope that you'll be in Germany again over Christmas. I'm looking forward to the next videos
This a cool way to travel to Denmark, and with a pool ! Amazing ! The price is also affordable. I'm blown away by all the activities they offer for the kids. 🥰Can't way to see what next. 💕
We took that very same ferry (DFDS Crown Seaways), but going in the opposite direction from Copenhagen to Oslo, in December 2022 -- and loved it! And that's saying a lot because we are well-seasoned cruisers with nearly 50 cruises and over 400 days at sea already under our belts. We were surprised at how much entertainment and activities this ferry offered: trivia games, FREE Bingo with some cool prizes, house party band and even a cabaret show by the "cruise director" (who also led all the other games and activities). We were assigned a 4 berth inside cabin even though we were only two people, for which we "seniors" only paid $100 USD (total) for both of us (including our transportation to the ferry from the CPH train station). We definitely want to take this ferry again - maybe for one of those 2 day "mini-cruises" they offer at incredibly low fares and which give you a full day in the "destination" city.
OK, i dont know if it is my bias for all things Scandinavian (especially Norway) but y'all's Norway van series was sublime. I have only had the opportunity to visit once but now I realize I must go back. And if I can catch a DFDS Ferry, all the better. God bless your sweet genuine precious family.
Copenhagen is an international hub airport, so it's very likely that your Scandinavian flight will end up there, so it's not a bad idea at all if you like travelling by boat.
I’m always keeping an eye on Koa’s growing character and he is showing a great one like his big sister Hunter! ❤❤❤ Soon they will be the one narrating your video stories 😅😊
Wauw beautiful Airb&b and the view of the farmers busy in their fields beautiful 😍 Koa will have a lot of fun watching 😊 .Legoland have Fun told its great 😜. Love Denmark visited quite a few times. Many years ago 😊 . Safe travels 🥰
I've loved watching your family travels for years now! I plan on doing that same ferry/cruise on our Scandinavia trip next year. So I was very excited to to see you all experience it, especially since it seemed to receive rave reviews from you! Safe travels! :)
Aww youre soo kind really appreciate you watching our videos :) which have been you fav series we've done?! YES we loved the DFDS ferries - you see we will do the Smyrl line in a future vlog and it was sooo much worse than DFDS!
@@flyingthenest Thanks for writing back! Hmm...tough question! Your videos are so well done. We loved both van life series as we have our own van now! It’s so funny watching this as in August we did a cruise from the U.K. to Copenhagen/Oslo/Rotterdam and so saw the ferry in both C’hagen and Oslo. Fab to see the inside of it! What a great price :-) love your vlogs / travels.
Well who would have thought Denmark, but hey we would follow you guys anywhere as you are so bloody fantastic. Norwegians go to Denmark and back with this ferries to get drunk for little money, buy cheep stuff in tax free and have a little break. Lots of Norwegian families also taken their car and go on holiday in Denmark 😊

Welcome back to Denmark, i have a pretty good guess that you guys are going to Legoland 😊 But no matter where you going to here in Denmark I truly hope you guys will enjoy your stay ❤❤❤❤😊😊
Great vlog as always! The ferries in the nordic countries are like cruise ships. A cabin is almost free. They want to take you to the cleaners because where else can you go? The ferries from Oslo to Kiel are alot bigger and a lot nicer. This ship is from the late 80s. Now you are off to Legoland, or Billund. Keep up the good work. Be safe my friends!
I absolutely love your videos and seeing all the adventures you get to experience. That was a absolutely awesome ferry/cruise ship. Thank you for sharing your lives and your traveling adventures ❤
I got a cabin on that ferry for $110, for 2 people. Way cheaper. This was below the cargo deck, below the big rig trucks, below the waterline. It was great. I did not sleep much at all, I was taking photos on the top deck, enjoying the scenery of Oslo Fjord, until 11pm, getting up at 5am to enjoy the coast of Denmark. It was magic. Legoland Billund? That would be perfect! We went there twice with our kids. They loved building and building lego bricks and didnt think much of the rides😅
It's a little boy passion. Our sons and grandsons loved to watch trucks and tractors and busses. The grandboys live next door to a school. Loving that you usually order Bombay Sapphire as your gin of choice.... anywhere in the world, you can find the square blue bottle and everything seems a little bit better... or at least, it relaxes the past 30 hour travel weekend.... well done.
This ferry was thought out by someone who travels with little kids. You can tell by the pool, the kids play area, and the mascots at dinner. So smart because if you wear kids out and get them fed they sleep well and behave so the parents and other passengers will sleep too. That could be a thing to add to your series on traveling with kids: point out in the sites you stay what activities there are where you can let the kids play and get the extra energy out.

