You had me at the 2:28 mark in this video. I was trying & frustrated in removing the old Bemis toilet seat (hell, I have no idea how old the seat was). I looked under the seat/toilet base and saw some butterfly wing screws that I was able to loosen and remove the old toilet seat. Thank you so much for this video! I was able to install a new Bemis toilet seat with no problem. Thanks again!
Non-mechanical person here, I read the printed info on the Kohler toilet seat box, got my Phillips head screwdriver ready and was foiled. I did toss out the old and put on the new seat with your help.

Thanks for the suggestion of holding the 'nut' to get the bolt off. New home owner- figuring things out on my own as much as I can- with out calling my dad or brother for help. This def built up my self confidence lol.

After 3 yrs of living single I replaced my toilet seat cover and I was about to return it until u saved me with this video. Mine is a lil loose still but maybe it's cheap I got it at DDs discount

As soon as you said you were going to hold the top of the bolt and unscrew the wing nut from underneath the toilet, I was thinking - this dude has NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE, Lol!!! Of COURSE, the easiest, correct, and most OBVIOUS way to do it is to UNSCREW FROM THE TOP! That's why they make it with a Phillips head. LOL

Make sure you don’t throw away the new threaders like I just did. Nowhere on the box did it say anything about this. Found mine in the trash. Finally done. I’m tired. Always mention in your video about the new threaders which may be attached to the box.
