I love your classes not only because you are good at teaching drawing to beginners like me, but also you teach us not to self-criticize our art so much and enjoy the process. (I loved the idea of putting a funny hat on a drawing that I am not satisfied with and laugh at it :)

Here we are at class #7, and on this day.....we created WHAT??? I had to laugh at the beginning, as I am that guy who has always left it to a single house in an open field. Getting into all this drawing is CRAZY!!! Today, YOU had us making all sorts of things, and they actually....for the FIRST time ever drawing things like this,... They actually don't look as bad as I had imagined. So there is something to this STICKING with it, along with your teaching method. You make it engaging and keep us on our toes.
I have more to work on to fully grasp some things in the animal world, though I agree with you, being able to take a blank piece of paper and then create something in 20-30 minutes is really a spellbinding thing to be witness to. To see OUR own creation. I also appreciate watching myself grow into different areas and finally being able to see all the things an ARTIST eye looks for when making a drawing.
I have really enjoyed these classes and really look forward to taking the time each day to commit to expanding my journey into learning. I so much appreciate being able to have the opportunity to challenge myself in new arenas. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge, I know it's appreciated even if everyone doesn't leave a comment.

Hello @MarkowskyArt. this was an awesome lesson. I am so glad I found your channel and so far I am seeing a great improvement to my art. This was my first time drawing animals and I think I did a great job thanks to your amazing teaching method. With only 7 lessons I have learned more than I have ever in an art class. Thank you very much.

Michael I have been trying to paint for years but my drawing limits me from making my own art so I copy others. I know I should learn to draw if I want to progress but the thought of drawing makes my teeth cringe. I have avoided it like the plague. I worked supporting parents with kids 5 and under. I was at a learning workshop that asked us to draw a picture of our last vacation. After it was pointed out that how you drew is a reflection of when you stopped drawing as a child. Mine were stick figures. Thank you for showing me how to go beyond stick figures. If I can get my teeth to stop cringing I'm going to try this. I'll remind myself to relax and breathe. Wish me luck...

Hi Laurie! I’m sooo excited that you are giving it another shot! I believe learning the basics of drawing should be a required cornerstone of every child’s education. Our view of the world changes when we learn that through drawing we can take control with our own hands and create a different version of reality! And it’s with each of everyone! Keep at it! Don’t give up! Every journey has challenges that must be overcome or embraced in order for us to achieve true satisfaction and gratitude. This is your challenge! Great things await you on the other side of this arduous mountain pass!

@Laurie K. Good luck Laurie! I have a feeling that improving your drawing skills won’t be anywhere near as cringey and difficult as you think! Once you get moving with it I think you’ll see progress pretty fast and be motivated to keep going. I’m also trying to improve my drawing and painting skills, and know the cringe feeling all too well! Have wanted to throw a lot of my work out of a window it’s so frustrating when it doesn’t go to plan lol! BUT! We’re all in this together and I’m sure we will all come thru this more knowledgeable, more skilled and proficient artists! And I reckon we’ll have some fun on the way!
Sending you lots of positive artistic creative vibes! Catch u in the classes 😊👍🏼🎨

Hi Michael! This class was very fun, seems to have given perspective to be a little more observant and try and reduce things to their basic shapes and then develop from there. Prior to this specific class, with trees for example, I’d try and do the finished product first and just get a giant scribble that held the shape of a tree. Out of the four animals we did, was really satisfied with the cat and the chunky tiger I made. It kind of amazed me that I was able to create something like that!

I have a question please : you gave all the basic techniques that any artist should know in those 40 video calsses ? or there is more and it s not everything ??? because i want to know maximum informations and developp my talent I am a Jurist so i studied Law but i never forget my talent .. i draw since i was 7 ..until now i draw and paint especially Anime / cartoon/ nature /faces ..but i never study Art or the basics ..I could draw great without knowing names of the techniques ( like persectives/ shadows/ ..) many parents i know wants me to teach their kids .. i love to do that ..but really i need to know the basics to teach them correctly ! .. so is it enough for me to follow the 40 episodes and practice ..or i need more ? thank youuuuuu

hey, thanks, i drew a cat, very cool, my hands shake, simply cannot draw a line without getting a jagged edge, BUT, wait, there's more, as you said, draw the cat with sketchy lines, hence, my shaky hand drawing makes great cat fur, I don't have to try to draw sketches of fur, my shaky hand draws the fur automatically, how cool is that..

25:00 The fact that you're trying to illustrate how the art school students would draw, intending an unproportionate elephant, but rather ending up with a good looking drawing Lol

    There were three tigers:
The tiger of the picture said: momma, why I'm called lily?
Momma tiger said: Well dear, when you were born, a lily petal fell in you head
The tiger Mark drew asked: momma, why am I called rose?
Momma tiger said: when you were born, a rose petal fell from the skies into your head, just like lily!
The tiger I drew is called brick
I like brick. brick is special for me
