Great video. To cut fuel only for Speeduino in tunerstudio, go to tuning->engine protection->common engine protection. Then select fuel only under protection cut
Btw if I get it right this isnt like Megasquirts clutch-switch based launch control right? Just so I can combine this knowledge with Gregs launch control vid. Sadly I cant get as much info on Speeduino even though I plan to get one next month and the diy-efi guys arent as helpful as speedyefi...
It’s exactly like Megasquirt! This is clutch switched also. SpeedyEFI and Speeduino run the exact same firmware so if you have questions just post them in the SpeedyEFI group, they’re very responsive. Good luck!
@@CashedOutCarsso do you have to wire the clutch switch to the ECU or jump anything internally? On my second turbo Miata project. Didn’t run launch control on the first one lol
Again a very useful episode. Got the ECU now, just need to convert MK1 to manual then can setup. Do you know if an intercooler from a S3 could be re-used with a miata setup? Hoping to use spares part we have rather than buying new.
That’s a great idea, Right now I have mine set up too. This turbo tries to boost to the moon and I also want the extra safety. I’ll work on that video tonight!
Hey man love the vids, quick question do you ground the switch or get it hooked up with 12V/5V? Couldn't get mine to detect it, super new to the whole speeduino ecu. Thanks in advance!
Mine did this too. Asked Isaac and Chris on the forums and they didnt have anything to help. I just do full spark cut, but if you figured it out, I'd love to know how you did it.
I tried setting it up like this, and while it launches great, the limiter is still applied in gear. I checked the common clutch switch spring and it's fine, and I've disabled my neutral safety switch under the center console.
That seems to be a common issue for people, I haven't figured out the solution yet. Is your car a running on a PNP Miata ECU? If you do figure it out, please let us know to help others out!
@@CashedOutCars I've read in the forums what people do it's putting a switch to interrupt the wire going to the speeduino to avoid the limiter kicking in when changing gears.
Same for me, bmw m52b25, even if i set it to retard 35 degrees, no difference. It keeps it on the rpm but nothing else, also i have the registered version of ts, i do not see the option to add extra fuel with launch controll?
Hi There, is there a way to setup launch control with a clutch switch that is grounded while depressed and open whil being pressed? I have a oe switch in my m52 Tur o e30 and would like to use it. It operates this way unfortunately.. Thank you in advance!
They do for the 94-95! And they are currently testing one for OBDII cars, so it won’t be long until that’s available to the public! Also if you don’t need a PNP kit they made a fishdog kit that you can wire to run later cars

What if you set you fuel adder to let's say -100%? wouldn't that effectively cut both spark and fuel? or it would just zero out the VE and cause your engine to die?
Thank you for your comment :) i have already found out that myself. Also have been tuning my car by myself so now i got pretty good understanding of what is where and how to use it :)

I'm definitely trying launch control on my 97 1.8l. Rally inspired build with active aero and active suspension, with Borg Warner EFR 6258.
Sounds like an awesome build to me. Do you have pictures and videos of it? I’m super interested
Here's the much requested video on setting up Launch Control on a Speeduino or SpeedyEFI ECU. Enjoy!

Hey do you know how I could wire my launch control up to a switch? U would really love it so I could build boost when doing rolling launches
Intercept the brown/white wire coming off the clutch switch. I did it yesterday but I cut it near the ms3 and wire it to a switch and back.
My project is a 1997 Honda Civic Coupe with a D16Y7 getting the "minime" VTEC swap that will be turbocharged along with much much more work.
Awesome! Enjoy your build!
Hey I was wondering did you wire your clutch switch into the ecu? If so how were you able to do it?
On the speedyefi ecu no wiring to the ecu is required. Just make sure your clutch switch is working. I had to replace the spring in mine
I had to set mine to pin 12. Na6 pnp board

If you can route it it’ll work! Just look to see where it’ll fit and where you can run the inlet and outlet

My launch control stays on whenever I’m driving without the clutch pressed, any tips?
I have the Na6 pnp board and I set the clutch pin to 12 and now it works. Board default is wrong

I think it's the ground, look up in the wiki
I know this is old but it’s ground and on my Na6 pnp board I had to assign the launch pin to 12
Thanks!👍
