No matter how the second part turns out, I would like to send my warmest regards and kudos to the devs of the first Remnant. It's such an underrated gem. Not enough people know about the true depth of this game.
It felt like a good proof of concept, but these sorts of games always have the unfortunate life of being forever compared to Dark Souls, at least for me, because there's always something these games do worse than Souls.
It was a good time up until the end game boss fight. It's like they didn't test it before release because it was literally unbeatable. I'm a veteran souls player but Remnant was broken.
This was one of the things I enjoyed about the first game. While not nearly as complex as Remnant 2, the game just had a fresh feel to it from a conceptual standpoint. Like the desert biome being home to skull wearing monsters with tusks for arms, only to then find the inside of what looked like alien architecture with eyeless guards
I really enjoyed the first one. I didn't make it far since I played solo. I'm glad to see much of those issues have been resolved, and I look forward to playing this one!
I enjoyed the first until the first boss and it hit me through a wall. I was like, 'ah ok, cool.' and lost interest. Should probably try it again sometime.
as someone who loved the first one, but had a few complaints about it, 2 has not only fixed what problems I had with the first one, it has made everything else better too. They really listened to all of the player complaints and fixed all of them. The bosses and their minion spawns were my biggest complaint in 1. In 2 the bosses are the coolest thing. theres a lot less of the minion spawn in boss fights, and the ones with minion spawn feel like it was intended instead of just tacked on to a big smashy monster boss who shouldn't need any.
Remnant 2 is one of the only games where I took notice of how amazing the music is. Normally music is irrelevant to me unless it is annoying. The music for Remnant 2 isn’t annoying or distracting. It is atmospheric and relevant to what is happening in game. This is probably the only time I will praise the music of a game but R2 deserves props in the music department for sure!
@@silverdirtgamer3390 or maybe the devs are just lazy and not putting enough work in like they used too, even the 4090 is struggling at 60fps max, that tells me this game is very unoptimised!
Skimmed the polygon review to see what they'd say. It's bad because it's post apocalyptic (they don't like that setting...), the series is ripping off returnal, and while they didn't play the first one, pointed out what they didn't like about it and was upset they didn't understand the story. Also bosses, enemies and traversing the world blow, apparently. Time for the real review lol. One of the sadly few trustworthy reviewer's, thanks man. I've been waiting for this game ever since playing the first one. So much potential and I can't wait to actually play some multiplayer now that the game is more widely seen.
I was really worried we would never see a Remnant 2 since it had such a lukewarm response. I'm so glad we got a sequel and I'm so glad its a million times better than the first one and I love that its blowing up. They deserve it. Now I need a Remnant 3!
In some ways it was easier solo, in some ways not so much. But very doable solo without a doubt. I’m doing a solo run first to see what I get in the campaign and then I’ll do whatever after that
@@georgen5882 I'm getting PTSD from trying to do unclean one alternate fight in multi with everybody instantly dying and having to try to solo with multiplayer scaling. (I'd already beat him a number of times both ways but I think a lot of rando players online didn't understand the alt fight)
What did you find as an issue for solo play? I played through earth in co op. But then did my own run solo from start to finish(a few times) Only section I found more difficult solo specifically was the rogue like mode specifically.
Volumetric fog is notoriously hard on performance. You can usually reduce the quality on it quite a bit to get back quite a bit of FPS without it having the quanlity of the effect drop so much that it's really noticable.
@@ACGreviews Gotcha, yeah that's tricky then. Hopefully they can figure out some way to optimize it further while maintaining the gameplay experience/atmosphere they were going for!
If the shooting in this game feels cleaner than the first then this is a DAMN good game. The shooting in the first game is the only game that comes even a smidge close to how good Destiny feels.
I literally started the first Remnant last month and it blew me away. Finished it a couple of days ago and I decided it’s in my Top 10 of all time. Though I saw it more similar to Enter the Gungeon than Dark Souls.
I played through the first Remnant with two friends and while i was excited, there were things about it that didn't sit right with me. The gunplay and combat felt strange but idk why, and it seemed like i couldn't tell when i was taking damage cause when i died it was always unexpected. I'm excited to see that the full user experience has been upgraded.
