Your classes are helping me to curing my anxiety and depression, after your lecture i find myself relief all the thoughts are gone from head. I am watching two lectures per day i might not become a good artist but i will definitely cure my anxiety and depression. Thank you very much
I just wanted to say I super appreciate you keeping these videos free!! I'm 28 and haven't picked up drawing since I was 17. I used to draw and doodle all the time (never anything good though). I've always had this dream of making my own graphic novel. I write stories, but I'm more visual and always wanted to take what I saw in my head and put it on paper. I had this mindset that if I wasn't "born with a drawing talent" that I couldn't do it. Suddenly I had the urge to learn after watching Marco Bucci's video on youtube about how he couldn't draw, even applied to art school with horrible drawings, but years later with practice, he's drawing for Disney! So after finding your videos on here, I've been consistently watching one everyday and practicing and I'm already seeing a huge improvement, just after a week!! You're the only one I've found that has really gone into detail about the fundamentals of art and has kept things free, and I really appreciate that. I hope with time, I can create great things.
Hey thanks!!! I’m sure you’re already creating great things with these new skills and your growing passion for art!!! Don’t ever stop or give up! Keep going!!! ❤️
Finding the subject matter very interesting and you teach it so well. I never enjoyed art like this at school. Looking forward to completing the other lessons. Thank you Michael.
Thank you so much writing such a generous compliment! I’m grateful to able to help artists like yourself. I wish you the best on your creative journey! ❤️
Just came to say you’re awesome!!! I’ve been trying to draw everyday again after many years of hesitation and frustration, and you’re probably the first that got me so hooked and excited to learn and practice again. your classes are fun, thorough and very easy to understand. Thank you for keeping these up!!❤
I'm back! After lesson 4 I was down in the dumps because my beginner's shading skills couldn't compare to professor's years of dedication and consistent efforts. I'm a recovering perfectionist so this is supposed to sound funny, by the way. Lesson 5 changed my way of thinking. Smiling at my wobbly lines made me feel so much better about the process because this is actually supposed to be fun. Of course my drawing is going to look "shabby" compared to what's on the screen. It's part of the process. I hope you all get into the habit of smiling at your lines too. It takes away from being so hard on yourself. Let's keep practicing while having fun^^
Crazy how I relate to this so much. I literally took a break from learning because I couldn't draw this amazing drawing in my head (I hvae very hyper imagination). I keep forgetting how fun his lessons are.
@@lightninqueen The struggle is so real!! I’m in the same boat! Do take as many breaks as you can and be kind to yourself :) Having a hyper active imagination is a good sign that you’re definitely meant to create art! Maybe right now you don’t need to put your full imagination to use but for sure as the lessons go on, you’ll be able to bring those amazing drawings in your mind to life someday. Keep going, you got this!!
fairylili,, don't give up, keep practicing, IMO, it's all levels of experience, some people can progress through the levels more quickly, others, like myself, takes forever---- keep on trying...
I've just come across your videos, and I'm enjoying this set of classes. I just am a beginner as a senior citizen (with benign familial tremor as an added difficulty). My grandson is also starting to draw, and I want to encourage him by participating myself. Thank you for your helpful tips on things like letting the pencil lightly do the shading rather than pushing down on it. I'm also using some art books purchased online to give me direction, and your teaching helps me understand the methods used in these books - basic shapes for the basis of drawing, shading adding depth of the form, etc. I also appreciate it very much that you are not charging for these classes.
Whoa, one point perspective is AWESOME!!!! Talk about upping your drawing game. Now I get it, when folks talk about depth, and shading. It's amazing in just a few lessons, already I have a sketchbook that is even inspiring me. So great to see the progression. I really liked learning this perspective and how it just makes everything POP and the concept just suddenly clicked. I have to think your excitement helps in us manifesting our success in such a short amount of time. I do like the sidelines and the tangents that occur, who cares if it takes extra time....We are creating ART! It's getting lost in the experience, and time just flies the perfect sort of meditation.
I wish I could donate, I love your classes so much. Through 5 episodes only and I can already see improvement. Thank you so much for teaching this class!
5th day, fell in love with this lesson. love how perspective makes a drawing better. I'm got a great idea about a drawing and I'll send it to you sir. Thank you for teaching us today sir.
I live here deserted from art couldn’t find any classes good informative js draw the bottle the box or idk which’s fun but I never felt growth in my hands my mind thank you for making these Vedios I can finally draw
I feel that the deliberate decision to move the cat off to one side would be a fruitless effort. If you move a cat into a position that you want him in so that you can draw him, he will disagree with you and move to wherever he darned well pleases. In fact, he will always move to wherever he darned well pleases. He's a cat. I think that the composition of this drawing demonstrates the struggle between the will of the artist versus the will of any average house cat. Kitty sits over there and you can either draw him over there or kitty lets you know that you can find another model for your art.
Secret City with Commander Mark!!!! Oh my god you just locked a looooong-lost childhood memory. "Draw draw draw, practice your drawings" he would say that over and over, and as a young kid, he was definitely my first art hero, but I could never remember his name. I had nothing to go on, and googling that phrase never got me anywhere, as you can imagine. So, immense thanks are in order, you've no idea!
The upside down finish 🤣🤣 You're a great teacher, it's very easy to understand such complicated notions with you. Thank you so much for such valuable knowledge 🌷💐

Watching from Nepal. Thank you for all these classes for free.
Thank you for another great class! At first my eyes were going crossed but once we started methodically drawing the guide lines and putting the picture together it made sense.
One point perspective always makes me think of the Infinity Room in the House on the Rock, which is a very freaky experience in more ways than one. ETA: Talks about Escher, then finishes the lesson with the camera upside-down. Awesome.
Found this class to be both interesting and difficult. I am someone who likes to have straight lines when i attempt drawing so leaving that at the door was a bit hard. I've been trying to understand perspective for a while and fund that your way of going about it helped significantly.
Mark, you'r such a good teacher i'm from Brasil, i'm now following your lesson, and it's have been so good. Thank you so much! and sorry for my bad english rsrs
Thank you so much! even though my drawing is no where compared to yours, I'm so happy at it and it put a big smile on my face. I feel like I'm really learning and not just copying other people techniques as I used to do. I used to look at a video of someone drawing and copy what he's doing without understanding where will these line produce at the end. Here I'm learning to draw my own lines:)))))) thank you so so much! I will surely donate when I complete my master's and find me a job in sha2 alla

Hi, I love your classes and I literally feel connected with them. I always feel anxious when I see the feedback part and I think my drawing is still not up to that level. And I find it hard to self-practice my art.
