- When I was at the Salvage Auction with Rich Rebuilds, I held back some of the best lots we saw as I wanted to bid on and buy them. I bid on and won 2 Porsche's, one was a Porsche 911 the other a Cayman S. We also saw a Tesla Model X, and a pair of BMW 7 Series! I'll also tell you how much each car sold for.

I remember someone bought a Porsche Turbo newer one and he paid 2 grand literally and all It needed was transmission fluid. Somehow some seal leaked and they thought it needed a whole new Transmission. I'm guessing they hit the undercarriage or something. He put fresh oem fluid and it ran right away after doing some clearing. Best deal of a lifetime

This was a cool video w/the reasons for the how & why you pick the cars you bid on...makes a lot of sense to check into the car's history. And the deal you've got going to support a charity & save a few bucks on a electric scooter is pretty decent too. Way to go, Sam!
Really like these videos Sam, I used to freight cars to and from auctions back in the 90s on an 11 car transporter, glad i don't do it these days as there's far more none runners than back when cars were mainly mechanical.

Maybe that porsche was a theft recovery, and the recovery happened so far after it had been stolen that they sold it to the auction to recover the cash paid out on it?

I used to buy cars with problems, fix them, drive for few weeks and sell them. Granted , making around $1K profit was most of the time the target. I don't do this anymore, but one of these days you are going to convince me to go back and perhaps stretch to one of these high end machines. Love these kind of videos, makes me think on getting back into the game.

I love this format. Seeing the cars at the auction yard, and not knowing their final price is a partial story. Following them through the whole process feels more satisfying.
Years ago I drove a parking lot had my license to buy for dealers Fort Lauderdale New Jersey Texas damn I bought a lot of junk I made commission for the auction I made commission for hauling the cars too many hours made a lot of money used to B flat cars for Michigan I forget 16 on my trailer I got paid a lot of money for the VIN tags

Samcrac you come across some really cool finds and I enjoy your explanations and reasonings.
The sour grapes we're going to disable features like supercharge or 75 min to 8-10 hours if low is a deal breaker. If a company of a traditional engine had a practice like this they would either change or be out of business. Imagine Gm downloading an update automatically no ability to deny access. One which caused your car to take 30 minutes vs 3 to fill with gas.

My salvage auction etiquette: I remove the tape regularly. No way will I bid on a car without a full understanding of its underlying condition and the only way to gauge that is by opening doors, hoods and trunk/hatch lids.

There's a couple of flood damage AMG's on Copart over here in the U.K that would make for a great UA-cam series.

Sam I cannot believe it. I was just about to order a electric scooter for my niece. Like I was supposed to order it yesterday but I got sidetracked. I am glad I did. I was about to have to order a cheaper model from x hover for $300. But now I just ordered the Segway from them about 5 min ago. BTW with discount it's around $360. For a $880 scooter. Thanks. She Is going to love it.

911s can be ordered with deck lid lettering of 'Carerra', '911' or deleted.
Quite common for a new buyer to choose 911 over the standard Carerra option.
Remember, when buying a new 911,you order your car, you don't buy it off the floor.

Definitely learned a thing or three on this video. Having gone through a totaling of my 2014 Suburban Z71 67k miles last February2019, finally settled with insurance in June 2020. I wanted the vehicle repaired @ $16k and they said no and the battle was on. Vehicle was maxed out with options and worth the amount to fix but they wouldn't come around. I finally got a fair settlement and settled.

Always enjoy your videos Sam. You have amazing cars at your salvage yards. Our Copart’s are very different and sadly you don’t have the freedom to walk around. You have to book and go round with a guide you only get to look at 3 cars normally in your time allotted time

When buying those scooters buy the extended warranty. My friend is on his 5th scooter in 7 months because they break every other week. And one even broke right out of the box