Please be good. Please be good. Please be good. The first was a super surprising hit for me, I pre-ordered this against my better judgement of pre-orders so I really hope you are on board with this.
The sequel seems like a huge improvement, addressing the issues I had with the first one (which was still an amazing coop game). I am very excited for this! 💜
Thanks for the review! Sounds great, will probably wait for a sale since it's so packed the coming weeks. Glad you mentioned the solo play, I tried hard to get into the first game but the solo experience sucked
I purchased it last week but had no idea you had to purchase the third version for $74 on steam to be able to play early. Just played it for about 80 hours and gross. The game looks horrible and the characters and all is janky. You have to head to certian spots when you enter the first town and the game doesn't point you to where you need to go which is so stupid. Once I finally figured everything out which didn't take long anyways because it's such a small town, I went back to speak to the elder guy and we went to some souls like portion of the game which makes no damn sense to me at all because they just throw you in the wannbe soul's like world with no health so you are killed upon killed with no health to used or health dropped. I had to ask myself, "What the hell is this game supposed to be?" I'm deciding to check out some walkthroughs here on UA-cam because if the game is continously like this I'm going to get a refund back. It's onl $54 anyways and I just seen why. It's completely garbage to me. I swore everything was going to continue to be the way it was when you first start and fight th first boss but instead it feels janky as I said because it's like the game doesn't know what it wants to be.

Traditionally think you make some great videos. Just noticed an issue with this video. I work with vocals too being a music artist and noticed that there appears to be pretty major audio clipping present. To me it sounds like a “noise remover/reducer” with the setting dialed to the max. Or you’re trimming the audio segments too close. When watching this video the first few letters to the start of a sentence are cut off. So instead of hearing the word “that” for instance, it would sound like “at”. Made watching this video a little tough. Perhaps as a suggestion, you could dial back that setting and I’m sure it would sound like the older videos you’ve made and be much clearer without audio clipping when you speak. Just some food for thought ✌🏻
Don’t think I’ve ever commented, but have been watching for a long while. Just wanna say I appreciate all you do with the reviews. You’re really the only one I trust at this point.
There is a Prologue bug where Cass will not walk to the second door to open it. So you have to restart the entire prologue over again. It happened to me twice in a row, it's game breaking. Too many infinite spawning adds that will spawn all around you that all have homing ranged attacks. Alot of flying creatures will fly directly above you so you cannot see or hit them since you cannot aim straight up. Cannot upgrade armor anymore for the higher difficulties. The first difficulty is kinda easy. so I play on the next difficulty, but the leap is vast and it seems to take cheapo shots constantly for a solo player. I am often fighting 4-5 of the Elite enemies at once, while adds with homing attacks also spawn around them. Many of the bosses can hold their attacks, and have combos that stun lock you to death if you mess up. Takes more time to use your relic. Traits are extremely trimmed down. There is also a root smoke coughing bug, where sometimes if you get in a root rot cloud, even though you didn't contract root rot, you will cough constantly like you are in the gas still, you are incapable of walking or shooting more than 1 shot at a time, and have to restart , or roll to a checkpoint and sit at it, or go to a new area, to reset it. There will be special sub boss type enemies with their own healthbar at the top of the screen who will summon adds and even multiple Elite enemies while you fight them and they teleport around firing off AOES, while enemies fire at you with homing shots. The game seems to be designs with Multiplayer strictly in mind. Solo it feels like a nightmare in certain worlds / maps / dungeons.
So haven't heard anyone mention it yet. A problem in the first one was the way scaling worked. If you upgraded your weapons and armor, the enemies would just scale to your highest upgraded gear. Making upgrading actually a bad idea unless you upgraded everything at once to the same level. Did they fix this scaling issue in the 2nd one?
Whatever they did for sure is less of an issue here. You do notice some kind of bump, but we were able to go back tons of times and upgrade 1, 2 or maybe 3 parts and go back and still keep going without a huge issue. NOW that being said, of course there is scaling in some ways so that when going back through areas enemies continue to challenge.
