    I love this guy's drawing classes. I have taken three introductory drawing classes at colleges and ateliers and I have not learned half as much as I have learned in just seven videos.

    I've always been scared of drawing by looking at something real but this made it so much easier and my drawings are so much better than i ever expected. Thank you so much for these!

    Great class today! I drew three dogs in today for the final assignment and they came out a little cartoony and with the last , I drew a stick figure and made it look like he’s riding into battle! It’s becoming slightly easier to see the basic shapes due to your instruction! 👍🏽

    Turns out my perception of Dachshund, "cylindrical dog", was perfect for this lesson! I just drew a cylinder and added the head and legs, lol.

    I completed a week of the course and I never felt so happy, even tough I can't see much improvement I am still hopefull and the way you talk about art made me think I'm not as bad as I tought, like you said, can't expect to bycicle for an hour then do the tour de' france. I actually took drawing because depression took away my creativity for writing, I must say that not only is helping but I also want to keep drawing, it's the first time in two years I'm able to do something for more then a week, thank you very much teacher and I hope to learn much more.

    It has been hard to follow up with the lessons since I had my preterm baby at home.. So, I tried doing it at midnight with the tablet instead.. I'm so shocked of my ability to draw both in pencil and tablet pen.. I thought it won't work with me.. However I still prefer PENCIL.. Can't handle not listening to the scratch sound 😂

    • @MarkowskyArt

      Congratulations on your little baby! Our daughter is 3 years old now (she was about 6 months old when I filmed this episode), and I totally understand the challenge of getting anything done between naps!
      As for drawing on a tablet vs paper, I agree that nothing can replace the feel of paper!!! Having said that, the “undo” button on a tablet can sure be useful!!!

    I did a pretty decent dog, and a couple of sketches of an eagle too... I think I can only mimic but when there is no lines to copy and follow, I draw like I used to in the kindergarten. I don't know if that makes me an artist or just a scam.

    Question: When you tell us to draw from the artists styles we love, so even if it is a drawing of a person, not just animals we should still try to draw them even though we haven't learnt how to draw people or humans yet? and In what way can we copy their art style to make new drawings of our owns? It's questions I didn't know how to answer for myself

    • @MarkowskyArt
      @MarkowskyArt Рік тому +2

      The previous episode (#7) in this course shows how to draw animals using basic shapes, and that leads directly into this one. That’s a good place to start if you don’t want to start at the very beginning: m.ua-cam.com/users/liveso6A4LmUO7c Episodes #11 though #38 are all about how to draw people. Check them out and then you can come back to this one! ❤️

      @@MarkowskyArt One more question I promise, do we need to follow each video or we can skip to what we want to learn as of the time we want to learn it?

    • @rababkarim7469
      @rababkarim7469 9 місяців тому

      I recommend you to watch all of them, u can even fastforward it but the techniques in each lessons are helpful when taken as a whole and applied in one drawing. he has a separate lesson on shading another on perspective another on practicing drawing upside down and perfecting a line, and another on different shapes and positioning. Now when I draw any drawing, I try to have good shading, a good perspective, the shaping technique sometimes helps perfect the final shape of whatever. so, i would recommend all classes as they build up a good foundation@@jonrex0304

      Hi Lesley, thanks for the feedback. I recorded the drawing course videos in April/May 2020, at the height of the pandemic. I was limited by the technology I could get my hands on while the world was shut down, and I was still figuring things out. I'm sorry that the audio quality isn't perfect. I never expected hundreds of thousands of people to want to watch them! Unfortunately there is nothing I can do about it. Have a wonderful day and thanks for watching!
