So far the bit about the buttons on the inside was a nice tidbit.
For anybody that is paying $50 or $100 on Amazon for one of those hard shell protective plastic cases there's a cheaper option. Look for clamshell cases that power tools go in like DeWalt take a grandma tool and cut the inside plastic out of the case and get styrofoam at a craft store the cases from Amazon come with a piece of craft styrofoam inside and they're literally just a clamshell case for a power tool with the insides curved out and a blank piece of Styrofoam from a craft store put in. I got a case that was for a big DeWalt tool set clamshell case would have been like 150 bucks or 100 bucks on Amazon or more without logo on it LOL. I personally didn't have a dramatool so I cut the insides out with a large grinder and cutting wheel I haven't gotten into the craft store yet I may just end up grabbing a cushion off of a couch that somebody threw out and use the inside foam out of one of those and like with the cases from Amazon just got the phone to match with a exacto knife. I bought one of the cases from Amazon back when I had a quest to and I was livid when I got a case with a piece of generic foam that you have to cut yourself I assume the phone would be pre-cut and when I got a third party head strap the head strap won't fit inside the case because the case is too shallow lol. So in order to put the headset in that plastic case I have to take the head strap off every time. For the record I still use both the quest to and Quest 3 alternately mostly I use them for the television feature more than games. I like the better image quality of the quest 3 but I've been having little quirkiness like I can't seem to get the screen as big for watching movies on the quest 3 as I can for the quest 2

Got mine yesterday. 35 first vr headset. Realistic mixed reality table tennis. Golf that isn't mario on a switch (i do love you nintendo) and shooters i can actually enter and i understand the gameplay and am not absolutely some lost old man. Yes! Very glad i splurged and got this.
Is there anyway to move the wings on the side of the side of the headset because I have sweat getting into the speaker when I play from the top of my ears

If you tend to play VR games for hours on end, I would recommend the "bobo VR m3 pro" head strap which comes with a removable magnetic baery and will extend your play time by a couple of hours (you can even charge the baery with a USB-C cable whilst playing and play indefinitely)

I am too short in one of my games. How can I move the display down so I am in effect taller? The push down on the stick just pops me up and down a little. I really need to drag the display down and I know I saw that, but can't find it now.

I recommend getting a better headstrap with a battery attachment.
The original headstrap is not very good and the battery life on this is maybe 2 hours.
This kills 2 birds with one stone.

as far as I know, I'm the first person that reported the trigger and Oculus button recording methods just like another tip I'm giving today, those are all common knowledge, I got a tip better than all of them combined. as long as you have voice command enabled under settings, you can double tap the Oculus/Meta button on the right controller and power off your headset after double tapping the Meta button just say "power down headset" and it will say are you sure, you just say "yes" and it will power down the headset, additionally if you double tap the Oculus/meta button you also can control the volume turning it anywhere from 1 to 10. 10 being 100% volume..

been cross looking between the quest 3 and vision pro and ill probably wait for the cheaper vision headset but the quest 3 is such a good value proposition
Given that Apple is known for having high prices, I'm not sure a significantly cheaper version will be made

Anyways, quest 3 for gaming and fun mixed reality, vision pro for productive/business purposes. Vision Pro doesn't even have controllers, so it's the worst headset for gaming.
It has changed my views on VR gaming. Flat screen gaming just doesn’t feel the same anymore

Got one through Affirm, Ive used Affirm before and is great, payment plans that fit whatever, Im paying 35 a month for 24 months and you can always pay off more than that every so often to shorten the plan when your in a good spot.