@@ACGreviews Yea if you still have access to the game the way you could test it is fighting a newly spawned enemy in an area with your gun, count how many shots it takes to kill it. Upgrade your gun 1 level, then reroll the area (can just use adventure mode if needed) and see if it takes less shots or the same to kill it. If it takes the same, then the scaling issue is still an issue. (In the first game the enemy HP would just increase to compensate for any dmg increase your guns got which mean upgrading did almost nothing lol, in fact it could make the game harder if you didn't upgrade everything at once) Oh and it has to be your highest upgraded weapon.
@@nokturnallex2160the scaling isn’t as much weapons damage as it is so much their ability to still slap you weapon damage stay about the same through the game but the scaling is based off your character level not upgrades
What I really enjoyed in the first game was the alternate boss kills you could do on most bosses that also impacted what item they dropped. Does this return in this game as well?
One of my biggest gripes with Remnant from the ashes was that s and projectile creation were influenced by your latency. This meant that you had to dodge preemptively according to your ping, and had to lead your targets when they were moving. Is this still a problem in remnant 2? It made dodge builds extremely hard to use online in the first game
Just want to say I hope the videos good I came here to give you a boost on your analytics, however I've already invested in the ultimate edition I have over 170 hours in the first game so sadly I can't watch your video till after I play the game, i want to go into it with as little info as I can
The only review that matters. I tried the first one. I seen a ton of potential but it wasn't for me. I don't have a many gamer friends and solo play was frustrating.
Definitely viable. Feels a good bit better than the first. Some weapons still a bit clunky but might be more a factor of weapon class. There's definitely more support for it and the average enemy seems to be balanced more with melee in mind. Most of them actually give you the space to land the first hit and not eat a nasty trade for it. Remnant 1 melee was entirely viable, but making a melee focused build really needed you to dedicate most of your equipment and talents towards it. I did a full nightmare run solo with a melee build. Not exclusively melee, since there's a few bosses you outright can't melee. But played it more like the inverse of a normal build. where ranged weapons were the backup and support. Remnant 2 gives you a lot more resources to specialize in melee in a variety of ways, and still have space to add other tricks to your build. So I'd say it's in a much better place this game.
Not looking forward to a lot of games this year. But this one? This one is at the top of my list. I heard if I like the first one, then I'll enjoy it. That's allllllll I needed.
Loving the look of the game so far, but enemy density is looking really weak from this, does anyone know if it's bound to which difficulty you play on or?
Maxed out two characters in the first game. It changed and improved dramatically with many patches and DLC over the years, I expect this one will too. Tough competition these next couple months, I hope people give this a chance
No BS? Like at 5:10 when he selects Nightmare difficulty, shows the loading screen for nightmare difficulty and then the very next game footage the difficulty icon is set to easiest difficulty. That kind of no BS?
@@johnzander9990Such a bizzare and irrelevant thing to take issue with. Dunno if you understand basic language conventions but "no BS" does not mean "uses more than one difficulty setting".
Our gaming group is finding some problems with it. Getting stuck on a checkpoint crystal while in a group and not being able to exit it is one. The map not uncovering for everyone in the group and staying that way the next session is another. The difficulty balance in groups when in Survivor mode seems a bit high...almost equal to the next difficulty up. The feeling of not accomplishing much in the story or keeping up with storyline beyond what everyone spouts out in the town in excessive dialogue is a bit annoying. Other than that, it's kind of fun for a while and gets more fun as your character gets a little more powerful. It sure is hard to play in rando groups though as people go in 2 separate directions, won't go 5 paces to the stone to bring someone in, or just run off away from you as fast as possible not caring if you keep up or not. I swear there are some spastic, selfish players...and some that are not and make good groups. I wish there was some sort of chat option on console to coordinate things.
@@ACGreviews Your reviews saved my wallet so many times. thanks man. Loved the 1st one looking forward to this one if solo game is as good as you say.. imma trust you. :)
At 1:26 Karak mentions that you unlock the Archetype for the Gunslinger later in game. This has been one thing that’s been stuck on my mind for character creation! How long into the game do you unlock this? Is it like the other starting archetypes where you’ll be able to get them early on?
@@RJaime869 The starter archetype choices can be purchased in the hub area. The non-starter ones have to be discovered out in the world. This game also has a lot more hidden rewards for doing more difficult things or solving entirely optional puzzles. So I feel pretty confident that you could go for a while without discovering a non-starter archetype, just due to rng or from missing it.