We stayed at the Opera Hotel, right next to the main train station in Oslo, and found it super easy to get to to airport from there. We also did the ferry from Stockholm to Helsinki overnight, on the Silja Symphony
Great video! By your clues plus the geography of where you're headed from the ferry... I'd bet a Bill....und maybe two.... as to whre you're going next.... Love Denmark as a country, hope you had a fantastic adventure!

Thats why we were so surprsied! we've done ferries before and they were not so suped up like this one! Hmm its hard - everyone has different levles of motion sickness! jess really refuses to take medicine when she doesnt have to!
We’ve done that cruise from CPH to Oslo a couple of times. We live in CPH so it’s not hard to do that for a weekend. Copenhagens has lots of playgrounds (legeplads). We were on level 5 on our most recent trip and we preferred it to a lower deck. We’ve always done it in cabins without windows. I’m not so much of a fan of the lack of window but actually once you’re in your cabin and you’re trying to get kids to bed it’s a little easier lol. I think we were on the other ship on the route because I don’t remember the pool and the kids area being that nice lol.
Around midnight I think it calms down because you’re then coming down the east coast of Denmark rather than the “open” sea. There’s a brief stop in Frederikshavn and then it carries onto Copenhagen.
The bridge is called Storbæltbro (Big belt bridge) and that goes from Sjælland (the bit Copenhagen is on) to Fyn. You then go over a second bridge called Lillebæltsbro. (Little Belt bridge) (after going past a town called Middelfart 🤣

Next stop Lego land. And thank you for showing me the inside of the boat. I did not exspect it to be so nice. It passes by my every morning and about 4 pm, every day. And one day I said I am never going on that ferry, when I can hear so loud music from that boat here on my property. But you made me think that maybe is is ok anyway. Couse I heard no loud music on your video. You are a very nice and positive family. And woow 1 ,25 million subscribers.
Okay, new bucket list item! I get really seasick so I've avoided Cruises and Ferries (literally got sick on the one time I took the Staten Island Ferry in NY) But this seems like something I could manage! (No it's not just for the food 😇🤪)
It’s set in a forest, not far from Lego Land, lots of swings of all sizes, tree houses with suspension bridges, water rides, zip lines, arts and crafts. Well worth it…
Oh wow! Honestly after almost travelling full time for 10 years and spending 1000s of nights in beds we’ve surprisingly only ever had bed bugs once and it happened like 1 week after this 😂

I don't know if that's the cheapest. Me and me friend got a cabin between Oslo and Copenhagen for 25 euro each, and that included the return ticket, and we got 25 euro vouchers for the tax free on the ship so as long as we spent them the room was in a way free. They did offers like that sometimes because they made most their money from the tax free, so they would put thouse vouchers in magazines only boomers read. We got them from me nan. A proper harry ferry. ("Harry" being a Norwegian word meaning 'tacky'.)

the Express train takes the same time has the normal train too oslo S btw
Next stop Lego land. And thank you for showing me the inside of the boat. I did not exspect it to be so nice. It passes by my every morning and about 4 pm, every day. And one day I said I am never going on that ferry, when I can hear so loud music from that boat here on my property. But you made me think that maybe is is ok anyway. Couse I heard no loud music on your video. You are a very nice and positive family. And woow 1 ,25 million subscribers.
I know right? from the outside it looks quite drab but inside was amazing - super impressed with the ferry we caught!
Wow that's definitely a "mini cruise" how fun ❤ loved this one guys.
Super fun way to get to another country
Okay, new bucket list item! I get really seasick so I've avoided Cruises and Ferries (literally got sick on the one time I took the Staten Island Ferry in NY) But this seems like something I could manage! (No it's not just for the food 😇🤪)
haha aww its 100% for the food ;-)
Like the video. However, just a clarification. They are not hay "barrels" they are hay bales.
Assuming you’re going to Lego Land or Wow Land.
I took my niece to both over July, so fun.
oooh whats Wow land?
It’s set in a forest, not far from Lego Land, lots of swings of all sizes, tree houses with suspension bridges, water rides, zip lines, arts and crafts.
Well worth it…
Correction it’s Wow Park.

Thank you 😊 we love em
Im surprised all the travel vloggers never check the beds for bed bugs my parents ALWAYS checked when we traveled when I was younger!
Oh wow! Honestly after almost travelling full time for 10 years and spending 1000s of nights in beds we’ve surprisingly only ever had bed bugs once and it happened like 1 week after this 😂
@@flyingthenestOh no! I'm sorry to hear that. Those things suck and are hard to get rid of. I love watching your videos God bless u and ur family maybe a shout-out in the next video? That would be super cool. I'm from Pueblo Colorado my name Shakira Villegas. Sh / uhh / k / ie / ra (ie letter I) last name V / egg / us closest way i can put it lol
Jess and food = funny as....Gnocchi???? she's gone (my favorite too)
Def Legoland, you say for the kids but I bet ya'll are just as keen 🤣
