I finally enabled the launch control 2 step on the ECU master emu black that is powering the Single turbo 2jz in my 1995 Toyota Supra build with its 4in exhuast! The sounds that this thing makes are insane!

Hey, Trevor. Are you planning on changing the Supra steering wheel to the 3-spoke one? I think it would suit the car much more and still look OEM :)
My jz starts the same then I made the fuel pump prime little long helped alot
Add more cranking fuel for cold weather E85.. I had a flex fuel Avalanche and when I interrogated the fuel maps it showed a 40% increase in fuel during crank below a certain temperature ( I forget what temperature it was.. but it was close to 32-35*)..

Is 5w-40 really ok for towing long distances in the winter? I went with 15w-40 and just plug in the block heater when it’s cold.
Trevor, try feather footing the throttle for those quick cold starts, it may help

I'd advise against using a bias ply slick and skinny on a street car. You run the risk of damaging driveline components and it's also really sketchy on a track that's not solely prepped for them and is going to see a mix of regular street tires. A dot drag radial and normal tires up front are more than enough for any street car.

What weight oil do u use? U said one and holding another. Lmbo!!!
Does the ECU master have a cranking/starting fuel enrichment table? When i ran e85 with s300 I was able to make that thing start like a regular car every time, even down to 15F sitting outside. I had 750cc injectors and they were nearly maxed out on cold start, but really made a difference. E85 cars need a LOT of fuel on cold start.
I agree, not enough prime pulse and cranking fuel to get it started within few seconds. Afterstart enrichment seems to be a bit poorly tuned too. Also If no idle air control valve is being used to get enough air flow into the engine, the ignition advance needs to be advanced easily up to 25-30degs on cold starts to even get it to idle without throttle input. This is all tuning related, not an E85 issue because I've tuned my EMU on E85 and it works perfectly when dialed in.

Just bought myself a series 1 MKIV and have been looking into 2 step a lot. Is there a specific launch control I should get to get those nice bangs and pops you see in most videos?
Jyie 01 Any good quality stand alone ecu should have the ability to set up 2 step and anti-lag. I’m running an ECU Masters EMU Black just like Trevor, plan to set mine up soon.

With E85 being such a bastard to start, wouldn't it be worth having a small tank of petrol in the car with a separate map for cold starts. Once it's warmed up, flick a switch and swap pumps and map to E85?
Or is it not as simple as that? It isn't that common at the pumps in the UK.

They are nice single is just simpler. I always go single on my supras for simplicity. They do sound great though with twins.

Only if you don't know how to tune it correctly. My jzx100 with emu black and E85 starts like a charm on cold mornings, and I don't even have any kinda IACV valve. Only fixed throttle opening and ignition idle control lol.

Why does no one that run E85 start the car on petrol and then switch over to e85 once it’s running for few minutes? Just like how LPG works

Aaron _z33 yeh but really how hard is it to get like a small fuel cell that hold like 10ltrs of fuel and small pump .. seen other cars that run the opposite petrol for street and e85 for track.
Satveer Degun id say cost is the biggest factor. you need a intake that is made for staged injection, 6 more injectors, and a seperate fuel system...all for a clean cold start. Imo 93 octane with a meth kit would be the easy solution but honestly I don't think many people drive supras when it's 30 degrees out lol.
I've run 7 years with E85 all year round. Coldest start without block heater has been in -32 C/-25 F with 76% ethanol. Needed a couple attemps to start but was running in less than 10 seconds. Just needs a lot more fuel in crank to get enough fuel vapor to combust and more ASE.

That ole worn out motor blew about 3 quarts of oil into the catch can during the two step setting.
That "ole worn out motor" was completely rebuilt from the ground up.
Zero oil in the catch can after 2k miles of riping it
@@carguyty9370 I have a catch can on my 09 WRX and she spits a little bit here and there but not too awful much.