Thank you for mentioning how solo play felt. I was just saying to myself that it looked fun but I don't know anyone else who is even thinking about this game, and your comment assured me it wouldn't be an issue.
Was going to preorder for early access but all I'm seeing on reddit and steam forums is performance issues and the game running like crap which besides ACG none of the early reviewers seemed to mention it that I recall, so I'm apprehensive.
I just recently purchased a PS5 and completed God of War Ragnarok 100% complete. I loved the storyline, the graphics, and the game. This is the only game I own, and I am looking to purchase more games. I quit Warcraft because of the aimlessly farming and grinding and cash to play. The game got old and felt like a constant grind and farm machine with no end. I was debating on purchasing Diablo 4 ( I've read D4 is a cash grab and aimlessly farming, no clue) Witcher 3, Lies of P, Elden Ring, Ghost of Tsushima, Jedi Survivor, and Baldurs Gate.. Any suggestions, and is Playstation Plus mandatory or worth it? Is this game an endless grind with no end game?
Hey, how will coop work if i start before my friend? Will it be better to start a new character with my friend or wait to play with him? I'm gonna start with the head start
Looks like post-apocalyptic + fantasy 3rd person shooter/ dungeon crawler... is that about accurate? Idk how to feel about the aesthetic but I'm intrigued for the most part
I have been watching your videos for a while now and I think one thing that I really like that sets your video reviews apart is the sound and voice portions. Not too many people go as in depth as you and I was wondering what your background is that allows you to speak so clearly and paint a picture for me of what it is that I am hearing but have a hard time articulating. You are awesome keep doing what you do. Thanks for a stellar review once again. Hoping there is a Pikmin 4 breakdown soon :)
Loved this review. Glad you told me that people can walk in your game and you can go into other people's game. I really wanna play this, and i feel like its only really fun when you play with friends
Oh man, really love the first ones. I can't wait to wait to play the sequel. It really is one of the most underrated games, I hope the sequel get a lot more attention and success.
Pre-loaded and ready to go! Probably should have waited to see what performance is like on my Xbox series X first though. Hoping it runs at 60fps. Just finished off the first one after going back to it, bounced off it when I ran into a boss I couldn't figure out how to defeat. This time I had a blast trying different weapons and mods looking for the best combo against each boss.
I tried to get into the first and couldn't, always felt designed for co-op instead of solo, hoping that this one will be a more playable solo experience
I really wanted to like the first one but couldn’t play solo. With my schedule I play most things solo, so this one has me optimistic. I may have to give it a go!
I had a miserable time with the first game right until I unlocked the ability to summon a pet. Later in the game you can get other pet summon abilities and eventually spec into a summon-focused build, and once I had that the game became a lot more fun as a solo player. It looks like they've addressed this in the sequel with one of the starter classes coming with a dog, I'm already optimistic about just that.
@@Phillipmurr no idea. I’ve only played like 2 hours since it came out. That patch is irrelevant to how much content the games have though. No idea why you’re having such maniacal fun over such a childish thing.
I enjoyed the first game. However, it just simply wasn't balanced for solo play, which seems to have been remedied in the sequel. The foundation was solid the first time around, but there were some much needed improvements. Small issues are still prevalent in Remnant II. However, it's much better as a whole. $70 for an already content filled game, including DLC and various armor for the Ultimate Edition makes Remnant II a must buy as far as I'm concerned. Thanks, Karak! As always, I appreciate the honest, unbiased, and detailed review! Keep it up! God bless and stay safe!
I always come here first, your reviews are the best out there. It's been that way for years too. We appreciate you man, your style is exactly what this industry needs.
I forgot to ask when I saw the review earlier, do you happen to know if the review copy had anything fixed generated content? Like will every review see the same things?
That dodge the mobs do gives me ptsd from remnant 1 lol... On a side note, I'm really disappointed they've included a whole ass class or really anything beyond cosmetics for a pre order bonus.... seems really scummy now that they've got some hype behind their name/game.
I hope this game is able to cultivate a larger modding community. The mods for the first game were a ton of fun and I hope to see more and more ambitious mods for this game.
I got scammed on epic game launcher. Paid for ultimate edition No armor skin sets No gunslinger Basically got the basic game. Don't get me wrong huge fan. Love the game. Just disappointed paid all that money. Should've just bought the basic game
The first one was a surprise hit for me and I discovered it about a year late. Still one of my favourite coop experiences. Will buy Remnant II without any hesitation.
This is an incredible review. Just your appreciation for the sound design and music sold me enough, a detail that MANY other reviews will gloss over or not even mention. I already had this pre-ordered a week or so ago and the more I see, the more excited I become, especially since I wasn't totally sold with Remnant 1 because the game felt a bit limited and claustrophobic in some areas. But now it seems like EVERYTHING has opened up and the worlds are SO DETAILED! Plus, the classes / archetypes are so much better defined and exciting now that I want to try all types of combinations and builds! It's almost like a brand new game series at points. Just an incredible sequel by Gunfire Games. These guys really made a sequel that shines so bright over the original and THIS is what a true sequel should do in its improvements and quality of life changes.
Your reviews are by far the best on UA-cam. I only watch 2 channels for their reviews that I trust, and yours is one of them. Great job, and keep up the fantastic content.
I am definitely getting this game after hearing so many great feedbacks! I was going to get Diablo 4, but that gotta wait 😂 I am getting Remnant 2!!! The fact that This game is selling at $50 dollars with a 20-30 hour campaign in coop is huge! And if anyone notice that this game also is releasing with a physical edition in stores, it will make you question 👀 Remedy Studios decision to make Alan Wake 2, online only purchase for $60 bucks! Hmmm 🤔 then how did these developers ☝️ manage to get this high quality game as low as $50 dollars both online and physical disc, but Remedy can’t for Alan Wake 2!!!! Someone got some explaining to do 🙃
Thats bs... Got you subscribed with black bell (forever) and had to manually search for this review. Never show up for the last 6 days in my subscriptions... Great review btw! Thanx man!
Does the game still scale enemies/worlds to your highest gear level, regardless of if you're actually using them or not? Making experimenting almost impossible at later levels, since you had to level gear to max before they were usable anywhere.
Game looks good and glad to see its decently polished seeing how so many games this year haven't been. Can't wait to give this one a shot keep up the great reviews.
Great review ACG! I have one question if you can answer it. I feel that Remnant 1 had fantastic build variety and tons upon tons of different playstyles based on armor effect and whatnot. So it was so annoying not having some sort of load out system to easily hop between builds and instead having to go through 50 amulets and 50 rings in order to change build. So, does Remnant 2 have load outs? Keep up the great work man!
Unfortunately no. But they did make it a lot easier to switch things around. Stuff like mods and other socketables are selectable even if they're in another weapon. Just moving them over to your current one if you pick them. No more losing mods and having to find which weapon you need to strip it off of.
I got pretty bored of this after 15 hours, can't lie. Feels like the itemization and character progression is meaningless beyond obvious upgrading. Felt like all the rings and relic mods I was finding were pointless. Felt like I was never finding any new weapons or armor. The more I played, the less rewarding it felt.
for people who haven't played remnant before, if you're looking for a game with a strong story and a perfectly crafted world that tells a story, this isn't the game for you. if you want to play a soulslike with guns and none of the "return to your corpse or you lose stuff" BS, is made for coop, and highly replayable, this is the game for you. Both are 2 of my favorite coop games of all time, ESPECIALLY 2 with its new archetype system. The first one everyone was kinda generic and if you wanted to fill out a certain role you had to get the right armor and weapon mods. the stuff that benefitted a specific role have been moved to archetypes and so now you have a definted role from the start, you can unlock all the archetypes and have two and switch them on the fly. its great. No need to reroll a new character in the Remnant games, you can get everyone thing and keep it all on one character. remnant 2 does give you a tiny incentive to reroll a new character. if you have some friends who are just starting and you dont want to jump in with a maxed out character, you can start a new one as any of the archetypes you unlocked and they will start with the armor set tied to that class (that you may or may not have gotten when you got the archetype on your main) and a set of weapons, many of which are boss ones for the secret archetypes.
Loved the review, but the performance areas could be expanded on. 4k Ultra settings with literally nothing turned down and 90 fps is considered poor? 4k is still one of the more niche areas of PC Gaming. I would love to hear how it handles 1440p and the like.
Does it require a constant internet connection? Love the vids always ready to see what you think of the latest games but I definitely think you should add that into youre reviews if current games require internet or not. Living in the country sometimes difficult to play games that require those
Never thought I would enjoy the first game until I heard about it from my friend. We played coop so much and grinded on that game and never got bored with it. Im so hyped for this one to see the changes they made and enjoy playing this with friends!
Ever think of adding grammar under voice? you usually do, especially if it's egregious. However sometimes it's incessant, sometimes it's charm. had to give you a comment, you have a 99 percent track record. love your work.
Is the sprint still a Toggle key or did they finally add the option to have it as a Hold? I won't even consider this game if its still the old system of having to Toggle each time you want to sprint. I quit playing the 1st game because of this issue. Aside from that it was a great game and would have loved to continue playing it.
Hyped for this game and love that the full ultimate edition with all upcoming DLC and early release is only $70 when big studios are pumping out just vanilla annual roster updates for that same price. Great review! Appreciate the critiques that others aren’t mentioning with the annoying randomly generated side quests etc etc.
And the quality seems to surpass most of those big studio titles too. Sad to see how often these "smaller" games are often passed up for the next re-skinned COD or Assassin's Creed.
I don’t know, something about this series just doesn’t click for me. I like shooting, I like bosses, I like abilities and powers. My friend and I weren’t feeling the first game.

@@flyingplantwhale545 Looks way worse on switch than PC but that's to be expected also, still a good experience.
It’s on the switch?
I've been waiting for this game ever since playing the first one. So much potential and I can't wait to actually play some multiplayer now that the game is more widely seen.
Enjoy it chumpy
I was really worried we would never see a Remnant 2 since it had such a lukewarm response. I'm so glad we got a sequel and I'm so glad its a million times better than the first one and I love that its blowing up. They deserve it. Now I need a Remnant 3!
Loved the first game, and love your reviews. So detailed and well written
Much appreciated!
Great to hear they seemingly fixed the solo play. As a primarily single player, I couldn't get through the first game.
That's strange. I played through it solo before doing rando multi.
But then did my own run solo from start to finish(a few times)
Only section I found more difficult solo specifically was the rogue like mode specifically.
Yeah the first game was balanced terribly for solo play so these changes are very welcome
Volumetric fog is notoriously hard on performance. You can usually reduce the quality on it quite a bit to get back quite a bit of FPS without it having the quanlity of the effect drop so much that it's really noticable.
Yep normally but in this game its noticable as its used for make enemies a bit harder to hit
The procedural generation of maps is what turns me off of this game. It looks good but I just don't like procedurally generated dungeons or maps.
There are some implementations of motion blur that don't mix well with DLSS at all. I wonder if that could be why it looks the way it does
The reference about Vasili and 'Enemy at the Gates' makes me proud to be part of this channel and watch this review. A golden movie.
LOL we all watch great movies!
I smiled and nodded too at that reference. When you know you know.
Thanks big time for watching!
I hope this does carry over. It added some variety to the gameplay.
So excited to play this, finishing off the first remnant game before I move on to this
Jealous you get to experience it for the first time. One my fav games in recent years.
Ya this improves on the first
@@ACGreviewsnice to hear then. Only thing which mostly was frustrating for me is balance for solo
How does the melee combat feel? I was really interested in this part of the sequel. Is a melee build viable? Enough options for weapons there?
Its fun
BUDDAAAYYY!!! Fancy seeing you here, how ya been?
100%. Having gotten my hands on the game, this is a proper sequel. Improvements all over the place, and still keeps what make Remnant 1 great.
Loving the look of the game so far, but enemy density is looking really weak from this, does anyone know if it's bound to which difficulty you play on or?
There are tons of places with a boatload of enemies. But some things we can't show due to nda too. But in trailers even they show it
Maxed out two characters in the first game. It changed and improved dramatically with many patches and DLC over the years, I expect this one will too. Tough competition these next couple months, I hope people give this a chance
Damn thats alot
Just bought it.
Sorry, armored core 6 is all that matters
Does this have matchmaking? Or is the coop invite only?
You're my go-to person for no bs game reviews.
No BS? Like at 5:10 when he selects Nightmare difficulty, shows the loading screen for nightmare difficulty and then the very next game footage the difficulty icon is set to easiest difficulty. That kind of no BS?

After the Sad Redfall launch, excited to get a good co-op shooter.

At 1:26 Karak mentions that you unlock the Archetype for the Gunslinger later in game. This has been one thing that’s been stuck on my mind for character creation! How long into the game do you unlock this? Is it like the other starting archetypes where you’ll be able to get them early on?
It's early but i think it has a little RNG involved since the devs says no 2 playthroughs will be the same
@@xPetyr so as far as you know, it’s not like obtaining the other starting archetypes?
Masterpiece. By far the best 3P shooter out there. Loved the first but 2 will give me endless fun. Kinda like Nioh 2 after Nioh 🎉🎉
Shooting feels better!? Impossible! It was already the absolute best 3:rd person shooter guns feeling.

It really is one of the most underrated games, I hope the sequel get a lot more attention and success.
Always great to see devs improving like that. Game seems like a huge Upgrade to the first one.
also, good single player? yeah, now that got me interested, a boring solo was what kept me from the first
Procedural generation is almost always weak in games IMHO. Remnant 1 was a really fun game, but PG has just never done it for me personally.

Ya I hear ya. They are trying and it probably just needed...a more hands on approach once somethings generated to really give it a lived in feel

Where's the music previews? It was amped up so much and didn't get to hear any of it:(
I really wanted to like the first one but couldn’t play solo.
@@Jenohart hell yeah, that sounds awesome. Yeah it sounds like they did address it.

Was partying up with friends any issue? Me and my mate got the first one but struggled so hard to connect to each others game we just gave up
no I discuss that in the review. i had like 20+ hours when I started the review, just in multt
I hope this game is able to cultivate a larger modding community. The mods for the first game were a ton of fun and I hope to see more and more ambitious mods for this game.
Oh good point man!
That audio sample at 20:05 sounded virtually identical to a certain *_Mass Effect_* track...
Absolutely adored the first game. Any fellow Lever-Action Rifle mains?
That weapon stayed in my rotation the whole game lol
I got scammed on epic game launcher. Paid for ultimate edition
No armor skin sets
No gunslinger
Basically got the basic game.
The performance is bad, the stuttering in menus, in cinematics and in combat is very bad, the frame stability needs a lot of work.
Thanx man!
Can you have three Handlers on a team in coop?
Can I play this by myself? I felt like the first Remnant was very hard to play alone.
Is adventure mode available in all worlds this time or is some of that fenced off for DLC again?
Does the game still scale enemies/worlds to your highest gear level, regardless of if you're actually using them or not? Making experimenting almost impossible at later levels, since you had to level gear to max before they were usable anywhere.
Can you still choose your character model like in remnant 1?
The Excalibur Casino reference made me laugh. Very awesome review!
Game looks good and glad to see its decently polished seeing how so many games this year haven't been. Can't wait to give this one a shot keep up the great reviews.
At the end of the day, theres no one i trust more than acg. Glad to see its worth the preorder i had done.
I will NEVER forget the first time I heard the menu music in Remnant 1. It is seriously a beautiful song.
Will this work on steam deck?
Yes it will.
Thanks for an objective review. Most reviews of this game I've watched didn't mention any problems at all
Been looking forward to this review! Nice one ACG! Looking forward to jumping in over the weekend!
Hope you enjoy it!
The more I played, the less rewarding it felt.
its not a looter shooter its a souls like with guns it not gonna give you "new" weapons every 5 seconds like destiny
for people who haven't played remnant before, if you're looking for a game with a strong story and a perfectly crafted world that tells a story, this isn't the game for you.
if you want to play a soulslike with guns and none of the "return to your corpse or you lose stuff" BS, is made for coop, and highly replayable, this is the game for you.
This is the first ACG video to pop up in my subscriptions since probably March and Im on youtube everyday. Thats whack! I got some catchin up to do!
I don’t know, something about this series just doesn’t click for me. I like shooting, I like bosses, I like abilities and powers. My friend and I weren’t feeling the first game.
